Let me tell you a bit about the world:
It is a beautiful lush tropical island with plenty of room to explore and loads of fantastic views. It's a great vacation spot, although there are many sims who live here year round. This being said, it will not have all the rabbitholes. I have included only those that I think make sense to be there.
Green = Lots open for building.
Orange = Lots claimed.
Red = Lots finished.
Black = Lots I'm building.
1 - Clinic (hospital) and Library/Gallery.
2 - A large park, not man-made.
3 - Spa
4 - Beach/Gym (includes juice bar, pool, work-out & shower facilities)
5 - Undecided...possibly a small park with swings, fire pit, and other things for simmies to do.
6 - Cabin 20x30
7 - Cabin 30x30
8 - Cabin 40x30
9 - Small beach shack.
10 - DELETED
11 & 12 - Housing areas. These will all be kind of beach themed. I'm thinking small to medium sized, and colorful. I haven't placed the lots for these yet though. xD
Here is the Residential lot map.
1: 30x20
2: 30x20 - by babybuzzing28
3: 30x20
4: 30x20 - mw1234
5: 30x20 - Shalua
6: 30x20
7: 30x20
8: 30x20
9: 20x30 Modern - babybuzzing28

11: 20x15 Modern - mw1234

The build template is ONLY to be used to build on for this world. To claim a lot to build on, post which you would like to do here, and I will mark it as claimed with your name next to it. If you're claiming a residential lot, please say so, since I was silly and started numbering the residential lots at 1. When you finish a lot, just post here with the download link, and I'll add it in game and check that lot off the list. You can upload your lot wherever you like.

This is the shopping & entertainment strip.
I want things to look very seamless in this world, and so far I think I'm doing pretty good! Hooray for terrain paints!
Diner - obviously. I had fun coloring the seating arrangements. lol!
Science Facility.
This is where the three cabins will go.
The fishing spot between the three cabins.
The top of the mountain.
Like I said, if you're interested in building, speak up so I know to upload a version you can build on. Also, please don't hesitate to leave any kind of feedback.

Whatever you want to make is fine by me. I will probably have the world up for download tomorrow afternoon, as well as a new list of all the new lots that need to be filled. In the meantime, I've searched through some house plans and found some styles that I want to emulate.
Example of a small cabin.
Larger cabin...
Houses on stilts are always fun, and would be good for the ones that will literally be on the beach.
Just some more ideas...
I think a few houses similar in style to this, each with a different bright color would be good. Kinda like my bold colored seats, tables, and umbrellas at the diner. (but not necessarily those colors)
I'm open to having a couple modern styled homes, too.
These are just some ideas to get the creative juices flowing, so use your imagination and have fun!

Well, if it's only one person who is interested in building I may just build them all myself. I guess I'll just check back tomorrow and decide then.

i want to build.
also i was wondering if i could do the custom rabbit holes for your world like a rustic cabin look for them all or a stone cabin look. the way you have it just seem like they dont belong. if you dont know what i mean i can work on one and i can show you, then you can decide then. But if not i would love to build some houses.

Thanks EQ!
Well, I got all the lots placed, and all tears are finally fixed...that I can find. So if anyone finds any large or obvious tears, please let me know. If however it's small, or will most likely not be seen, I'll probably leave it alone since I've spent a good hour playing tag with these silly tears.
Anyway, here are the residential lots.
1-8: 30x20
9: 20x30
10: 30x30
11: 20x15
12: 48x36
Keep in mind that the build template is ONLY to be used to build on for this world. So if you just want to play it, you're going to have to wait. The world is nowhere near playable. Spawners still need to be placed, routing hasn't been done, and the finer details haven't been worked on yet.
When you finish a lot, just post here with the download link, and I'll add it in game and check that lot off the list. You can upload your lot wherever you like.

Shalua,
The terrain painting is beautiful. I'd love to go there on vacation. Ahh, vacation, doesn't that sound good?

Dear Shalua,
I am interested in building a house for your world, Phoenix Cove. A cabin type of house is what I'm leaning towards to build for you but I need your permission to start working on it. My username on the Sims 3 is MW1234. Just write me back or post it in your comment/blog section and I will respond to you ASAP. Good luck with your world!
Sincerely,
MW1234

Shalua,
It looks really nice. That's a beautiful town. I might make a couple lots and submit them, to you for use in your town, but I'm too busy working on Las Montañas Rojas at the moment.
The only thing I don't like about it, so far, is the roads and the side walk. I don't think cement or stone sidewalks look nice next to dirt roads. If the sidewalks and some areas around the buildings are going to be paved, I think the roads should be paved as well, at least in those areas.

Hi, Shalua
Love the shape of the Island. If you need a builder then I can build something but you must assign me a lot. I like them all.

Are you just saying that, or did you notice it looks like a phoenix?
Rflong wrote: If you need a builder then I can build something but you must assign me a lot. I like them all.
But you're so creative, I'd hate to stifle that creativity by picking the lot for you! If I had to assign you one though, I'd probably pick 10 or 12.(of the residential area) Or 4, (on the bigger map) the beach/gym.

Thank you, and I totally understand - good luck with your world! We all know how time consuming it is! Haha!
The roads and sidewalk actually are not dirt. It is the red cobblestone, you just can't tell in most of those pictures. The only one where it's really obvious is in the Diner pic. But it's more apparent when you're in game playing.

If it's a Cabin you want to build, go right ahead! I have a 30x30 Cabin now, so I only need the 20x30 and 30x40 sized lots filled. So you have my permission!

Haha, vacation does sound good, which I why I made the world like I did! I may not be able to LIVE on a vacation Island, but my sims sure will, if it's the last thing I do!
