Ha! Well, Bun, if they actually did that it would have the opposite effect on me! Like -200% against buying it. Of course it depends on what else they included I suppose, but to each their own, I guess.

DD it looks like you are having fun in LL! It really does inspire creativity; that LL sharing thread was so much fun. I loved seeing what everyone came up with. Also, that's good to know about the Media tab; I had no idea that it wasn't visible, I hadn't noticed before. I'm sure there is some way to post screenshots uploaded there on the forum but I've always uploaded mine to a hosting site so I don't know how to do it using my studio. How ironic is that?

I played Saarqartoq (once again one of my cat's is laying on my notes so I think that's the correct spelling) for an hour or two today. It's a lovely world, lots of fun and very unique and pretty. I did not install the CC package so there were a few things missing - a ship, an airport, and a lighthouse - I already have the sailboat from Plav Raj installed. But I didn't miss any of those things, they don't affect game play at all. If you're still reading, Nilxis, nice work! Still, Plav Raj is my favorite so far, it's just so beautiful.

I think the house I have been building is done. Kiana's sim Emily Miller helped me test it. I moved her out before saving the sims3pack and switched to other households in my test hood. I guess she really liked the house because a few days later she moved back in all on her own.

I should have it uploaded in a day or so for those interested. Hope everyone has a good week!

As it turns out I am not sleepy yet so I got it all ready to go. Of course I will pay tomorrow morning when the alarm goes off.

Mediterranean Retreat for your weathy sims who enjoy the good life; in my studio here:
http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=5859519

Large 5 BR (with a possible 6th in an extra empty room in the basement) 4 bath home in the Mediterranean style. Three car garage, great room with dining/living area with grand piano, kitchen, family room, office, laundry, bathroom, nursery and master BR with it's own bath all on the main level. Second floor has a balcony with a dance floor, 3 bedrooms and one bath, and other entertainment activities. Basement has a TV room with video games, an exercise room, a room for making nectar, a full bath, and an empty room to use as you wish. Outdoors there is a grill, a pool and hot tub, and a patio.

Exterior front.

Exterior Rear, showing the second floor balcony.

Emily Miller enjoying a meal outdoors on the patio. BTW I did change the paving material in the uploaded version to something else because I decided I didn't like what I had used all that much. You can (kinda) see what I changed it to in the pic above.

Partial shot of the main floor.

Partial shot of the second floor.

Off the kitchen there is a small garden. I think I will get rid of the flowers and turn this area into a 'kitchen garden' when I play the lot.

Is this what you are trying to do Tangie? Post a pic that you upload from the launcher?

You need to click on the pic to make it bigger, paste the url into the comment box, then put the *img tags around it.

Example:

*img]http://llnw.thesims3.com/sims3_asset/sims3_asset/media/sh
ard000//shard000/664/300/007/00/screenshot_original.jpg"width=

*replace the asterisks with brackets*

ETA: Nice house. Wow, you weren't kidding when you said it was big, were you?

Diamondkool, I would suggest Rflong's Longview or DM's Greenfeather Hills if you are looking for a large world that will have longevity through more EP/SP releases. You don't mention which EPs you have but Rflong has a base game only version for Longview and then a version updated through Generations, I believe. Oh, you could also consider her Mesa Valley II, if you want a desert world. It also updates easily and is available updated through Pets.

Where's link to Greenfeather Hills so I can see?

But I would like to know if there are more world which matches my needs. Thank you.

Hi,

Why not both? You can have two neighborhood saves and rotate if you get bored with one family.

Tangie, love the new house. I dl'd and gave it a rec. Emily looked quite happy there. I don't blame her. My granddaughter and I will be testing Alexspoom13's new world today.
Also will see if I can find the time to upload a few more sim's today. For sure when I upload my 2 new YA vampire kids I am going to fill their inventory with plasma fruit. I can't believe what EA has done to the poor creatures, a little thirst. and poof.
I will probably put the siblings in CAS and restore their relationships and give them some money before I upload them. I have some skilled parents that I had drink the youth potion so they too are YAs for those who want sims to already have jobs and some Lifetime rewards. Either today or maybe tomorrow. It is hard to plan with my granddaughter here. She is also building a mansion in her sim3 world. Neither of us can figure out how to make a curved pool.. I used to to it when the EP first came out with that curved pool tool but can't seem to get it to work now.

Anyways, I came here to see if you've heard about this yet! It was just posted today on SimsVIP.
The 7th Sims 3 EP has been unoficially announced! The Sims 3: Supernatural! September 7th, 2012 is the supposed release date.
Also, apparently, they are releasing another limited addition version of an EP! I wouldn't use any money just yet, though... Let's wait and see where they take this limited edition! Perhaps even another collector's addition may come out!

Whatever's happening, I'm getting it. Making' Magic was my favorite EP from the original Sims! I hope they didn't mess this one up again!

(I sure hope they come up with a better name for that EP.)

Hi bun

Wooo - thanks for the info. That's a solid reason to start up Magic Town again

DD your pictures of LL really make that world look like a lot of fun.
The SN ep does nothing for me. I really never got into Magic town, maybe because my granddaughters were always over playing and I never got the chance.

Hi Everyone.

Gosh sorry to hear about Gem and Rflong having worlds taken down for no clearly discernible reason. How awful and how puzzling!

WR I hope all of your medical tests go well. Prayers go out to you.

Tangie--gorgeous house! Oh how I'd LOVE to have that house in real life!

DD--nice job on redoing LL!

It's been quite a brunch (skipped breakfast to walk the dog)....Cookie jumped up and nearly landed in my coffee. This was a second or two AFTER Mari had jumped up as I was reading the posts and landed in my pizza. I lifted her off and cut around the paw prints and was able to eat most of it. Not that I should--bathing suit shopping revealed to me the unpleasant surprise I need to lose a couple of pounds...or five...or ten... I have skinny arms and torso so I kind of just assumed the rest of me was in shape but nah...got a tummy I need to work off. It just shows how much I pay attention to these things, I was truly caught by surprise. I've weighed 84 pounds most of my adult life. It used to be my main worry to have something to put something INTO my bathing suits. Now I have to worry about stuff spilling out of my bathing suits. Middle age is...interesting.

Rukaya...I do hope your sleep problems aren't anything serious and that your health and your hubby's health prove to be very good at your checkup. I will file your post away for future reference...as I don't wish to be caught by surprise so often in the next phase of life. Middle age has been...um...well...another awkward transition like the teen years. Still, you couldn't pay me to be in my 20's again. Do NOT want! My 30's are what I wish I could have bronzed and preserved forever. Except for that year that I was recovering from the brown recluse spider bite on my a...my look at the time...

I'd better go see if I can set up Summer version of Ridgeview. I'm still stuck in Mac OS so I don't think I will get very far before the game locks up and crashes on me. But I just at least want to take a look and see if I can place a couple of lots to get a feel for this version of the world.

Many blessings to you all. I'm sure I'm forgetting something I wanted to say...so I will be back later.

I has cheezburgers...om nom nom.

Looks amazing

Good day to all!

I see we have another update available. I guess after I type this I'll take the leap and hope it goes okay. I sure wish all fixes were listed rather than a few followed by "other polishing". Never know what to expect. Hmmm, on second thought, maybe I won't update just yet. Twallan hasn't updated his mods and I think I've got a teen with a stuck sneaky walk for which I'll need debug enabler to fix.

Diamondkool, Greenfeather Hills began life from the Longview CAW files that Rflong so generously provided. If you download it from DM's blog, you'll see that in the Pet's version there is a change of bridges. The town is layed out differently with lots not present in Longview and different housing available. There is enough difference to warrant having both.

BTW, I have both LA-ST and Setra. I can't in good faith recommend LA-ST because there are so many problems that need to be fixed. Some of the routing problems are needed CAW fixes that the user can't make. HappySimmer3 compiled a list of needed fixes in the thread and if you don't mind taking the time to do them, for the ones that users can do, it's definitely worth taking a look at. It all depends on how much time you are willing to put into the world. I would love to see Coasterboi do a fixed version.

I haven't been into Setra since installing Showtime. I'm not sure it's going to be all that easy to update with the ST venues and I had also suddenly started having really bad lag. I think it's associated with one of the clubs but I have not really spent much time troubleshooting to see if I can determine the cause. Besides, like Rflong said, you can try both worlds. Preferences in worlds are a personal thing. What appeals to me might not to you and vice versa. I suggested the three worlds that I did because I thought they suited what you said you wanted and I know they all three run flawlessly.

Tangie and Rukaya, I am loving LL! Got the house and rec'd it, Tangie.

I'm testing Suburban Springs right now. I'll post pics here from it later. I have a question for Rflong, though, because the creator might need some help, if you know the answer. First a bit of back story. I was playing LCat's Riverview redo and started encountering sims and animals stuck on bridges. This situation got worse as the population grew, eventually causing quite a bit of lag. Last night was my first play in Suburban Springs and I encountered a dog stuck on a bridge. Rflong, do you have any idea what causes this? If so, is there anything a user can do, or, is it something that has to be fixed in CAW? I suspect CAW since users can't place or alter bridges but who knows, you might have some trick you can recommend.

Two quick pics taken in LL. What's up with so many unfounded cheating accusations?

"This will teach you to accuse me of cheating!"

"Since I stand accused of cheating while innocent, let's get this bachelorette party kicked up a notch!"

Hi and Good day.

If it's the wooden bridge than it's probably up too high. I was working on that bridge for DutchySim and why Sims couldn't walk over but could drive over- it had to be lowered until it was even with the ground.
The bridge rises off the ends of the bridge- they need to be underground- not sure how far but the bridge will look flat like it does in Twinbrook. Have them look at that Bridge in Twinbrook to see and compare.

If that's the bridge.

In this case it is the wooden bridge, Rflong. Since alex just responded to my post there and is looking at the bridge, I'll paste your reply to see if it helps fix the problem. Thank you for responding. You probably have helped him/her save some time in looking for a solution. I don't even use CAW but I'm always grateful for the insight you offer from your own experience to other creators.

In LCat's Riverview redo, I had the problem with all the bridges. In addition to the wooden one, sims and animals were getting stuck on what I think is the French bridge style, too. If it's the same cause as you saw with the wooden bridge, I guess I'm out of luck for any player solution. Darn, I want a Riverview redo so badly but lag is getting awful as sim time progresses.

Oh, and yeah, About Skyrim, I know, right? That trailer is EPIC! I think they should add Kinect commands for the vampires, and new shouts. Then release DLC about Werewolves and see what happens in the community!
