2.10 The Lavoir Legacy: Events Transpire

Zane is a weird child.
He’s been obsessed with the fire place in his parents room ever since the day he was born. Now that he’s started to crawl things are only getting worse.

But his mother adores him just the same.

Apart from the fire place, this is the only toy Zane will play with.

Grace: I have no idea where he got it. That thing creeps me out.

And if something is weird enough to creep Grace out, you know it’s bad news.

Barry: Aww, he’s such a sweet boy.

Lexie: Speak for yourself. That thing’s scarier than Grace ever was.

That night the whole family was invited to a party at Nestors parents’ house.

Grace introduced JoAnna to her grandson.

And Nestor caught up with his dad.

Nestor: How is he still a young adult? I’m almost an adult!

Shhh, don’t question his ways.

Grace and Nestor share a mutual dislike of elevators.

Grace: Look at those buttons, acting like they’re better than me!

Nestor: Don’t let them get to you, baby.

Barry was delighted to find out that Robin and JoAnna had invited Ace, Barrys old roommate.

Nestor: I can’t believe this, they replaced me!

What are you on about Nestor?

Nestor: My parents! They gave my old room to this… thing!

This was your bedroom in high school? No wonder Grace wouldn’t go out with you…

Nestor eventually decided his ‘replacement’ wasn’t so bad.

Nestor: Well, he is pretty cute.

The next morning Nestor got to work teaching Zane to walk.
He’s pretty good with kids, which is helpful…

As it seems there are more on the way!

Grace: Wow, we sure are popular this week.

How’s that now?

Shay just invited us to another party.

And here I was thinking we’d never see Shay again. Especially now that she’s living in a place like this!

Lexie: Why helloooo, Richie. Fancy running into you here.

Well, this is his house and all. And I really don’t think he remembers you.

Shay: Aww, I can’t believe you’re having another kid already! Speaking of… where did little Zane get off to?

It appears our little pyro child has discovered the Strikers fire place.

And he then proceeded to cry until Grace lit it for him.

Barry: …and this is Zane sitting in front of the fire place, and this is him playing with his creepy doll, and this is him sitting at the fire place with his doll, and this is…

Barry’s pictures of Zane were making Shay want a child of her own.

So her and Sebastian got to work making one.

Maybe they should have waited for their parents to leave first…

Grace, Nestor… what are you doing?

Nestor: Watching Kids TV is good for the baby.

But Zane is upstairs in his cot…

Grace: He means the unborn baby.

I should stop talking to you guys. I only ever end up confused.

I suppose that’s good for the baby too?

Grace: No, I just like eating ice cream with my nose.

Okay, this doll thing just keeps getting weirder…

Once again, Grace isn’t letting pregnancy stop her from doing what she loves most.

Soon enough, she was having the baby.

Nestor: Ahhh, what’s happening?!

Fortunately, Nestor was able to calm down enough to drive Grace to the hospital.

They had a baby girl named Joanna, after Nestor’s mother who unfortunately passed away while they were at the hospital.

Note: Okay, so at this point my game took a turn for the worst. Things got really glitchy after Joanna was born, and I couldn’t take any pictures of her. Hopefully I’ll be able to edit this chapter once things get better
