CC and WA work together Granted, it depends on what CC you're using. Anything that modified sim behavior (Awesome Mod, Autonomous Woohoo, etc...) will not work as that code was edited in the expansion and patch. The creators of those mods just need to update their mods. This happens in World of Warcraft (in the case of UI mods) and every other game out there as well whenever there's a new patch
However, you've stated that you're only using hair, clothing and skin mods. Those should be fine. I'm using custom hair and an eye replacement mod and everything is working just fine <3

Pookysimslover -
Hitting enter after each sentence is just as annoying as capitalizing every word in a sentence (and makes a post unnecessarily longer than it should be.) So if you will pardon the brief criticism; PLEASE use paragraphs.
Lets be honest here, your first post was akin to a panicked complaint about how CC wasn't working properly. I will apologize in that I didn't read all of the one lined wonders in your first post nor your posts afterward (a presumptuous thing to do on my part.) Even in Sims2, the modding community had to figure out where to place the CC when the new expansions came out. It is not something EA... Maxis... meh what ever they call themselves... ever openly stated.
Mods are, for their entirety, a user feature. It means (again) that the modding community has to figure out any changes made to fix their mods or get them working again. The game developers do not take mods into consideration when they make an expansion or patch the game. While it is the content creator's job to note and fix their stuff it is NOT always their fault the stuff borks. (Also compatibility with each other is a bigger issue in Sims3 than it was in previous games.)

I have tremendous faith in the modding community, they'll find a way around it.
I won't buy WA until all the CC issues are resolved.

I havent been able to run WA with CC, ANY CC in the Mod>Packages folder.
Perhaps its that my computer is way too slow but thats what happened.
However EA knows that CC is the reason the game is popular, so while they are trying to cash in on it (the store) they aren't stupid enough to cut it out completely. (at least we hope they're not)
Still, I havent been able to run Sims without a crash yet.

I haven't checked to see if anyone else already answered, BUT.
I got most of my custom content to work just fine. Hair, clothes, and patterns should all still work. Mods that affected how fast I gained skills or what have you, those I had to get rid of.
I'm not sure if it matters, but I also moved the Mods folder and the resources.cfg file to the World Adventures folder, rather than The Sims 3 folder.
See if that helps.

AS stated there are mods that work, I have a few installed that are working great. You just need to test each one and find out if it works, most mods will be updated if they can be to work with WA if they don't right now.

I haven't had a problem with actually running my game with CC. From what I can tell it all works perfectly fine. However, after installing WA, it slowed my game WAY down. And when I say it slowed down, I mean taking out a book to read and almost finishing it before Sunset Valley loaded. Really annoying because I never had a problem with the game lagging before.
I took out the mods folder and ran the game without CC (except the ones installed by the download manager)and it now works fine. So I'm now trying to figure out if there is one or a few pieces of CC that conflicts with WA or if I just have too much of it, and that's the problem?
What do you think? Anyone with the same issues?

I believe THAT is the trick.
btw to everyone
ALL CONTENT ADDED IN A .package FOLDER WILL WORK
the mods we are talking about are the ones kept in Program Files>Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods
If you have anything in that folder (from what I've found)
It will be buggy and not load.
Anything installed through the Sims launcher works.
I haven't tried what KortneeSims is suggesting, I will let you know as soon as I do.
However do check your mod files, I had a few awesomemod files hiding in my Skins folder and my Misc folder. So make sure you check that things are compatible and all that.
I am currently running with only Launcher installed CC, and it is actually faster than when I had all CC and just The Sims running.
BTW there are new sliders in CAS. XD

This is not to force usage of the store. The file system has been modified so mod creators need only update their mods with the new directorys and system

I have had to take out my cc and my game works wonderfully ... in fact I have never had it work better. I do have the CC from this website, and a few others site in my game, but the only reason I was able to keep the cc from other sites was because they used the launcher to download it or upload it which ever in to the game. All my CC that I place in game through other non sim programs or directly by myself into a folder of the game messed my game up. So my suggestion is only download CC that requires you to use the launcher to get in to your game, at least for now until our wonderful modding community can help us out with the problem; But I do have to say I am half tempted not to put CC into game cause the graphics are that much better in this EP, I have a very good comp that will run all of sims 2 games on it as well as Sims 3 and Call of duty etc: on it with out trouble with great graphics. Only thing is before the updates and the EP I was having very little but still Graphic issues not caused by my computer, but now, I am not they are wonderful amazing... My graphic prob was I would see little dots, ina wiggle like line across my screen a little annoying but an easy ignore...Now those lines are gone, and my game runs faster, smoother, and everything.... and I still have Some CC in there that was from this site or a site that required you to use the launcher to get the object in game.

Wait a minute. I have tons of cc and all I did was remove my mods in order to play WA. I haven't gone into create a style or create a sim since but I know I didn't remove my cc ad the game works fine and I know my sims are sporting cc hair ad clothes right now in the game and I have had no problems. Is this no cc thing law? Am I going to have problems with my game in the recent future? or is the game only screwed up by some cc?

I have A LOT of CC and my game runs beautifully. Granted, I got the 2.1 patch. I had a lot of problems with the patch before that (the one the whole forum complained about), but since getting the new one my WA runs beautifully. It saves faster than it did even before I got WA and it's only crashed twice in the last two days (as opposed to ever 3 hours like it did before).
