I have a question, I was going to move some of the bin families into the mobile home, but I've noticed there was an unfamiliar family already moved in. I assume that the game placed it there. But does story progression need to be on in order for families to move in? Because I turned it on for this reason.
Is anyone familiar with the Sweeney family? There appear to be of dark skin and one of them is an adventurer.

Coasterboi,
I am so happy for you! I created my thread in Idea's and Feedback to get the attention of EA's Sim Team to come and check out your world and they responded. And look he even came here and paid you homage. Sweet! They really needed to see this world and I am glad they did. I bet SimGuruRay even showed the other members of the Sims Team your amazing world.
Maybe someday they will make a city life expansion and take some of your ideas and concepts!

Coaterboi,
Don't know if this is one of the tears you found already, but my athlete was working out in the open beach gym (speaking of which that bathroom could use a couple of showers) but when he got hungry and I noticed other sims there also showing hunger I had him go make some hotdogs in one of the barbeques to the left of the bathrooms - the tear is in the sidewalk between two picnic tables nearest the road side, not the beach side when you are looking toward the road..
To the fellow asking about families moving in, well I always get lots of families in big worlds, so they are not just NPCs, but sim families - as I never shut off story progression because I notice the game tends to move or kill off more sims when you do as the town can not progress, so it just kills them - although the paper will tell you they moved out of town, so I don't know if sim families will move in if story progression is off or not.
So that the sims families I like to control do not do a heck of a lot before I get back to them, I play my game with aging on 190 days, with free will on high, and like I said story progression on.
But with this town I am not paying much attention to any sims but the ones I am using for testing purposes, as I know this is only a betta version. So I don't want to get to know those sims. hehehe.
I only added about 2 hours play in here tonight and did not find anything else. I do have to wonder about the book store problem the other simmer mentioned as I have sent at least one of each of my Sims to either both bookstores and the library with no problems. But then I rarely ever have like game crashes or freezing or lag unless something isn't right with the world. But when I go in to play tomorrow night, I'm putting in my tester family with the housefull of orphans, so I can check out the school - some parks, and other places with a larger group of Sims - I'll try both bookstores again, just to be sure.
But I am extremely pleased with this world, it's especially gorgeous when my Sim was jogging the beach community. Just lovely. I still need to take him jogging into the town side - so tomorrow night will be busy.
I only played a short while tonight though as I had to go try and rescue a love struck Sim in another world of mine (not a testing world, but one I play) as I learned the game had moved in a Casanova type near her secluded beach. It's another world I really love and enjoy playing, so I ended up staying a bit longer than I intended. hehehe

Thanks for the info Reg As a matter of fact, i fixed the tear you mentioned just tonight! However, theres another that pops up near the movie theater in Emerald Beach, so i'll fix that one too. So far those two are the only ive spotted. I've also overhauled the pacific highway, so itl look different in the next version. Much more beautiful!

I didn't think it was possible to look lovelier. You really out did yourself for sure. The more I see of Red County, the more I love it.
Yeah I only saw that one - I'm trying to remember if I checked the theater area out, and I thought I had when I sent one of my other sims to the theater to take a class in guitar. I usually try and check out the rabbitholes twice - once with a class and once by sending a sim either to work there or to go to what ever they have going on at that rabbit hole. Usually while a sim is in taking the class I scan around the area as I can stay street level while waiting for them to come back out. But I must have missed it. Sorry about that.
It will be great when we have the finished version, I'll definitely be playing this world for sure.

How fast does the game generate families?
Will it fill the entire map eventually?

Coasterboi I'm so glad you like it. I'm having so much fun in your world, my imagination is going on overload
I've taken so many great pics I just hope the system will upload properly today. I've decorated some of the celebrity homes but just for the picture album to show off the homes better. I'm no professional so I'll leave that part to you No, I'm just a huge fan that's happy to spread the word about your AWESOME world. I'll let you know when there are more pics up. I took some of Bruce Lee's place from the inside

Okay Coasterboi, I've been exploring some more and found some small things maybe you meant to do, not sure. One, in the larger city you have a coffee shop that has a blender which looks good, but I added an expresso machine that EA gave us. Not the big giant ugly white one, but the silver and copper one. I mean it is a coffee shop Also, my teens were at the pool at the SHHS fitness center, I think those are the initials, well, there's no bathroom toilets. They both had, well, accidents
I'm sure that you meant to put toilets because you made a boys and girls bathroom. As for the coffee shop, I hate the rabbitholes so I love the coffee shop, but I know you are going to change somethings when we see exactly what comes with the new EP. I'm sure there will be plenty of shops in your world to visit.
Also, I visited the homes near the mall. The ones that all look the same and surround the pool. OH MY!!! Wow!!! They are perfect for my girls that are roommates! They are huge! The homes I mean. I think I counted 5 or 6 BIG bedrooms. And who wouldn't want to live that close to the mall. Course I'd be in trouble if I lived that close to a mall
I've been snapping away taking pics of the city. EA really needs to fix the uploader fast before I forget the storylines that go with each pic.
I LOVE YOUR WORLD!
*******RED COUNTY ROCKS!!!*********
Sorry for yelling, I'm just so excited

Whoa! That's some pretty impressive work there!
I love it when people do stuff like this, not only does it show a wonderful level of skill and determination, but it also inspires me to have a go at the World Creator
I normally use Vue D'Esprit for my artwork, I can see it being used to generate height maps for the Sims 3 now...

Cyberqueen you beat me to it about the lack of toilets at the pool. Just discovered that myself. My sim luckily made it home in the nick of time. hehehe
Okay, back to the game....

Showers have been added to all pool and gym bathrooms, including the bathrooms at the school gym. The high school pool is
also now a "pool" lot so the game knows it as such. Thanks for the testing guys! I appreciate it!!
