Hiy and welcome to my world.
London the largest city for the sims 3 with 2000 houses/buildings. London has the the capacity for over 400 sims to live within the city. With house prices costing up to 16 million in such places as mayfair and kensington. London has 5 hospitals - 6 gyms - 4 librarys - 7 theaters - 30 shops - 4 fire stations and many other services.

Architecture..
London's buildings are too diverse to be characterised by any particular architectural style. The most common buildings are 'London Townhouses' Or row houses.

Most recent images - august 2012 - below

old images below from 2010
A London Townhouse

The financial district

The financial district home to most of the cities skyscrapers and the tallest skyscraper in the city. This section of the city has no houses but holds most of the cities offices. The buildings rage from old to morden.

Cool!

But can I give some advice?

Look at your River's sides. Those blocks aren't the best fit.

Try doing this. make a road. Make it straight. Now use the "River Rail' it fits perfectly with European towns.

Hi Jay, you need to resize your pictures. Looks interesting will be impressive if you can manage to recreate that whole part of London.

Will there be The Tower of London, And Big Bin, Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, And the nice row houses? If you need help with Buckingham Palace I can build it and give you a link.

Have you ever been to London? The reason why I ask is because there are a few main buildings out of place.

You might want to re-size that lot where the Parliament Building is supposed to be. If you don't know what that is, it's where 'Big Ben', the bell in the clock tower is held. That whole space should either be 1 or 2 lots; Not 3. Reason: Big Ben is part of the Parliament Building; trust me, it's in the pictures and I've been inside that building about 2 years ago.
Photo

If you were to separate the space into 2 lots, make one the Parliament Building and the other the park.

----

The second is that those three bridges are incorrect.
The main one which you placed down there as a railroad bridge isn't exactly a railroad bridge; it's a road bridge. The one next to it however is a railroad bridge. Being that I've only been there a long time ago, I forgot which train station was the famous one. I'm sure that it is the one a little further down the river towards the left of the picture.

Both buildings boxed in the red boxes are train stations.

-----
I don't think that having everything to perfection is that important but getting major landmarks correct feels a must to me. Good Job overall.

Walden95 you have clearly underestimated the true size of westminster, It can easly take up 3 lots at the size of 64x64, And yes i have been to london. I live in london so i know a lot more about it then you,

On this pic you can see how big westminster really is

And this is half of the building

here are some of the building styles ill be using

Wait a moment.

Ok you do know more than me considering that I've spent only a little over two weeks of my life in London.

Also, I forgot something. I haven't been building too much in CAW recently and thought that you could create lot sizes bigger than 64/64 That building obviously would require something around 70/180

BTW - I like those building styles. They look pretty correct to me. My only comment against that is that the second photo to the bottom reminds me of pairs somewhat. You know, the white mason with those blue roofs. I know that there are buildings like that in London but it just seems a bit too offset to me. I would suggest some sort of white brick cornering on the edges, but maybe I like criticize too much.

The building looks ok. It defiantly does fit the style. I just suggested that it could look nicer and better fit in with the old London brickwork charm with those borders. But it's your creation you decide; besides, you know more than me.

BTW - I took out the large Parliament Building photo in my post to keep the page from breaking. You might want also want to delete that photo in your post when you quoted me above; it will bring the page back to normal size
