131-132--Going Greene-- Beginners Results
Only one entry in this category so our winner is SimiHendrixEXP!
I liked this renovaation it had a nice presence. My only criticism up front would be to watch your pattern usage. The interior shows a nice usage of palette colours. I was not too crazy about the kitchen flooring choice since it was a little too overzealous. I loved that you added a fireplace to the living room. The seperate bedrooms with the master bedroom area was a nice touch. Again not too crazy for the bathroom floor and wall patterns, they tended to clash for me. All in all, this was a nice renovation.
Optional Challenge: Very nice story showing the family. I especially liked that you made them green.

110-111 Wedding Venue--Beginners' Results
Only one entry for this category so our winner is Zorraa!
Your media had been deleted so I had to go with what I could tell from your lot. The curved bridge over the pond was a fantastic touch. The outdoor area looked really nice. It was very serene looking. Congrats on a nice job!

#122-123 Rose Cottage--Beginner's Results
We only had one entry for this category and our winner is Freizha.
This lot was a very nice job. The garden and trees really added some zing to the neutral stone and wood exterior. This really enhanced the appeal of the lot. Thw fireplace choice really worked with the home's interior. I personally liked the more neutral to cool color palette that you used. I would have loved to seen more clutter especially some artwork on the walls.

122 – 123 The Rose Cottage - Advanced Results
One entry for this category, so ZYisSims is our winner!
The gardens are absolutely gorgeous! A perfect English country garden. Love the stone fencing and the rock lined flower beds. Very cute house. The green roof is perfect with the timber and stone work. Great job on the chimney. Great work on the inside. It really has a cottage feel. Love the way the color scheme works from room to room. Cute nursery. Love the sophisticated pink flair in the master. Gorgeous rock and flower fountain in the courtyard! The little gnomes tucked around in the flowers are a nice touch. Great job on the walled vegetable garden and garden shed. Another fantastic build!
Suggestions – not much to add here. I wonder how functional the one tile hallway would be in game play?
Another great entry!

#133-134 Having A Mid-Life Crisis--Beginner's Results
We have two very nice lots this week but no attempts at the optional challenge.
2Troublesome-I love the raised platform in the bathroom, that is a creative idea. I really enjoyed the open living room. Don't forget the fence as a railing around the staircase to make the lot more realistic. The pool and patio area was very nice and creative. The covered sitting area was a nice touch. I would have liked to seen a little more clutter such as some pics on the wall or some flowers in the home.
Musicbooks- I really liked your pattern usage throughout the house. Really nice staircase design. It had a nice appeal. The nome was very bright and had a lot of saturated colors in my opinion. Nice usage of tile in the bathrooms to bring in emphasis. I would of liked to have seen a bit more landscaping to draw in the appeal and add a dash of color to the exterior. Also, the tiles around the pool were a bit distracting in their color.
Two very nice builds this week but we can only have one winner.

126-127--Hetty's Heir-- Intermediate Results
Only one very nice entry this week by Princess_Natasha!
Comments: Lovely build PN! I really enjoyed the floral wallpaper contrasted with the striped bed cover in the bedroom. The color palette was very homey. On that note, the yellow-green was maybe a little too harsh for this build and clashed with the green in the kitchen. I loved the sort of modern country vibe you had going on. Only other criticism from my point would maybe add some more color to the exterior siding. Nice job!

135-36--Mr. Valentino's Request-- Intermediate Results
Butterbean1
Comments – I like that you included a before and after slide show. Love the swimming pool – very chic and modern. Great accents of red in the living area. Nice picture window looking out over the pool. Sexy master bedroom Love the mirrors on either side of the bed – really expands the visual space of the bedroom.
Suggestions – Pool furniture could have been a little more modern. Build rooms smaller and fill with furniture and accents for a more lived-in look. Needed more attention to the landscaping.
Green_Girly100
Comments - Love the modern shape to your build The asymmetric blocks are a nice architectural feature. Like that you included some landscaping on the front of the home. Romantic pictures of the loving couple at the foot of your spiral stair! The interior is impeccably modern without being too stark. Like the use of the sectional sofa for a softer living room look. Nice combination of the requested red and pink color palette.
Suggestions – Good attention to landscaping on the front, but the rear could have used a little more detail. Make sure the windows are balanced on the front and rear views of the house.
jazziejazz1
Comments – Love the contrasting heart rugs in the upstairs bedroom and bath. Nice touch to include the grand piano and the built-in bar in the living area. Mr. Valentino will most certainly appreciate the choice of bed in the master bedroom!
Suggestions Exterior style is not really modern. Even on a modern build, be sure to make the landscaping shine. Build small and expand as needed.
Kiyalynn
Comments – I love the approach from the street to the house. Nice retaining wall decorated with their favorite colored flowers. Like the asymmetry to the house. Nice use of advanced techniques to achieve the two level of entry. Like the raised living space. Like your dark wood flooring with contrasting white walls. Nice creation of attached basement garage. Great terraced hot tub and pool area.
Suggestions – work on the best media presentation venue and making sure you build small enough to have the budget to included décor clutter.
Soloushen
Comments - Very modern architecture. Love the expansive picture windows. Great balcony overlooking the open living space. Nice use of the red and pink accents requested by the client. The open-glassed stairwell is fantastic. Like that you included two full bedrooms. Nice use of curved pool tool in the landscaping. Love the outdoor living areas. Lovely roof terrace area.
Suggestions – Front door is a more traditional design. Work on selecting a cohesive color scheme based on color theory.
And the Winners are...
Honorable Mention - Solushun
FIRST PLACE
Kialynn!!! Congrats on a great build that embraced all aspect of the challenge.

Results: #122-123 • Rose Cottage • Intermediate
Two lovely English cottages! The winner is:
Alicat84

Comments: You did a spectacular job creating Rose Cottage. Your color palette is soft and feminine—the rose pink seems just right! I love your CC items, too—especially the refrigerator. The architecture and layout seems very much like an English cottage. The landscaping is outstanding—a good mixture of flowers, trees, shrubs and harvestable plants. Your creation of Rose and Sylvester are spot on, too. I much enjoyed seeing them living in the house. The last picture in your slideshow is my favorite. My only criticism is really just a reminder to turn the grid off when taking your photos. There were a couple of landscape shots that showed the grid. Other than that, great job! You are the optional challenge winner, too.

Comments: I wish I knew more about computers so that I could help you solve your picture taking problem. The tiny images are just so difficult to evaluate! Nevertheless, I could tell that you put a lot of thought and effort into the cottage. And it does have a very cottagy feeling. I liked the slightly old fashioned décor items here and there. The layout seems very effective too. The green you chose for the interior walls is just the right shade to contrast nicely with a dusty rose—although if you used a rose pink, I couldn’t see it. The landscaping was quite nice, too. You might have been even more exuberant with flowers and plants, but I liked how you combined flowers—very English. Overall, a very good job. I just wish I could have seen it properly to do you full justice.

135-136 Mr. Valentino's Request - Beginner Results
Hazardousdevil69
Wow! The heart-shaped pool is fantastic. I love the landscaping. The interior design is impeccable. Love your use of the requested colors.
Suggestions – my only comment is that the house is not a true modern.
Momofmnm76
**No media provided, had to install lot
Like the use of ½ wall to delineate space. Nice bar in kitchen. Like the ½ walls in the entry area. Included all the required elements.
Suggestions – next time, build much smaller (1/3 the size or less) so you will have more money for décor.
Kdodk
**no media provided, had to install lot
Comments – Interesting shape to the house. Great landscaping in the front. Love the pool and BBQ area. Great window choice. Like the use of the modern fences to finish off ledges in the architecture. Like the use of red in the house. Nice office area. Like the use of glass-topped ½ wall in the kitchen.
Suggestions – no pink in the interior. Could have used more plants and other décor.
Mpore
Love the modern look to the exterior and the butterfly wing roof. Love that you did a “before and after” look. Backyard is lovely. Great pool and outdoor living areas. Interior is lovely. Modern, yet inviting. Good use of the requested colors. Love the layout of the kitchen and cabinet choice.
Suggestions – Needed a shot of the master bath. Tad bit of wasted space in the bedrooms, build smaller so that they don’t look empty.
Sid13
Like the shape of the house. Nice front entry. Love the landscaping around the front walk. Nice use of the curved pool tool. Like your fence-lined patio and use of terrain paint. Nice use of pink and red.
Suggestions – Mix up your furniture types to add more interest to rooms.
Vgmusicbookworm
Like the pattern at the top of the exterior walls. Nice eat-in kitchen. Like the office area. Like the pool area. Nice use of pink and red in the décor. Good choice of windows and doors for a modern. Cupid statue in the master is a nice touch. Can definitely see a change from the before to the after.
Suggestions – You don’t have to vary the floor type for every room. Add more plants, etc. for a lived-in look.
And the winners are...
2nd Place - Kdodk!
And 1st Place goes to...
mpore!
And an Honorable Mention to hazardousdevil69 - great build, just wish it had matched the theme of the challenge better. All three of you should enter in Intermediate in the future!

#137-138 Vivaldi's Four Seasons--Beginner's Results
vgmusicbooks-Nice color usage and range. Pics could have used a bit more lighting since it was hard to see details in some. More decor items such as rugs and plants would have been nice. Exterior is very nice. There was really no landscaping so the house was sort of just there.
sugarplumpixies-Very nice bedrooms especially the aqua bedroom. I would have liked to see more decor items-rugs, pics and plants. Also a railing around stairs would be nice as well. The bathrooms were nice and had a nice layout but were a bit dull in color compared to the great color usage throughout the rest of the house.
Sangstda8-Nice curb appeal and landscaping. I loved the hangout above the carport.Nice use of clutter and decor. Very Spring like feel. Maybe next time use a few more accent colors to cut down on the saturation of color. You had a very clever design asthetic. I feel you could move on to Intermediate if you wish for future challenges.
Optional challenge: Very cute and creative!
Sid13-Very tropical feel. You took a different route but still followed the guidelines. I get summer beach feel throughout. Kitchen was great. The home was well laid out. I would have liked to seen a tad more color to break up the neutrals.
Aleisha18-You had nice color choices but maybe a little too saturated. Some contrast and accent colors would have helped soften the rooms a bit. The trellis areas were a thoughtful addition. The outdoor areas were great and showed thought. Music room was included but reminded me of an afterthought, it was not really inclusive.
Tifferoo-Love the three story idea for this lot. The color scheme reflected the season but was a more muted tone. In my opinion the striped wood floors clash with the striped rugs. The girls' room was really adorable. I would like to see more clutter and decor items.
Optional challenge: Very creative. I loved the look of the twins!
GTSugar- I had to download your lot since we could not access the media for the lot or the optional challenge. Nice curb appeal but I had no driveway or walkway. The exterior sidings were a nice choice. Kitchen layout was great. I loved the raised music room idea. a little more decor would be nice. The roof needs some work. I think you were using Autoroof On and in my opinion never have it turned on. It is best to switch Autoroof to Off and create your own roof.
Optional Challenge: I am sorry but we could not access your media.
Third Place-Aleisha18
Second Place-Sid13
Winner-First Place-Sangstda8
Optional Challenge Winner-Tifferoo

Results: #137-138 • Vivaldi’s Four Seasons • Intermediate
One winter entry, one spring and two autumn—all charming in their own ways. One consideration for everyone is to be careful not to zoom out too much when taking pictures in cameraman mode. It distorts the perspective and detracts from the image. The solution: take more pictures rather than trying to get everything in one shot! The winner is:
Kulthero777

Optional challenge: http://launcherapi.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=523569 0 Also included some pictures of the family in their new home in the media link.
Comments: The architecture of Villa Italiana is charming! The use of color throughout the interior is subtle and elegant. I had no trouble identifying “autumn” as the color scheme. I love the CC items you used; it gives the house an Old World feeling. The layout seems to work well, although your overhead shots were a little small for me to tell exactly what was in each room. Your landscaping was very nice, too. I especially liked the Italian cypress trees—very appropriate! Your Vivaldi family seemed very sophisticated and European! I’d like to have seen a few more shots of them in the house.

Comments: Nice use of an autumnal color scheme! I’m glad you used burgundy in the mix, too, because it contrasts well with the orange and yellow. The architecture of the house has an Italianate feel, which would make the Vivaldis feel right at home. The layout is very good. There is a nice flow from room to room and plenty of space for the family to grow in. The landscaping is simple but effective. You might consider toning down the use of pattern. With strongly patterned wallpaper in almost every room, the house sometimes verges on visual overload. In the girls’ bedroom, for example, you might try using plain colored bedspreads with the patterned walls or vice versa. I do love the family you’ve created, all with shocking red hair! I loved seeing them enjoy their new home.

Comments: I love that you chose Winter as the color theme for the Vivaldis’ house! I think that was probably the most difficult season. The sparse use of colors other than black and white and the sparse décor as well gave the house a wintry look, although I think you could have used more color and still kept it wintry. The icy pink in the girl’s bedroom was a welcome relief! You might have also used an icy blue. But as it is, you made up for lack of color with some interesting patterns and textures. There was a nice consistency of a kind of a rococo theme throughout. I think you might have also used more landscaping, even if it wasn’t covered in snow. Small dark green shrubs and trees might have added some more interest to the exterior. You did a great job on the family. My favorite picture was of the family in the music room with Papa Vivaldi watching his daughters jam!

Comments: The house has great curb appeal! The architecture is charming, and you’ve done a great job landscaping with colorful spring flowers. The layout works well, too. I especially like the living room with its bay window—very cozy! Overall, the color scheme is very spring-like, although the colors, especially the pink, are too saturated. When used as a pop color, the pink still works well, but as carpet in the girls’ bedroom, it dominates the room. If you had used it like you used the orange in Tony’s bedroom, I think the girls’ bedroom would have seemed more in harmony. Overall, though, I think the Vivaldis would find the home very comfortable and pleasing.
