All I get showing up is the Regency Arcade set (under the Dining Room category lol) and some of the freebie sets, spread out across the other categories (except bathroom, which has nothing in it).

Ah...I think I just realised what has happened. Only the sets I installed as 'sets' are showing up. No partial sets are showing up at all, apart from where I have installed something that only comes as a set and then uninstalled a couple of unwanted individual items afterwards.

I guess, since about 98% of my downloads are installed individually, this feature will be of no use to me. Proper collection folders (with nice icons, please!)would be much more ideal.

EA: The Patch notes are misleading and should be re-written--it said we were geting Collections, which is the only reason I was thinking: Cool update; everyone's been begging for collections from EA! But why create such a convoluted new system? This newfangolled 'feature thingy' is all but useless for those who don't buy in bulk, and piecemeal their Store CC from DDs and random gifting. And now there's a bug in it, too? Why didn't you just slip the proper Collection package files to us the old fashioned way, the same way you slipped all of those Featured Items thumbnails into our game folder? I mean--there's a Collection folder right there...

Then they don't have to worry so much about organizing them into categories. Maybe the categories could be sub-options, like age and clothing type.

Hmmmm....another thing.

For some reason it seems to want to include items that the store item was cloned from.

Take a look at the Atomic Age registration set for Pets. It includes the equivalent items from the EP. :/

Sorry another thing I've just noticed which is really really annoying. When I click on "organise collection" it lists all of the sets....before all of my collections.

Why? They don't appear in the collections list so why do they appear here?

Especially since they're in front of my collections.....I have to scroll for an age just to try and organise my own stuff.

Sorry store team I really know you mean well but this is just another annoying addition that doesn't really work properly. Is there an option to remove this completely? If so, how?

Edit: also included among the collections are clothing-only collections. There's no reason for them to be there.

Agree on both points about organising collections and the store only collections. I made the Once Upon a Time colelction file yesterday and it took me ages to put it in correct alphabetical order cos of all the store ones!

It would be nice if you could have a larger library icons option for each item too (over and above clicking on the item) . If you play in high resolution. The items are so tiny it's really difficult to see what they are. It takes forever sometimes to find a specific item. Particularly decor items.

I also agree with a previous poster that I'm being shown to buy too many items that I already own.

X-tra quote, for me are this icons inutilizzable - they are showing only when I want organize my collections, but when I'm creating a collections, I can see only default icons. Fortunatelly, I have only few sets installed in Sims3.Pack form, but there is no reason - show this inutilizzable icons in front of own players collections.
It'should be better make us able to make and use in game ours own icons for collections, as we can do this for TS2. It's only my opinion.

I thought it looked really cool when I saw a screen shot after the patch, but it wasn't what I thought. I thought it was putting my purchased store sets into the Collections tab with the store photo.

It's a neat idea if you shop in game or if you don't have a lot of store items already. I own most of the sets and I don't shop in game because it's crashed my game the few times I've tried so...

I have to agree with the simmer who said that each set we buy such as the India set of Cambodia should come automatically with a collection folder icon. It should just be apart of the purchase.

I also sort of think that their is too many items in the statues and misc decorations tabs. the icons are small and can be time consuming to find some items.

1. I would respectfully suggest that statues be what one would expect statues to be and not random household items.
2. Misc decor should have the furniture pulled out of it for starters and placed in another tab. For example the bar items (the big cabinet and the ceiling mounted items) could go with the bars or you could place them with the wall-mounted cabinetry.
3. I would place sofa tables with coffee & ends as its own tabs
4. I would place all china cabinets and hutches in the storage section with its icon because that is what they are typically used for irl
5. Or instead of #2,3& 4 I would just make a tab for Decorative Furniture and place the above mention in it.

My game just crashes to the desktop even if I still have 'shop mode' on when starting a fresh game folder. I have to first disable it in 'options.ini' before the game will load.
I don't think it's right that we need to go into game files and change things to get the game running.

Also, I realise there's no 'shop' category in buy mode, but why is the Pet Shop shown as a 'nursery' set? (Having visions of toddlers with flea collars... LOL!)
