I've had 2 road issues in the world I'm working on. The first one was the carpool just sitting out front with a sim in it instead of going to work. I had the Base up on a cliff, and a small section of road in front of it. I noticed that the taxi would go to the Base without a problem but would stop at the intersection instead of the stretch of road in front. I deleted this section and the carpool worked the way it should.
A second problem I had after adding in the manhole decoration. I had one stretch of road that cars and taxis wouldn't travel down, instead they would bypass it and drive around the longest way, or get out and run down the road. Deleting them, or making sure they were totally flush with the road fixed the issue.
The other lot I had trouble with was because it was too close to the road, and evidently overlapped the sidewalk by a tiny bit. I moved it back just a bit and it works now.
Seems there are a lot of potential issues with lots and roads unless your very careful about placement and road grade.
