Question: For portrait points, does it matter who makes the portrait? Do they have to be directly related to the founder?

My sim is living with Molly French and her illegitimate daughter Sandi. Can Sandi paint the portrait even though she is not related by blood?

I don't think it matters who paints the portrait. It just has to be of a legit (as in linked directly to the heir in the family tree) family member as a young adult or older. Then it has to be kept on display at the family home.
