Third time lucky Fid

I have nothing to post just yet, looking forward to seeing more of your WIP.

Stu I like the evening shot from the front of the house, very cool.

Midnight, your house looks perfect for the new EP on its way, nice job

Upgrade your life now! 12211 comes from: 1 Kitchen; 2 Living rooms; 2 Bathrooms; 1 Bedroom; 1 Baby Paradise Deluxe room.

midnight,

I'm going to be a little tough with you here. The blurring photos maybe a good way to showcase your work but it doesn't help with the critiquing I must say.

I like the statue idea out front with your house, and all the flora around and on top of our house. I think my main gripe through allot of it is the strong mix of pattern which I found to be a little too wild for my taste. The bedroom for instance; I'm sure it may be a really interesting piece of art deco for some folks, but I'm not a fan at all.

The next room with the kitchen in the back ground and the red chair seemed to me to be way over colored. This is probably what you were going for but again; I'm not a fan of it at all.

Now the next house is a better. I like the outside architecture though I think the orange is too much and too bright.

The first room in this house is something quite interesting. I would have liked to see maybe a little darker tiled floor here, your design ideas are wonderful. I take the piano isn't real being that "Late Night" isn't out yet, unless you've got friends at EA. LOL!!! We'd all be very envious of you if that were true. Your color ideas were well coordinated for his room and the furniture placement is well done.

The bedroom; Still not a fan here either. A little to bold I think.

Bathroom; An interesting design here but I think that it needed something else to keep it from looking too cold and impersonal. I would have suggested some natural green, like maybe a plant or two.

My overall advice would be to watch the patterns and the bold colors.

Rec for both.

Good luck with your thread. I'm sorry it got wiped out twice now. I am having a really hard time keeping up with real life right now because we found 2 puppies in the middle of the road, so on top of my already too busy schedule, I am now trying to house train, take care of and teach 2 three month old puppies. I will hopefully find them a home soon and be back in the swing of things. Then I can check in on Wednesdays. I know you will get a lot of support!

I love puppies but I don't have much patience for them. I'd rather take an old dog who has been around the block a few times. Kind of like myself.

Thanks,

A really amazing looking house here Stu. I'd sure like to see more; like maybe some interior.

Love the architecture but I'm really liking the unique rock landscaping idea. That's one I might have to steal from you some day.

The two shots included in this post would be my winner and 1st runner up. The night shot is the best but still; the day shot maybe more effective because it's easier to see. Your choice.

thanks fid! I am liking the night shot better, too! It just seems more dramatic.

Oh there will be plenty of interior shots on my thread when I am finished...

This is my current WIP - no name as of yet

Fidler I am trying to fix the pictures, they are too big

SillyCailey,

There is info on page one about resizing your photos. If you're still unclear; click to quote one of the post with photos I have on the first few post. When your post screen comes up; look to see what is added to the photos, right after jpg.

Let us know if you need any help.

Porky,

I think you're very talented. I also think that you only put a small percent of your talent into your work and you could do allot more. I suppose it's really a question if you have the desire to.

I would like to say that your work remind me of another builder that spent some time on my first Workshop thread but doesn't come around anymore. I think he just stopped playing the game but I'm not sure.

Your architecture is great and you have a flair for innovation. You also did a good job structuring rooms inside. That was one fine point of having a video instead of photos. Problem I have with videos is that I am somewhat absent-minded and forget sometimes of what I saw. They also don't give you much time to study things better.

I'll speak in general basically. The aspects of building you could use work on would be landscaping and interior design. I'd would really love to see a house that you took your time with and practice with CAS. Also learn to use decorative items much more. Plants, wall decor, statues; etc. Use these things in every room.

Also do some practicing with accent walls. If you have a flair for moderns, then great accent walls can be an asset to have. I will sometimes spend 30 minutes just trying to find a decent accent wall for a room in a new house.

Take each room of your house and make it your only focus. Keep working on that room until you are really happy with the results. Don't worry about time; You're looking for quality; not quantity.

Also, if you'll work it in steps with the help of this thread, you'll end up doing some really great houses that will even astonish yourself. Do this by sharing a few photos at a time while you work.

The last thing to express to you is your covershot. I know you would like to be successful as far as the Exchange and see allot of downloads. The best way to do that is to learn how to change your covershots. Once you learn how to do that and also use some great shots, you'll see that many others will also like your work.

There is information on page one of this thread. Look at the second post on the page.

I hope to see much more from you in the future.

Thank you! I'm actually working on a house, and I did notice that I didnt put any wall paintings or anything, so in this one I will try to put some plants, wall paintings, accents, ect. Thank you also for saying that you think I'm talented. I will try harder in the future. I'm also very self conscious about all of my creations. My past ones I dont think I put enough into it, so in my next one I hope its better I'm actually working on the construction video now

Just my opinion, but I find the night time pics to be hard to "see" on the exchange?
I kinda like the first pic.
