Ah but a survey doens't mean it will happen, and i'm really not sure what they could add as we already have a whole EP focusing on travel and going away. Looks interesting though, but I still doubt they'll make it.

This is a new survey. So EA is thinking about how to make Vacation expansion.

World Adventures is more adventure expansion than Vacation.
It seems that EA wants to make the right Vacation expansion.

OMG, one of those surveys said they are considering making amusement park rides for the sims! WOOHOO! My dreams of Sims+Roller Coaster Tycoon... will probably never come true. Haha

In a survey for a potential expansion pack Mermaids... Mersims lol were a creature. In the "Island Time" EP survey from what I read it will most likely come with an Island themed world that your sims will live on (not be visiting on vacation) and NPC tourist will visit the island. There is a "Vacation" EP survey (even though they already have World Adventures) but it is not the same as the "Island Time" survey. They are two different surveys they have two different summary descriptions.

I can see how hard it would be to incorporate Mermaids into the sims 3, but, that's if they want to incorporate an ocean mermaids. I would be satisfied with pond, lake, and waterfall living mermaids. Maybe some NPC mermaids could live and appear and be seen in the ocean and on the beach. But once they are playable they can live in ponds, lakes, waterfalls, and a new underwater or water home or cave that you can create. And for getting around maybe the Mermaids could be able to teleport from one body of water to another. And maybe if they want to be human forever they can get a potion *or make a bet with a sea witch to find love in a certain amount of time or turn back and give up something to her LOL*. Or if they want to be a human temporarily for like 24 hours they can get a potion or wish on something magical and a warning could appear to tell them their time is almost up Better Get to Some WATER! and if they don't listen or don't make it they will have to FLOP back to water LOL that would be funny their walk command on land would say flop LOL I wold LOVE to see that! Haha I would also like to see Siren songs lol and just normal harmless singing cause that's just what mermaids do. Back to the ocean maybe the mermaids could swim in the ocean too but just as a normal sim would. And maybe they could explore the ocean or visit Atlantis or something as a Rabbithole which would make the ocean a Rabbit Hole LOL. What do you guys think?! Sorry for being so Long...

I will gladly go along with mermaids as long as there are sea monsters that eat your stinkin mersim as soon as they become one. I wasn't originally against the idea but the non stop people asking for it has totally irritated me. Oh and if Maxis ever decides to do mersims in an expansion for Sims 3, I almost feel like going to the forums for that expansion and requesting and or griping every 5 days about the lack of some completely unrelated creature that I want to see in the game.

What i would like instead is if sims could swim at the beaches they have and be attacked by a shark and make back alive with no serious injuries though (but maybe a moodlet saying they are sore and tired) or they won't make it and they drown by the shark. The shark of course would be like the chances of a meteor hitting a sim. Also when the sim is drowning and won't make it it will tell you of course what has happened if they did or did not and you can see your sim going crazy in the water like they drown in the pools.

Mermaids should be a lifestate and there should be an interation to swim in ponds and oceans, also to turn sims into mermaids.

Why not have a creature who primarily lives in the water (mermaids), we are going to have a creature who flys (fairy), we have (or going to have) creatures who live on land (humans, zombies, vampires, werewolves, witches/warlocks, alchemists, genies, fortune tellers)

The question I now ask is "Why we CANNOT have mermaids?"

The views that we shouldn't have them (mermaids) is totally biased and does NOT represent the views of pro-mermaid lovers (or others)...

Plus if many people do not want mermaids, they can simply CHOOSE to not buy that expansion pack or use the population control feature[found in Supernatural]......(but most likely they will buy the mermaids because most trollers are hypocrites)

P.S. Aliens also should have the right to come back to the sims
