Here it is. A compiled list of traits that effect painting styles.

Genius
- Paintings are made out of hexagons/pentagons.
- Can paint Still-life - Genius at level 6.

Grumpy

- Can paint Still-life - Insane at level 6.

Neurotic
- Paintings are in bright neon colors.

Perfectionists
- Perfectionists spend more time painting, but what they eventually finish is noticeably better than something created by other Sims.
- Needs 15 minutes longer to paint each stage of a painting.
- 20% more chance to paint a brilliant painting.
- 15% more chance to paint a masterpiece painting

Virtuoso

Awsome! I never knew about some of those effects. I'm going to go make an insane, nuerotic, evil, genius sim. And see what piantings come out. Thanks

Lol that could be a funny sim. I'm not sure the sims traits "mix" in the painting, IE get an Insane and genius painting. I think you might get one or the other. Give it a try and let me know!

Thanks for the info, etherealwog! I've been noticing differences, but hadn't classified them.

Also sims who love the outdoors tend to make paintings that feature animals

This is very useful.
When I build I use two Sims to make paintings for the house. Last time I kept changing their traits to see if they would paint anything different.

Glad everyone finds it helpful. As for the "white flair" I have no idea. I think I've seen that the paintings are kind of tinted white. I can't remember off the time of my head though.

I had a virtuoso sim paint, and the white flair is kind of a white light. It looks like there is to much sun or a bit over exposed so to speak.

As far as I know, yes the traits that affect painting are still true. I don't know however, if new traits have any effects.
