Well, with raises and promotions, money will start to roll in quickly. Just have to be patient. Right now I am pretty much rolling in dough =D

Thank you for all your input guys. That gives me something to look forward to with my sims. I really don't want to use cheats with my first few sims. And like some of you said, there are other options too. Thanks for the help

Edit: Oh yeah and this did come up as an Opportunity to work overtime and I let my sim do it. I think it earned him a raise too. I didn't see this as a permanent option though.

Don't really care, since I make them work until their shift ends and they bring home a full days pay.

I released that my surgeon sim is earning more and more since he got over 5 raises after reaching the top of the career, each time with more than $30 raise. This hourly pay definitely makes my sims earn more but it's hard to predict how much they are earning, probably I'm used to the daily pay in TS1 and TS2. Need some more time to adjust. Would be more convenient if I get a daily pay displayed.
