Game Issues after Installing Patches? Post your issues here!

My game also stays on the loading screen forever. It's quite irritating, actually. This, by the way, is after installing the 1.7 patch. Please fix this soon.

I need some help I have not installed any patches or anything from the site but my game will boot the launcher but nothing else. I comes up with an error saying,
There was an error durring starup, please long in for more details...

what do I do?

Okay, I believe I already posted something about what my issues were, but I don't think anyone replied, and I want to make sure that what my issues are there are people who have noticed them, or the game actually got rid of them
My food spoils really quickly as well.
Also, I have moodlets that no longer show up. I don't mean they run out of time, I mean no matter what I do, they won't come up. Like if I use the testingcheatsenabled true, the well rested moodlet no longer shows up, if I start a new game. WHile if I load an old game, it will work unless they have a baby. So if anyone can help me, feel free to say something XD

my castle set doesnt seem to work the walls wont attach to each other so theres spaces in bewteen the castle walls

I'm sure someone already wrote this...but just in case...I can't switch between households anymore. I went to edit the town to play my sims brother and his family and when I click play the buttons disappear...and all I see is the town. I can't click on anything. It's annoying me. I don't like to stay with the same household for long.

ever since i downloaded the latest two patches all my lots have turned blue...

So after I installed the latest patch I've been having alot of problems. First it wouldn't load the neighbourhood, so I uninstalled everything, CC included and installed again. I've had to reinstall about 3 times now. The game is working better, it lets me load the neighbourhood, but now I can't access any of the households...I'm getting really irritated now.

I don't have WA yet...I won't have it till christmas...Do you think that maybe the new patch isn't compatible with the game unless WA is installed?

Well, I just downloaded game update/patch 1.7.9.blah blah blah. Any way, at first everything seemed fine. I had some issue (unkown) that made my game freeze and crash to desktop (been doing that for a while now, btw). I restarted my game and loaded my neighborhood to find this!

All of my lots, except for a few, had turned blue! Even the EA created lots (free of CC) turned blue. My children can't even go to school b/c the game says there are no schools in my hood for them to attend. I tried shutting down the game and restarting only to get the exact same thing. I should have listened to all the issues people were having and avoided updating to this patch until the issues were resolved. The only reason I installed it was to have my half walls (found @ MTS and TSR) to show up in my game. Yes, I do have mods (lesser blue nights) and can be found @ MTS. The game was working find with the mods and the update until it crashed (typical). Is anyone else having this issue

Apart from the regular glitches that I have posted in this thread on numerous occasions, I experienced another MAJOR issue the other day.

I have not seen anything posted about my particular problem on the forums. I created a seperate thread for it.

Another simmer has also now experienced the User Interface Puck glitch.

Please could a GURU look at my thread so that EA is made aware of this particular issue.

I downloaded the latest patch today & now the game wont even get close to starting. All I get is:

Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x6224dd27)

Help?

At first everything seemed to be fine after installing 1.7.11 but now i keep getting more and more problems.

It started when one of the sims couldn't use the mobile phone anymore, no one can call and she can't call anyone. Then sometimes neighbours houses would appear in grey and look weird. On the neighbourhood screen one of the houses disappears randomly or also gets grey.

If a sim visits another sims house, it takes a really long time until you see something else than three or four floors mixed up together in one single floor. (looks really weird).

As everyone else said the loading of neighbourhoods takes forever.
Everytime a sim asks another sim to move in together the game loads and never finishes. I have to shut down the computer because nothing else will work.

When a sim starts talking to another sim and stops interacting after greeting, the relationship between them starts getting worse very fast as if they were fighting the whole time. But they aren't even talking.

This is getting a little annoying...

I'm sure these problems have already been put on here, but I feel like even if I'm repeating them, at least EA will realize how common and widespread these problems are...

I haven't had any serious problems, just the normal ones.

- The first time after I played after installing patches, I got an error message when attempting to save. I don't remember which message it was, but it would occur everytime I would play that particular game and try to save (even after a "Save as"). I eventually started a new game...

- Sims born in-game don't develop relationships. Twin toddlers have no relationship with parents, only listed as "acquaintance". Same thing with each other. I had to use the "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat and manually set relationships for them.

- Food spoiling within hours in the refrigerator. Super annoying. Can't save any leftovers, everything must be thrown away after cooking.

- Glowing/fuzzy objects. Objects that are anywhere close to a light source (whether it be a light in a game, like a lamp, or the sun, through windows or outside) develop a really bright glow. It is difficult to see patterns on these objects and they look very unnatural and weird. I found I could fix the problem by entering build/buy mode and selecting the object with the hand tool and placing it in the same place. However, the object would glow again upon restarting the game. Another post said turning down the intensity of the lights works, however, sunlight cannot be turned down.

Hopefully EA will notice all of these problems soon. Its understandable if glitches/errors such as this would occur with a free game, but not a game that I had to pay big bucks for.

Collmar, I also receive this error a lot too. Generally, after I restart my game it works, however I've had to restart as many as 3 times in a row before it lets me in. Very annoying!

This is not acceptable I first posted on Nov 18, pg. 65 about my issues. Here it is 12/7, pg 120+ and still no fix.

I am so disappointed with the support for this game. Either EA doesn't care about it's loyal patrons or they have underestimated the power of consumers.

mine isn't that bad, but everytime i go into create a basement mode, my game just crashes, so everytime I want to build a basement for my 'nectar' it crashes.
