((@Dinah: Oedipus, in Greek mythology, was prophecized to kill his father, the King, and to marry his mother. The King wouldn't allow this, so he condemned baby Oedipus to banishment/execution (Idk which) and figured that would be the last of it.
A shepherd found baby Oedipus and took him to Corinth, where the childless King took him in and raised him as his own. Oedipus, grown up, was speaking to an Oracle who told him of his prophecy. Thinking that the King and Queen of Corinth were his real parents, Oedipus left so as to bring no harm to them.
On the road to Thebes, Oedipus meets his real father and they quarrel over whose chariot has the right-of-way. They fight, and Oedipus kills his father and his men.
Later, Oedipus was chatting with the Sphinx. He solved her riddle, and his reward is the hand of the now-widowed Queen. Thus, the prophecy is fulfilled, but nobody knows it.
The Oedipus Complex, the way that Freud thinks the world works, basically states that every man wants to marry his mother. Freud was kind of an idiot, you see...))

I carried her up the stairs of my tower, grinning excitedly.

I smile softly, with my eyes shut..

Aura smiled and nodded. "Yes," she said, "after the wedding you should definitely go get Bellette."

((At least Lucien will be more Oedipus than Nero...Nero tried to have his mother drowned, but she survived, so he had her stabbed to death instead...and he chopped off his wife's head and gave it to his mistress...lmao))

I gently lay Ayumi down on our bed, grinning at her and laying beside her.

I nodded my head slightly.
"They are," I murmured. I rested one hand on baby Lucien's back and my other hand gently took Lucifer's.

"I will," I replied softly.

"Now then," Aura said, cradling Kairos close, "go on and go see if my dress is ready...the sooner we're wed, the better."

Adonis

I gave her a small nod. I leaned over and kissed her cheek, smirking.
"I'll be back, hopefully with your dress," I laughed, and continued to the door.

"I love you," Aura called after Adonis, watching him go before glancing down at Kairos and slipping into the throne room.

I neared the castle, carrying a large box in my arms. I was infuriated, why had the dress not been delivered to the castle like I had requested specifically? Ah, it didn't matter now, though - the shopkeeper lay dead on the floor of his store, my special powder working its magic to eliminate the body.

Aura sat upon the throne in the throne room, cooing over her son. She hoped Adonis would return soon, frankly, she was quite bored in his absence.
