It's amazing Conor!

Also I love your commitment to such a detailed longterm project.....Altough most of my worlds take a few months....I can't imagine building a world with this level of detail. It's great!!!

Unbelievably gorgeous work, Conor! If you want more beta testers, drop me a line--I'll be glad to help out if there's no CC.

My studio -- c'mon by and take a peek! ** CC-free.

Wow - nearly forgot about this
Just joking

The weather has been awfully distracting, but all the lots in RF are almost complete. I'm putting my all into them. Next is final experimentation with the ini files and then ... the real Testing!

These are great news I think I've never commented here, but I just love your landscapes and lots. I've never been to Ireland (Hopefully one day i will ), but I've seen pictures of it and your world looks a lot like the real place.
Great job, Can't wait to see more pictures and test it!

Love your world. I have a question though: I'm trying to create a harbour like the one you've built but all the retaining walls I have seem to be longer than the ones you used. Are yours custom ones? Also, what textures did you use for the tarmac road around it?

Thanks.

Hi Nilxis Thank you so much! Glad you like it and I hope you eventually get to come over here and see why I made a sims version of it

Hi alexspoom
No, no they are not custom at all. I don't know what EA world they are used in (probably Bridgeport) but They are called "Large Seaswall". They seem shorter/longer because I smushed them in together (using the grid, to get them exact) so that explains the layout Hope you understand me
The tarmac texture is just the street_base texture from the Birdgeport tarmac road textures. Twinbrook also has those tarmac textures so I think you can use either one. You can get them here: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/181739.page **Wait - do you mean the road textures themselves or how I got the roads to visually have no edges? I used the tarmac street_base as a terrain paint, for that
Hope that helps & good luck with whatever you're doing with them!

Thank you so much for replying.

Ahh, that would explain it. I'd been searching for them by typing in 'retaining' so if they're called 'large seawall' that would be why I couldn't find them.

I had a feeling the end of the road was terrain paint, and I have those textures already so that's alright. Thanks again.

Me again. I still can't find them, I just searched for 'wall' and none like yours came up. Were they unlocked from another world? Because I don't have them.

**Edit- they came with Twinbrook, I had to unlock them, but I've got them now.

**Edit 2- I've set my seawall up now, but I'm having trouble getting my roads the same as yours. I know the bit leading into the water is terrain paint, but what about the surrounding roads? I've got the tarmac textures but I'm not sure how you set them up and how you achieved the transparent sidewalks. Sorry for all the questions, I just really like the harbour and would like one similar.

I've always wanted to recreate the place where I live, we also have very nice landscapes here. Guess one day I will do it

Hi Conor,

I keep coming back to this thread, hoping for the DL link to finally appear ... The more pics you post, the more I fall in love! It's like a real piece of the world and still full of imagination. Keep going! I guess the exchange will break down once you actually make this baby downloadable ...

Now, to pass the time until I can download Rinn Fáda, I'm playing around with a little rural world myself, but I just can't get the green right - you know, the main grass terrain that gives the world its "overall" color. Would you perhaps tell me which terrain paint you are mainly using for the lush green grass? If I'm not asking for your world builder's secrets here, that is ... Would be most grateful seriously!

I'm live in Ireland and this is so realistic it's scary! I would definately download it but my laptop is rubbish so i probably wouldn't have enough memory or whatever... But I just wanted to commend you for all your hard work and commitment!
