The last 4 times I bought sim points I have only received the badge, kinda sucks. 2-1000pts and 2-2000pts. I don't have one of the beds. Over all I have received the badge about 6 times and everything else but the evil bed.
I am going to try since I plan on getting Lunar world for me and my daughter so *crossing fingers* I get the bed.

I always just bought the 4000SP ones whenever I can, I didn't want to risk a repeat. And I didn't, I got the badge last as well.
After I got the badge, I went back down to 1000SP bundles that's pretty much when all I ended up getting were the badges.

I got the stuff using just 1000 simpoint bundles and the badge only once, so I think it's totally random, honestly. You don't need to get the higher bundles to get the TSM objects.
But I agree with the OP--for $40 I would want something a bit more... appreciative, as well.

I agree, I think this is just a matter of need. How much SP do you need? Or how much do you have set as this month's budget. The mystery bag items should really just be taken as a bonus collectible, not something you have to have.
If the 4000SP bundles are too much, then just go for the 1000SP ones. You'll get all of them in the long run anyway.

I think I have everything BUT the horse, but the last three times I bought $10 bundles all I got was the badge. I hadn't had that problem previously.
Oh well, guess I had better buy a $20 bundle ... some day :/

Well more andf more i get the impression that there is a program or whatever controling what you get.
I wanted to give it 1 last try to see if a delay between sp would make a difrence and teh results are as follows.
I bought 2 x 1000 Sp and again 2 badges so as far as i can see it there is a check
becouse 6 x 1000sp and 6 badges for each of them is not normal.
Seems until a SimGuru gives a answer to this its no more simpoints for me.
How hard can it be to give a Honest answer about tis thing?
I myself think we will never see a Honest answer from EA
!UPDATE!
since i needed some simpoints for this months 4th DD i deceided to get some more SP and bought 2 x 1000 SP
ANd you can gues what i got.
Again 2 badges witch now definatly makes me 100% sure that theres a check in teh reward program of the mysterious bag.
becouse come on 4x badge, 2x badge and another 2x badge thats no coincendence any more, i know thers a change you get some items you alreday have like 2x mirror or something like that but thsi is just 100 % SCAM
and for people that like dictonaries "swindle ; deceit ; fraud ; con ; Deception

Well even more proove that there is a check in my eyes.
Again i bought 2 x 1000 SP just to be extra sure and again 2 badges.
Witch now adds up to 6x 1000 + 2x 1000 + 2x 1000 SP = 10000 SP and 10 badges in 1 row thats not a coincedence anymore thats pure Fraud on EA's side so they can save some money and simple items taht doesnt cost them anything.
Its a BIG SCAM
And for people that dont know what it means the following
acording to a dictionary
Scam = "swindle ; deceit ; fraud ; con ; Deception"

I dont see what bonus is a collectable that only shows up in your collection one time if you get more.
As a matter of fact a collection is made up off diffrent collectebles not items that are 100% the same.

It's not a random thing trust me I bought 10 $10 and got 10 badges in a row and a friend got the same thing I then bought 2 $20 and got a gift went back to buying the $10 and got a bunch more badges in a row. I had even called support on this and was more or less told that it was just a random thing and that they couldn't help me which is bull. 2 people having the same issue at the same time nope that's not no coincidence to my opinion and I've read where many Simmers have had this happen once you get the badge you are doomed to not get any other gifts.

Well it's like rolling a dice. Just because it's random doesn't mean you can't roll 10 sixes in a row or 8 ones. Of course the chance of this happening is rather low but there's still a chance it may happen.

Exactly. I think it's just rotten luck--I never got any of the bigger bundles and still got all the TSM stuff--only the very last time I got a bundle did I get the badge, and since I have everything from the bundles now (and since I've been flat broke lately) I haven't checked to confirm whether once you start getting the badge you get the Badges Curse.
The very first time I bought a simpoint bundle there was a sale going on, so I got the 1000 SP for $8 instead of 10 and STILL got the medieval chair with the sword cutout, on my very first try. Then I got the teddy bear. Then I got the bed...blah blah.... It's 100% random, I kid you not. Once I got the 1000 bundle and got NOTHING--I was PI&&ED!!! The next time I tried, I got another bed. All you need is the $10 bundle--Scout's Honor. I finally got the mirror LAST, and then got the badge.

Sure there is always a chance when rolling dice to roll 8 or 10 or even 12 sixes
But the more people that have the same problem the smaller the % becomes, but if you look at it the other way.
The more people that have the same problem the larger the chance becomes that it is Not random.
Its like the glass is half full or half empty, so as long as a SimGuru or any other ea person that is from the SP payment department doesnt give a answer
the longer people would have a problem with it.
But dont you agree that (Hypothetically Speaking) if ea or sombody from that department would say your right we rather have people buying 2 or 4k SP so the number of items you get from 1k SP is limited, it would be no problem for people that buy SP becouse they know that they can get a x amount items from 1k SP.
And if they want to collect all the diffrent items then they know we need to pay for 2k or 4k Sp, and people that dont care would still buy simpoints.
I myself could live with that becouse i know that i need to pay more to collect all.
And then i would probebly buy 2k SP and if the items of that set wouldf be gone or limited then i would switch to 4k.

Well how many people out of all the people that buy simpoints experience this?
The people of cs can't help you since it's random. Some people posted that they were lucky enough to get all the items fairly easy and they didn't buy just high simpoints bundle.
Even if it was rigged why would they tell cs?
