Hey, I was just looking at the new "SF Magazine", not sure if you know about it. You can find it on the forums. Well, anyway, it gave me an idea I wanted to pass to you. You have great skyscraper buildings but no "high end lofts" Sure would be nice to have just one loft in downtown, to REALLY take advantage of the skyscraper views I'd get some good use out of my High End Loft stuffpack decorating it

Sunirose wrote:I guess I need to clarify something in my former post. When I asked if you would consider a "greener version" I wasn't asking that you would change your current world to please my tastes and forget everyone else. What i was specifically asking was if you might consider offering a second version of this world but with greener terrain, basically that would mean offering two different worlds with two different terrain textures. So, since asking a simple request seems to be a huge offense to some people, feel free to disregard my posts.
Anyway, thanks again for your world, it's a masterpiece!
As pretty as i'm sure Red County would look with rolling green hills and lush forests of redwood trees, it just wouldn't fit the SoCal atmosphere i'm aiming for. It is an excellent idea though, to make two versions, but the time used to make the green terrain could better be spent making improvements to the current design
Douglas111 wrote:THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WORLDS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!! Quick question! Will there be plenty of flat land so we can add lots because with the Ambitions we can add lots like in Sims 2, And also do we need the custom content!? Oh! And this is one of the only worlds I have seen that uses city stuff and I love City things, Also will this be on the Exchange? Also I have seen 21 Worlds and Yours and Minimelo649's LA town. But! Yours is so good. One little request after this maybe you could do a Dubai World?
EDIT: And can you make a link to the Custom Content download?
No CC is required to use this world, however I do recommend downloading the invisible light I have been kind enough to link in the OP.
KizzyLove wrote:That looks amazing! I would upload it, when it comes out, but the lots aren't furnished?
If you'd like, you can play the beta right now. Download link is on the OP. The homes have bare furnishings (lights, kitchens and bathrooms) in that version, but in the final Ambitions release, all homes will be furnished with basic furnishings like beds, dressers, and living room sets.

I tried to download it, But you have to pay for it?! Could you put it on the exchange? Because I do not want to pay for it on Rapidshire, Sorry its just Bad Economic times and money is you know hard to earn these days and if were going to download it why not put it on the Exchange? Please take note of this, It would just be about 10000 percent easier

Rapidshare is a free service. Click on the Free User option on the left. I cannot upload the world to the exchange because the file is too large and otherwise the upload would 'timeout' before it can be fully uploaded. This is an issue with the exchange, so that's why the better worlds aren't found there.

Okay, scratch the idea I had about possibly adding a loft in downtown. I spent a lot of time atop some of the buildings and simply could not find one suitable place. I love what you have already, so much that I could not see an easy way to add a loft apartment anywhere near downtown that would give spectacular views of downtown. The only way it could have been done is if the high school was moved over and the downtown was made larger. WAY TOO MUCH work. That's okay. No lofts is a small sacrifice for such a great place to play in.
Oh, I just noticed the detail to the grass around the sides of the nicer homes near the school. Wow, you REALLY have paid attention to EVERY detail.
I really appreciate you sharing your work with all of us. I think we all can see how much time your putting into this.

Douglas, no you do not. You just go to the free section and then you have to wait as it counts down - about a minute - when it is done counting down it will tell you that you can download it.
He can not put a world this big on the exchange - it won't take them right now.

Freakaboutsims, The Game moves in Sims for you, I was playing on a London World and I had one Sim in it then in a hour it was a full town, and I did not even make those Sims, So, You will never have to worry about lack of Sims on New Worlds.
OH and I downloaded it and its so cool! I furnished all the homes, And the shops and here is a easy way, Most of the houses are the same so furnish one of each then delete the rest and just copy the houses you furnished Also if you need celebs. Real quick type in testingCheatsEnabled true then click set career and you can make them anything, If you need money just type in Motherlode on the cheat screen. It makes it easy if you want to add lots of families.

The download link is on the first page of this thread.
Coasterboi, just FYI, a few small issues that I assume you might want to know about. I also had an issue with my sims running behind the buildings in the suburb shopping area. Boy, that place was hoppin'. I don't see that many sims congregating in the downtown area; usually there's only one or two even at the library. Maybe I should hang around the rabbit holes down there again to see any sims hang out there, too now. But that's a tangent, sorry. My sim was at the library in the suburbs and I instructed her to go to the park next door. Instead of exiting out the doors on the park side, she ran out the front, went around back and over to the park. A couple of times two different sims ran right through the walls of the building, but that might be because I'd been playing for a few hours and the game started going a little wonky.
Second thing is that the trash can at 380 Buena Park Drive is in the upper right furthermost square of the lot. When in play mode, the thing is invisible. My sim walked up to it and lifted the lid (I could actually see the lid when she did) but it disappeared when she placed it back down. In buy or build mode the trash can is visible but I was unable to grab it to move it closer to the lot. I don't know if you can do any thing with it or not. It's functional at least, it just looks strange since it's invisible. Of course for all I know, everyone else can see it and it's only invisible in my game. Wouldn't surprise me if so!

WAIT! Its invisible in mine to lol,
I have the same issues.
Oh and here is something I did, in the downtown area at the mall I turned some of those shops into clubs and I made a couple of movie studios that I saw from Minimelo649's LA world, And also a question with your Ambitions Update will EVERY house be furnished? Because I did a bad job at furnishing, I put some cheap stuff in the mansions and expensive stuff in the trailers lol im not good at furniture.
