=) Legacies. I had a pretty epic legacy in Sims 2,and I followed pretty simmilar rules. No cheats, no extra cash, and one single founder. It got very interesting. I reccomend starting a legacy, they're so much fun!

To many rules! I'd be surprised if I even made it to gen. 10!
It sounds like fun, but not for me!:]

Started my Legacy game the other day, started off with a really tiny 4 square house in riverview with nothing but a bed in it XD It was amusingly fun to have to go to the gym & stuff to shower, etc.
I found a really good way to get started was to visit the community gardens that are in riverview (I believe theres an equivalent in sunset valley somewhere) and there I picked a ton of fruits which I was able to plant and eventually sell to make a ton of money really quickly.
I now have a fairly big house with 2 floors and a baby on the way. Sadly the woman I picked up off of the streets to marry is almost an elder and my sim's still a young adult, but oh well :/

I'm sure this has been asked, but are we allowed to choose LTW for Sims other than the heir?
Thanks,

I like the idea of rolling and if it conflicts with the family trait, you have to try for another heir.
My question is about ghost babies: since they aren't considered part of any bloodline, can I pick their traits? I just had one in my game and would like to give her neat, natural cook, and green thumb, as well as any others that would make her a good live-in housekeeper.
I already have 2 live sims to choose from for heir, I just thought having a good housekeeping ghost might come in handy.

I know you can't marry sims you created, but am just wondering if you can marry the children/ancestors of custom sims when further into the game. You probably have to have some custom sims at start for town to still function later on, anyways, right?
Just started this and hope to actually get somewhere with family thing, have like 6 in 1st-3rd generation (none part of this challenge).
And another thing: I know you can't use cheats for giving advantage to your sims, but can you use moveobjects/constrainfloorelevation and other things used just for building/making the house look nice in the future generations?

Jafo, I'm assuming that you can pick the traits of the ghosts--like you said, they do not contribute to the technical legacy gameplay. I figure as long as you're playing close enough to Pinstar's rules, it's, well, close enough. I guess maybe I'm not the best person to ask...
Blue, you can marry the children/ancestors of the Sims you create, since their looks, traits, and LTW are all random. Plus, you're right--you do need to keep putting Sims into the neighborhood to keep the population up. Story progression alone does not do a good enough job of it.
I'm assuming (yes, I assume a lot) that you can use those building cheats, but I do not know enough about them to provide you with a proper answer.
Does anyone have an answer to my question? Can we choose LTW for Sims other than the founder?

Someone asked what Omni plant is- its learned when you level gardening up pretty high- and do those oppurtunities for gardening (the 3 after level 8 ) and the omni plant grows into what ever fertilizer you give it. So books if you like.
I was wondering if anyone else had repeated random traits? I'm on gen4, and I havn't gotten anything usefull like cooking or handiness or computerr wiz. I get things like loner, brave, good, friendly, neurotic and clumsy a million times over though....
Oh and you can pick a LTW froma list if you dont see one you like when the random one pops up. There are 4 or 5 to choose from when they become adults.

dl- I think you can choose other sims lifetime want. When an offer for lifetime want comes up in the wish box, i don't think you have to accept it, you can wiat until all the options appear and choose.

Why have somebody (in this case Pinstar)tell you what to do in YOUR legacy? Why not make your own rules? You can keep some rules but if you don't like one change it. Be leaders! Don't sit back and let others decide what you can do! RISE UP AGAINST IT!

Starting out my Legacy in Gen 1 and wondering one thing. How rich is rich? I married my Sim Guy, Chancey off to a lady, who had a car (sell-back 6000) and a laptop (sell back 3200) and she's up to Lvl 6 in her career. Starting from nothing, that seems like quite a lot of money!
Wondering if the Rich in the rules refers to the "Rich" that comes up in their profiles, or just someone who isn't poor!

@ Marcusspencer13 I'm sorry, but he's not TELLING us. Most of us do make our own rules, our own little personal challenges. Mine is trying to keep all green heirs and completing all LTWs. Personally, I hate starting out with a premade house. Why? No challenge whatsoever, though I've seen Legacies where that's popping up more and more. No offence, just not my cup of tea. So, really, please don't assume that we're all being sheep and following Pinstar's rules to a T.
Anyway, @Sadodosah, I think it just means 'Rich' in their profiles.
