I think, and I think others do too, that SETRA is a gift from heaven! It totally is a piece of art!

You might not have all the expansions needed. Check on the front page for the required ones.

This world is really amazing! There's just one problem though, my game gets a huge lag when I'm playing it that's negatively effecting my enjoyment of the game. Does anyone know of any way to improve performance?

I'm getting bad micro studdering in this world. My computer should run this world with ease. I have tried nraas controller with no avail.
I7 920 at 3.8 ghz
6gb of ram
gtx 580.
All watercooled and overclocked.

Hi,
I've been playing Setra for a few days now, and I really love it. I have all the EPs and most of the SPs, so I didn't have any problem downloading Setra. I have had a little lag now and then, but as I had been having so many problems with Bridgeport, which had been my favorite world, I really can't complain. I am enjoying exploring Setra. It is amazing and has so much to offer!
I only play for about an hour at a time, save the game, always using 'save as' with a new name, exit out, delete the cache and travel db... I have many of Nraas extras, which has helped my game performance, and general enjoyment of the game so much. I am hoping I don't end up running into the same problem I had with Bridgeport, that after a while the town gets too full (or something) and then I start getting Error 12 all the time, and the town ends up becoming unplayable.
I used Nraas Traveler to move (change hometown) one of my families to Setra. This is a great mod, because they keep all of their relations and family ties, and they can always travel back to their former hometown (Bridgeport) and visit (I think) or invite for a visit, or call for chat...
My question is this: why are the cache(s) size so much smaller than when I was playing Bridgeport (or the other EA created worlds)? I don't understand this because Setra is so much bigger than any of the EA created worlds, isn't it?

Wow... simply amazing. Pretty sure you should be making worlds for EA. And the videos. I get sick of the same load video - I miss the days from Sims 1 when they'd have a new video with each expansion! These are beautiful! I was so excited for this when I first saw your original thread; glad I had a baby in the meantime to take my mind off it lol and now I come back and it's all done! YAY!!!! Downloading right now! Thank you and major kudos for so much hard work and wonderful results, just to share your joy with the rest of us!

BTW everyone - you all should be able to use the world regardless of ep's you have or don't have - items from those ep's will just be replace by something similar from what you do have.

Wow! I just decided to play the Sims after a break, and I thought to myself, gee, it would be really cool if someone had made Cairo - and urban setting in Egypt. And lo and behold! It's a really beautiful city with distinct neighborhoods and lots of variety. You have a great eye for detail. Well done and thank you!
