*Updated* a "did you know" post...including some DYK's from WA and HELS

Everyone probably noticed this already, but I LOVE how pregnant sim's tummies actually grow throughout the 3 days, instead of "popping" into the bigger size. I think it's neat.

I like how you can drag things and just drop it over places it can go.. i.e. Newspapers can be drug over the trashcan to throw it away, food can be drug over the fridge, books over the book case. ANd you can even drop items over a sim portrait to drop it in the inventory really quick..

You can change the color of streetlights too!

- You can drag a collected beetle or butterfly to your home and it will put them in a display terrarium for free.

- After sending a collected stone off to be cut, you can display it by dragging it into your home. You can them change the display type from pillow or stand.

I didn't even notice pregnancy belly growth other than the initial pop cause my sim was fat >.> she went into labor when she got out of the shower and I was spazzing cause at first I couldn't figure out how to get her to the hospital.

I love this thread... keep them coming!

I don't know if this is cause my sim is a computer wiz or just cause she's learning to fix things but you can upgrade things (toilet, sink, etc) to be auto cleaning!

It's from fixing things. If you look on their skill journals, you will see each skill has certain rewards they can earn for getting better at stuff.

That comes from the Tinker/Handy skill. I wish I could mod my game to have my Sim say the 'I'm an Engineer!' quote from Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory every time she upgrades something.

THANK YOU!!!!!!! I finally gave up trying to figure out how to get a guitar into my sims inventory, so she could bring it to the park!! ARGGGGGH!!!!

I was reading the guid last night and found out a bunch of interesting things
: "certain parcels of land (like living on the beach) give sims on them the beautiful vista moodlet"
: You have to teach your toddler all the skills like walking, talking, and potty training in order to be able to pick their traits when they grow into a child
: You can be demoted or fired from your job if your mood or hygiene is to low.
: I knew we'd be able to play ghosts, but I didnt know we'd be able to have ghosts babies!!!
: Daredevils never burn to death in a fire (someone said they couldnt get their sim to die)
: sims with certain traits unlock diffrent interactiins only they can get
: Pyromaniac is a hidden trait given to children of firefighter NPCs. Pyros can set things on fire and get a positive moodlet. They can turn a fruit into a flame fruit and eat it, they can also get an immune to fire trait as well
:children of the burgler NPC may get a sneaky trait
:if your sims make Ambrosia (you need Angel food cake and the deathfish) you can extend the sims life or feed it to a ghost to try and bring it back to life

: Dads get days off when a baby is born too
: If you want twins or triplets watch the kids channel or listen to kids music station. If you do both at the same time it increases the chances!

I killed a few sims with starvation and they came out as red ghosts. Their tombstones had empty plates with knifes and forks crossed over them.

I thought it was funny when my sim was walking through a community lot and came across a pregnant woman...my sim touched her belly and listened and then BAM the sim went into labor and my sim rushed her to the hospital!! She was even able to wait in the hospital with the mother (or at least that is what it said she was doing even though you couldn't see her).

These are all so cool! The first time my sims made waffles in the oven I was like WTF? too funny. I love how the food looks when it comes out...yummm! lol.

I loved that my kid sim knew to do her homework and pulled it "out of her rear" and did it without me worrying about it. Now to figure out how to hunt bugs, she wants one!
