That's a good question! I would LOVE to have some of my sims get married in the winter snow! It would be gorgeous *_*
But I wouldn't want them getting married in puffy vests and other snow gear...

Like on friends with Phoebe? That would be awesome

They change into their formal wear for weddings, don't they? Maybe that'll override the outwear change?

Hmm... Hopefully the SimGurus have thought all of this out

Custom creators can tag clothing as outerwear. What they did in Sims 2 is clone the wedding outfits and tag them as outerwear. I'm not sure how you do it in Sims 3,but it could probably be done with a mod. If you just make them change back to formal then they may freeze to death.

They will automatically change into outerwear and they will also change into their costumes on Spooky Day.

Hmm, fair point. That would make an interesting wedding. "The bride and groom froze to death due to inappropriate wedding outfits."

When I wrote that, it made me giggle because I got a mental picture of the bride and groom getting their picture taken with blue faces.

And then keeling over when they freeze
It'd make for some interesting wedding photos

I just realized that in the demo's they didn't change before they went our, well except the guy that was in his pajamas but the had to change. Maybe we just dress them like the weather because none of them switched to outerwear like in sims 2 before going out.

Honestly it hurts my brain to even think how it could work. Since the thermometer will be in though I'm pretty sure they'd automatically change into there outerwear.
I'm really interested to see how it'll all look in CAS since I didn't have the sims 2 seasons.
But as for weddings...I hope they don't freeze to death in their formal attire if you have it in the winter!
Maybe a spring wedding on Love Day?

I was curious about this too! There are specific outfits that I have purchased from the store for example, that I would love to be able to wear in outwear, because it just seems to suit with the long sleeves and scarves and such. I hope that you will be able to choose which content to organize into each category to some extent; but if not, I will just settle for my sims looking snug in their store clothes indoors only.
I've also heard that Seasons brings a CAS update that will really organize things. I'm glad too! All of those clothes/hair were REALLY starting to lag up my game!
Perhaps you will not only be able to open the sections from expansions/stuff/store at will, but you may also be able to drag-and-drop between outwear as well?
That's what I am hoping anyway, but it doesn't seem likely.

Oh well. Still love Seasons!!!

I'm fairly sure they're updating Store, Base game and EP clothes to make suitable clothes Outerwear

Yeah, it is getting very confusing, we really need it to be cleared up for us! I think maybe they'll just automatically change into outerwear when it's winter, otherwise, we will have to do it manually (maybe by planning multiple outerwear outfits?).
