DD as far as i know the FOY gets sims to the beginning of their current age stage and does not age them to the previous one.
I'm a bit confused though on what is broken when both FOY and Book of spells are installed. After my latest reinstal FOY works perfectly , but book of spells does not have any effects showing. It still seems to work though.

Hi All,

No pics because I've been running down the sources of lag in my redone Hidden Springs. One thing I found is that I had to remove the fence around the Rook Park I dl'd to replace the central park area. There wasn't enough room for the sims to walk around the lights and road signs placed by EA on the sidewalk around that area. If anyone else uses this ST venue, remove the fence. Well, you can actually remove just the sections near the lights and signs but I thought it looked rather stupid with just odd pieces of fence.

I also found the Unicorn spawned and stuck in the water of that hilltop fishing spot. I've changed Hidden Gardens from a small park to fishing spot and removed some trees from the hilltop lot to see if leaving a little more room may prevent the water spawn. I haven't had the Unicorn back since doing that but if it ends up in the water again, I'm going to change the lot to small park from fishing spot and hope that solves the problem.

I wanted to mention because I know JM has also been playing in HS. I'm enjoying playing my now updated version. I would love to update LL but find looking at it just ends up overwhelming me, LOL.

Welcome back, Gem. The only problem I've had with FOY and spellbook installed is that the animations will only show on one or the other but both objects work. My preference is to have the animations on the fountain. I still hear the audio from the spellbook and that's fine with me. The fountain, though, looks so much better, imho, when the animations are there. You are another confirmation that the FOY just goes back to beginning of current age and I accept that but I still think it should revert them to ya's. Do you know many elders who would wish for youth that want to stay looking as they do, rather than young again, LOL?

If you've got the new tablet from the store, you'll need to turn cleanup skill modifiers in Overwatch to false or the table won't function correctly. This will probably hold true with V59, too, because the revision notes don't indicate any changes to skill coding from V59 through V61.

Back to HS for me and my wait for another Unicorn appearance. Fingers crossed that I've solved that issue and the town will remain lag free, as it seems to be now.

How fun; my hubby has no interest in playing this or any other computer game. My granddaughter does tho. I showed her what your were doing with the goth furnishings and she was entranced. She is into all things goth and when I showed her the Goth compilation she was so excited. I had to buy it. I think it is pretty neat too.
We are going to see "Dark Shadows" with Johnny Depp today. for Mother's Day and go out for a nice lunch.

I'm the mama of furbabies of the feline variety, does that count? Rukaya I hope you and all the mothers, as well as everyone else, had a lovely day. I drove 3 hours yesterday to visit my parents and to see my mother, and then drove 3 hours back today. Oy, I'm tired! But I'm not complaining really, because I am very lucky to still have both my parents with me.

Needless to say, I did not get to play this weekend. I would love to help test Rflong's little world but if I don't work on that lot after work this week I might not get it finished by the deadline! I've got to at least download it and look around. Love the pics!

I had a great Mother's Day and hope others did as well. I hope you enjoyed Dark Shadows, Rukaya. My oldes son took us to see The Avengers. I laughed that the guys chose the movie my son's DW and I were to see. We weren't given options but it turned out to be a really good movie, one of the better ones I've seen this year.

Going to test Rflong's world for a bit more before calling it a night. Tangie, you're right, you do need to concentrate on your house so you don't miss the deadline. Can't blame you for having to at least take a peek at Once Upon an Isle because I had to have a look at it myself.

The celebrations , including fireworks , car honking, yelling and singing started as soon as the match ended.. I think all Piraeus stayed awake tonight dancing , singing and celebrating.

Tangie I definitely count the kitties. Now that my children are grown and on their own, 4 of them with families of their own, my kitties are my babies, actually I should say they are the babies of my hubby and me. They are our precious furry babies and we love them dearly. So Happy Mother's Day. How wonderful you do still have both of your parents and that you were able to spend the day with them.
We enjoyed "Dark Shadows" very much. It was very funny and kooky, just what you would expect from a joint project from Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. We did tell my daughter that there parts of it that were a bit too much for our 12 year old granddaughter who wanted to see it and was trying to talk her mom into taking her. She asked if we would play "the bad guys" and we said sure not a problem. Hayati had no problem taking the advice from grandma and grandpa. The weekend was very busy and very enjoyable. I hope to be able to play the sims while watering the yard today. I definitely want to check out Rflong's little Island, the pictures were lovely.

I showed Hayati what DM was doing with the Goth Mansion and she loved it, so I told her I would save that mansion to my library so she could do what she wanted to it with all the stuff from the Goth compilation I bought for her. She is playing HS and wants to have some vampires in it and since grandma has a bunch in her library she will be off and running. Summer vacation will be here soon and I have a feeling I will not be seeing much of my compter. I suspect, I will be wanting redo the g. mansion too. I didn't realize it was so big.

Anyways, not sure if you guys know about this, but does anyone know if transfigurification will work on the Showtime Lightning Bugs? I just discovered that the transfigurification works on Spirits from the Ghost Hunter profession in Ambitions and can create ghosts, but I'm not sure what else it works on.

Do you guys know anything that the transfigurification cases can create aside from using the typical collection items?


Oh, and the transfigurifications gave me a GREAT idea! There is probably a 95% possibility that it won't work... 3% it will work... and 2% it will just do something in between...

My idea is to use one of the transfigurification displays to create ghosts and put them into worlds that we upload!

I don't know... I just want to be able to put ghosts in our worlds! The EA staff does it in the Store Worlds! How come we are unable to do it?

Thought I would drop by your new thread - as i know some of you are testing Rflongs world and wanted to know if you that are could check out the hot tub at the Ice cream sandwich bar and see if your sims get an option to get in it. I posted on her thread, but in case any missed it, I figured I'd find you guys here.

Bun I know the answer to why EA can add ghosts and we can't is because they do it in the programming. EA programs all of their sims into the game - they don't "install" them or port them in - they are written into the actual world programming. It is also why deleting any EA sims is death to your world in the not so distant future because their files will shatter - not delete and the game will still keep issuing them commands that they are programmed for - so if they are not physically there, it creates a lot of problems. The game only changes the EA sims of programming commands when those change life stages. Ghost programming can only be stopped by sending the ghost to the Netherworld as this is how the game is programmed to handle sims that come with EA back stories. There is really no safe way to add these "creatures" to the game via CAW and expect the world will hold up - the only exception is via a lot you add after the world is installed in a game or via a save file, but not in CAW. Hope that helps even though it does not help you acheive what you'd like to do, it is what I was told happens from a programmer/dev that has looked at the programming. The game has the same problem with any of the creature type sims that are not pets or living sims.

Thanks, Bun, for letting us know they issued a patch for the FOY. I hadn't heard about that yet! I have no idea about the transfiguration - haven't really used that thing since the game stranded my legacy family sims in France and they were never able to return home after that. If you have a Twitter account, why don't you ask one of the gurus is there is a way to add ghosts to a custom world? If they don't know, ask them to find out.

DM I can't believe I forgot to comment about your DW taking over your Sims game. That's so funny. Hope she's enjoying it and you're enjoying her enjoyment.

I understand that they put it in their programming. I didn't know anything else, though. Thanks for the info! Luckily, I wasn't planning on deleting the coding of EA Sims anytime soon! But what I still don't understand is why haven't WE found a way to do that yet?

I've been playing and checking out Once/Isle all evening and I love it. I'll post an update in your thread, but I wanted to let DD know that when I was playing last week, I never saw any of the visual effects from the tablet so I kept meaning to take out OW and see what would happen. I never did, though. Funny thing is that while playing Once/Isle my sim was autonomously learning logic and fishing while reading recipe books at the same time, and I saw the visual effects. So I'm wondering if it's a bug that causes the effects to not show up sometimes and not twallan's mod at all.

Just checked to make sure - it's OW version 61 that I downloaded on May 9th.

And now for a couple of pics of Rflongs Once/Isle ice cream sandwich club. A good time was had by all.

Grabbed the rocks and glad to have them. Don't mind at all they were shared with all simmers. Now, if they would only share those BB stairs that I didn't get after paying more money for BB because I got it the day of release.

Tangie, the animations could be seen on the tablet when a sim first started to use it, it was that they couldn't then proceed to do anything else without the tabcast ceasing with the cleanup skill modifier set to true in Overwatch. No need to remove the mod, just try changing that setting to false. Actually, version 62 has been released and I'm getting ready to put it in and play. I'll leave the cleanup skill modifier at true to see if the tablet works correctly. It doesn't look by the revision notes that anything was done with that particular bit of coding. It's easy to change it to false, if there is still a problem.

I'm going back to my HS game for just a bit to see if the patch for store content really did fix animations for spell book and fountain. I've got both items on the Hidden Gardens lot so will just delete and replace them to see how they work now.
