There are some bugs with WA that make Overwatch and Errortrap necessary.

1. Occasionally your sim will come home "married" and with children to a sim in one of the foreign countries.
2. There is a bug where sometimes a sim is a tourist in your town and also in one of the foreign countries. It can crash the game.
3. Things in your inventory can become corrupt when traveling.

I was thinking about getting it too. It sounds really fun to be able to travel, meet new Sims all over the world, and get new skills like photography and nectar making. I was recently talking with my friend about getting it, because if you have Generations it might be fun to throw a big wedding party with the arch and everything, and then leave right after to go on a honeymoon. Any reasons why I should not get it?

DON'T DO IT!
Honestly, the worlds are fun and everything, but there are wayy too many errors and glitches that come with it. And not a single technician at the Sims 3 headquarters has considered trying to fix them. It's not worth it when there is a 90% chance your game will become unplayable. But if you want to chance it, go ahead.

Have you looked at the list of glitches with WA? Your sims could end up arriving at the destination world with sims missing or worse, with no sims at all and a blank UI. Occasionally, even the UI will disappear and you'll have to restart the whole game because there is nothing you can do about it. Sometimes adventures won't load right and you could get stuck or important objects vital for the adventure won't be given to you. There is one adventure in Egypt involving Mummitomium, which is a rare rock. I wasn't even surprised to find that after a week and 2 returns to Egypt that the spawner was corrupted. Your sims can somehow travel fine but return home with sims missing, with clones of your sims popping up around town, with their inventory gone, or not returning at all. The list goes on and on. If I could do it again, I would never have bought this game. I can't even play it anymore.

I'm sorry for all your problems with the game Goddess.

Yes, there are glitches that can happen with every ep. Fortunately the major problems that came when WA was first released were fixed, after much screaming and teeth gnashing. You have to make sure all your drivers are up to date and that your game can handle it...but then again that's true with all eps.

Dreamie209 wrote:Similar to you, I just got WA as my latest expansion pack. After getting Late Night,Pets,Generations and Ambitions (in that order lol)I was kind of thinking of my sims actually going to a vacation like I had with the Sims 2: Bon Voyage. I'm pretty glad I got the expansion pack because my sims stories are alot more juicier

Lol, I got Generations, Pets, Ambitions, Latenight, and Showtime. In that order XD

Thanks for the sig computertech82!

I recommend WA, and my Sims do too. Love the travel and adventures away from all the regular towns/worlds. Each country has so much more to offer than just the tombs. If you haven't already, you may want to do an image search on Sims France, China and Egypt...the pics are stunning.

One of my fave eps, LOVE it loads.

But you have to install Twallan's Error Trap, Traveller and Overwatch mods to prevent your game from suffering from game-breaking bugs.

Without the mods I had encountered this bizarre bug wherein each time my sim walked across a ghost, my sim would turn invisible and no amount of resetsim would restore my sim's visibility! I strongly suspected WA being the cause of this bug.

Still, I've got WA back on my pc and have Twallan's mods to keep everything running smoothly.

It's my favourite EP. There's quite a lot of content in there too. Three new 'Vacation' worlds, tonnes of keys and quite a lot of objects. Not to mention all of the work gone into making all of the tombs.

Is it possible to use any of the landmarks or buildings from the other countries in edit town mode? For example; could I put the eifel tower in Bridgeport if I wanted to?
