Hi guys!
I've been sitting on this one for a few days, hoping the forums would get fixed by now. I don't want to wait anymore though, so let's just hope this thread stays relatively manageable and people's replies will hopefully land in the right areas!
Some thanks!
First of all, I would just like to thank everyone who helped me get over my little building slump and the words of encouragement over at my previous WIP Mojo thread. Not wanting to disappoint all the people who responded to the post, I plowed forth and conquered! And to thank all of those kind enough to offer your repeated words of encouragement, I kinda put in some "acknowledgments" into the lot itself... some are quite hidden! I think I might have overdone it though!
Some details and rationale!
As I stated in my WIP thread, this build was for Sunset Impressions, a Monet inspired neighborhood by the members of Builders' Boulevard. This lot was built on a 40x32 lot as that was the lot this was assigned, but I thought for usability and the exchange, I would place it on a 40x40 lot, touching up the landscaping a little more. So for those who will be downloading the Sunset Impressions neighborhood, the version there will be slightly different.
This build was challenging on many levels, one being I had to recreate a real chateau on such a small lot size. I had to trim some stuff out and scale things way down. The interiors are not accurate to the actual chateau at all, but I am hoping I captured the feel all the same.
For the interior layout, there's 6 bedrooms plus 1 maid's quarters, 5 full baths, landscaped inner courtyard, eat-in kitchen, loooong dining hall, throne room, study nook, entry parlor, and an art gallery hallway. I tried to give each room it's own color theme without going too overboard and I tried to make sure to use lighter tones as the layout of the rooms are rather thin, so I needed to make sure it didn't look closed in. I envision it to be like a renovated castle so it has all the modern conveniences needed for sim households.
Some notes!
I did hang a lot of custom artwork painted by my sim. I know I am taking a huge risk with this and it may show up as big ?'s in your game. Hopefully this won't happen, but if it does, I am really sorry and I hope EA will address this bug eventually!
Please note that I used absolutely no premium store items for this build even though it says I did, but I do plan on redecorating with some premium items as I can't seem to resist the Regal Living set. I may post pictures of that later once I am done, but I am unsure about uploading that.
Anyways, enough with the typing and on with the stuff!

Make sure to poke around inside, Mmyoko. I left a surprise for you...
And about the challenge, I hope so! It's addict's turn, but she was having internet issues last I heard. She said she would try to email me if it weren't resolved. I haven't gotten an email though, so I'm assuming all is a go!
And thank you, Ralphie.
Edit: Stupid post! This goes after Mmyoko's first post.

Ahh, but those are only just a few of the MANY bears on the lot, Ralphie!
Mmyoko, I sent you a PM with an alternative way to download the chateau.
Amchristian: <3 I love the (( OOC )) brackets! Can definitely tell you were from the old AOL RP days! Definitely make sure to peek around inside too! You'll find a surprise for you too.
Animaga: You must take a peek around inside too and see if you can find something!
Edit: DAMMIT! I'm just going to stop posting for awhile and thank everyone at once later. This post is supposed to go under Amchristian's first post!

I'm so glad you put this up! I know it is hard when the forums are screwed up. It is gorgeous! It's going in my hood! I think you laid it out perfectly. You have plenty of room inside and a spacious courtyard as well. The colors are beautiful. Very fitting for royalty! D&R!
Aw crap! well at least I didn't go on top of your first post!!!

Radically awesome, Anju!
Absolutely Brilliant.
Brilliantly absolute.
I barely every download but this ones going in my collection. One of my favorite Anju creations. Are we getting a new challenge today?

Ugh. Hating the forums at the moment.
Will take a look around, you've got me intrigued.
EDIT: This should be under Anju's second post which is above my post but it should be beneath my first post.

*punches computer screen in the face*
Anju, my computer will download any lot except something you've created. Nothing I've seen of yours will install on my computer. And now you've got me all excited for my surprise.
Make sure you never get assigned to flip a lot of mine, LOL. But seriously I don't think our computers like each other very much.

Oi! I got a post through on another thread, so I'm trying again, here. lol
I love this so much, Anjubee. It's just mind boggling. Every color... every detail... every arrangement. Every thing about this is beautiful and awe inspiring.
I downloaded, recommended and favorited. Fantastic work!
(( Hey! That only took me about ten times to get posted! lol ))

Ugh I want this so badly.
Is there any way I can download a lot other than directly from this site?
