Okay, it happened again and only with origin this time! I had to change my password again. What in the world is going on? My password is really long and has characters, so I don't know why this keeps happening. My privacy settings are set really high so...I don't know

It could just be a keylogger. We had one on ours a while back and they hacked into my husband's WoW account. Only after we reported it to Blizzard did we finally run a spyware scan and found it.

What's a keylogger?
You should download the free version of this program and do a full scan to see if you have any.

This is a great program to use in case of emergencies, like this and if you don't already have one, you should try to get an antivirus that gives you live protection, like MSE for an example.

Yes I have switched from AVG to Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). Seems to be less troublesome and it's free. I usually don't run an antivirus on my gaming rig but lately I've been getting hit from all kinds of places. I got a virus from a site while I was looking for a way to remove a virus.

Interesting thing happened, I did a full comprehensive scan of my computer using Norton and I discovered that eadownload manager was listed as a high risk trojan. I've been using origin and removed ea download manager back in Jan, when I started playing again. So I made sure norton removed it and I noticed some other high risk trojans, which are now removed. So far I've had no more problems with my password, which is good news. Just thought I would share this little tidbit of info. I'm also going to give Microsoft security essentials a try and hopefully it doesn't conflict with Norton.

I've never had my account hacked, so I can't help you, but I really hope that they didn't hack your account.

Well if my account was indeed hacked, then this will be a first time for me. I really hope it never happens to you.

Update your virus scan and run a thorough scan.
Download and run Adaware
Download and run the Malicious Software Removal Tool from Microsoft
Download and run Spybot Search and Destroy
Make sure you understand what makes a strong password
Change the password to your EMAIL account and then change the password here.

I very much appreciate your advice, thank you for responding Anyways, I did all that 2 nights ago and so far everythings been good. So, hopefully I've got a handle on the situation and it doesn't happen again!

It might be EA Download manager. I've never had any security issues, but EA DM was messing up the Sims and doing all sorts of crazy things so i uninstalled it and my laptop has run smoothly ever since.
I think norton is good for security. I've never had any problems, and a big plus is that it does a scan everytime i go on Facebook (and you know how many dodgy things are on that!)
and thankyou for the heads up about the hijacking i had no clue!
