UPDATE:
From Magician,
"I will 'Hand' over the Town for Tessa' on January 22, 2010 at 20:00 CAT time = 13:00 EST to Tessa's Mom at a Semi-Formal gathering of all who knew Tessa. Our Minister will also be there.

I have arranged it to be a spectacular Event as to commemorate Tessa's Life. There are 50 Guests invited (Incl Family).

So from me, I want to thank you from the bottom of my Heart for all your help and effort. I really appreciate it and I know Tessa does as well."

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

As members of the Creative Corner forum, you may or may not know the story of Tessa.

Tessa, god-daughter of simmer Magician1, was an 8-year old girl who was an avid Sims 3 fan. Tessa had an inoperable brain tumor, and in August, she was given about three months to live. At that time, she asked Magician1 to build her a home that she drafted the floorplan for. You can see the result of that build here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1028337 . On October 4, shortly after we began this neighborhood for her, Tessa passed away.

To honor Tessa, we would like to bring together the Sims community to finish creating this town just for her. After talking with Magician1 about Tessa, I have learned she loved mysteries and adventures, from Rambo and Patricia Cornwell stories to amazing destinations like Dubai! Bringing together these interests, Magician and I thought it would be fun to create a jungle themed 'hood for Tessa, complete with its own mystery and young detectives.

We would like this project to truly be a joint adventure to bring together the amazing people found on these boards. We hope you will join us.

Sincerely,
Addict and Magician1

What a wonderful idea Addict, this is a truly exceptional and heart-warming way for the Sims community to give back. I would be glad to help in any way I can.

I myself am an avid follower of mystery stories, and thus I would be more than thrilled to help in this neighbourhood's creation in any way possible.

EDIT: I have searched through a stack of my old storylines and have selected some of my favourite characters. I have begun creating some storylines in my head already. I'll be sure to post back when I have completely formed ideas.

Thanks, Sunset!
I'm hoping to have some storywriters to help us come up with ideas for characters and lots and then to create some stories, perhaps, once the neighborhood is complete.

Kirsalynne,
I put them on the list!

Definitely need Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson (Full name Dr. John H. Watson. You Definitely need his home, as quoted from Wikipedia: "From 1881, Holmes is described as having lodgings at 221B Baker Street, London, from where he runs his private detective agency. 221B is a flat up seventeen steps, stated in an early manuscript to be at the "upper end" of the road." His residence is maintained by his landlady, Mrs. Hudson.
And: Until the arrival of Dr. Watson, Holmes works alone, only occasionally employing agents from the city's underclass, including a host of informants and a group of street children he calls the Baker Street Irregulars.

Holmes' family: Holmes claims that his great-uncle was Vernet, the French artist. He has an older brother, Mycroft, a government official, who appears in three stories; [6] he's mentioned in a number of others.[7] Mycroft has a unique civil service position as a kind of memory-man or walking database for all aspects of government policy. Mycroft is described as even more gifted than Sherlock in matters of observation and deduction. However, he lacks Sherlock's drive and energy, preferring to spend his time at ease in the Diogenes Club, described as "a club for the most un-clubbable men in London."

A love interest for Holmes: The only woman to impress Holmes was Irene Adler.

The villian: Professor James Moriarty is something of a Mafia Godfather."

This all came from wikipedia.

I'm also a soon to be published author, so I don't mind giving a hand with story ideas either.

Wow addict, this is a great Idea!

I would be happy to do some lots and I will edit if I have Ideas for them.

My Ideas:
- "House on the Hill" a rickety old house on the Goth's lot, possibly the center of the mystery(is this a good idea?)
