Oh...well...I guess I can buy them some stuff like a registry and kind of base it on the home price of their best friends....like do one or two cachings...or more....depending upon who they're closest with...IN THE MEANTIME...until there's a fix .

I'm really not finding as many glitches SO FAR in this EP to be as bad as say...Late Night....even though much of those remain unfixed for those of us that don't run mods...(but I'm tempted).

Hi tallcoolone ,I don't run mods either.

Also having the issue with the wedding gifts not getting them and only since showtime.

Just have to put up with it till fixed.

I mentioned this problem on Twallan's website and he asked me to install Error Trap and send the error file that happened after trying to retrieve mail from the mailbox. After looking at the error file, he said that the wedding gift had been sent from someone who was no longer in the town and was causing an error. He told me to install Debug Enabler and the View Inventory on the mailbox. I did so and was able to see all the items stacking up in the mailbox which was stuck due to a wedding present. I moved all things to my Sim's inventory and deleted the wedding present (which showed as a present box with the tag Omni Plant but didn't seem to be able to be opened.)

Hope this helps others because it was marvelous to have this little nagging thing fixed!

I've been able to get cut gems in the mail (also IFs have come in the mail) but wedding gifts have been missing since either Showtime or one of the "patches"....and I use that term loosely since the patches have seemed to create more issues than it fixed.

my relation shop status is gone - so even when a sim has been married and faithful forever they dont get the moodlet

i used to like seeing their reputations change

No it's a showtime issue. Worked fine till Showtime was installed like the OP said. I like how people are quick to think they know the problem when they dont.

It is glitched on mine too as I expected, I don't usually get anything special and I don't get missed for the normal glitches either .

I did check out the behavior and you can click on the mail box after you've gotten the box (of nothing) in the mail the morning following your sim's wedding.

To work around the glitch, you could.........

Write the thank you notes and in the envelope tab in the messages it does say who sent gifts, it doesn't specify what they sent or spent. Based on your friend's perceived finances, (cheat box) and caching a gift of cash and purchase your own gifts, just as if you had a registry and got exactly what you wanted for your wedding.

i tried this.. it does work .. i still dont receive anything nor do I see anything stacking up in the mail box inventory.

sigh my sims did not get their gifts either and i got all recent updates for showtime and everything theres a lotta other buggy stuff that i really need to start writing down, but um yeah i really wish something would be done about bugs and stuff before another ep or sp comes out....sigh

This happened to me the other night. Got married, went to the mailbox no gifts but could still write Thank you notes. Sigh.

I think it is an update problem. I haven't installed showtime (hasn't come in the mail) yet and I'm not receiving wedding gifts either! It gives me the option to check mail and then right thank you notes. It's been doing this since I installed the last update.

I just experienced this yesterday. Only received an option to write thank you notes but did not receive any gifts. This has only started happening since I had installed Showtime

It's happening to me too
So I clicked on the mail box and are two options available: take correspondence (which should be the the wedding gift) and pay bills. I took the correspondence and looked in my inventary but they were the bills! After that when I clicked in the mail box again the option to write thank you notes are there.
so I thanked for the bills? and an message pops up saying that he will appreciate that your gift was well received. What gift?!!
I have all expansions and mini packs installed.

Have they figured out a fix for this yet? I am still missing mine
