Was someone looking for a Valentine's Day set? Here's two ....

Vita Sims just came out with a gorgeous Valentine's Day set, if you don't mind using custom content. It is at www.vitasims3.com. It will install just fine through the launcher, even with WA installed and patched up to 2.3 (don't know about 2.4).

I've used a couple of their other sets in my game, and they work brilliantly and perfectly, and look beautiful in the game. I haven't had a single problem with any of the items that have come from that site. I did get the vase of roses from their new Valentine's Day set and it works perfectly in my game.

The Sims Resource also has a small V-Day set, but you'd have to do a search on their site for it. I don't know whether this one is compatible with WA or not. The best thing about the TSR set is the box of chocolates.

Both of these sets are free.

Now that's the type of VDay set I wanted and I love the roses and balloons. I also love the bed and the lamp with the couples kissing. It's too bad they didn't offer this in the EA store. As much as I love it thou I won't download it because I have the latest 2.4 patch and I'm afraid it will mess up my game. However If you downloaded this set how about posting some pictures in my holiday picture thread of your sims with this set.

I haven't checked the one at the simsresource yet.

I only downloaded the vase of roses. I didn't get the whole set. I highly doubt the set will mess up your game since you have already installed the patch. However, you probably would have to take the custom set out of your game again before you downloaded any future patches, since the patches can't install properly (or something like that) when they are reading custom files that were not an original part of the game (custom content files). It is only a problem when you are downloading patches, not when the patch is already installed in your game.

So, you'd have to take the CC out of the game temporarily the next time EA comes out with another patch, and then put them back in the game again after you installed the patch. It should work just fine if you do it that way.

when you download what do you do? open or save, and if save, where do u save it? i tried saving in dowloads and then clicking on it there but it says that "windows needs to know the program that created it blah blah"

Wow, this is beautiful! And the great thing is, a lot of this stuff could just be recolored and used elsewhere!

You press "save" to save the files to your desktop. When it's on your desktop, you right-click and select "extract here" to extract to the desktop. (You need WinRAR or a similar program to be able to do this.) Then you open the folder that appears (double-click it to open it); you then double-click the individual files you see in the folder and they install themselves through the launcher.

If they won't install through the launcher, then there is a way to change the Sims3Pack file into a package file and install it directly into the game files on your computer, but it's a little complicated. You'd have to go to the Mod The Sims forum or some other Sims forum to ask about how to do this.
