1.5/1.6 patch for mac - available?

Has anyone managed to download the new patch yet? My launcher is about as much use as a big useless thing...

my game launcher says up to date. on my mac but its still at version 1.4. i hope it comes soon.....

Can you believe it we were screwed again. This is just becoming ridiculous

i dont know if i want the patch, its installed on my pc and so far i cant start a new game because my whole trait list is completly blank!... and of course you cant make a new game without traits,,,

ah i was a mod my husband installed. once i took it out its works fine now. (except for the new roofs)

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. It would've been helpful it it stated that it was a PC only update, unless I missed that.

Actually, it had a mac-specific note on it, so I don't understand why we haven't gotten the patch yet. I read something elsewhere about WA not working without the patch too. I just ordered it a day or so ago with single-day shipping, and it would be quite silly to have done so if I have to wait a few days to play it now.

I successfully installed WA without the patch tonight.

thats a relief. that was my only worry! No point buying the game on friday if i cant install it!

This makes me SO mad. I've just bought myself a lovely new shiny MacBook Pro and the game seems to be working really well on it, so now all I want to do is update it with the new patch so I can recolour stairs etc. Why is it so difficult for EA to release the patch the same time as PC? Of course, no word from the Sim Gurus on here...Having been on a PC for the last couple of years, I'd forgotten quite how useless EA are at supporting the Mac community.

I was told the 1.5/1.6 update IS available for mac. On relating how my launcher says im up to date at 1.4, she advised me to do a fresh install (backup, delete the sims 3 documents folder, application and preferences) and try again

This didnt help for me (still at 1.4), but it might work for others if you have the time/inclination to test it.

This has been my problem with all the patch downloads on my mac. If my PC didn't somehow die i would play the sims 3 on that. But as I only have my MacBook Pro now I'm stuck playing on a Mac. I think this maybe my issue with the store and why I'm having issues getting my purchases to actually appear in the launcher. I also contacted Tech support maybe I will get another answer. If I get anything I'll let you guys know.

i just wish they'd release the download on the website so i dont have to deal with the launcher. its still not working this morning.
