Ok, I'm stuck on this one. My founder's wife is 90 days old, will die at any time, and the glitch having to do with the perfect garden is causing me to not get my LTW or 100k achievement points for her. The glitch is that for this wish, you need to plant and grow 8 species of perfect plant, but apparently, not mentioned in the wish text, they all have to be mature at the same time. So after fighting with timing for weeks ingame, she finally has 8, all mature at once, different species. I can't figure out how to upload the screenshot, but when you mouse over the LTW it says #/8 to show progress, and it says very clearly 8/8. So the wish should be completed. But it's not. And the 32k aspiration points would put her over 100k. So the question is, if it doesn't complete before she dies, should I just give myself the point for the LTW and the point for the aspiration, because she really did complete the achievement?? Any thoughts?

I have no official say in this, but I would say you can, because a game glitch isn't your fault. Its bad enough you miss out on the In-game points for her. I personally don't have the patience to attempt that LTW on any of my sims Hope you get it sorted out.

I thought you had to harvest them all at the same time for the wish to fulfill, so next time she gardens, she should get eight different types of perfect produce. I haven't completed that one yet. I have a bunch of perfect produce in inventory, but not a green thumb yet or someone who had that wish pop up.

On another note, I downloaded the Create-a-World tool and looked at it, but wasn't interested in it. Apparently installing that is like installing an Expansion Pack. When I uninstalled it, the games I played are blank. Unfortunately, even reinstalling the CAW didn't let me play the games. I do save a lot though, so I have an old save from before the sixth generation heir was conceived. I also have a file saved to the library with the sixth generation heir as a toddler. (In my game he was already a child, but I was having errors and didn't backup recently.) My options are to try again to conceive the sixth generation heir (losing at least a full week of Sim play) or to put the library file (which is only four days old) down in a brand new Riverview, thus losing all relationships outside the immediate family. I like the second option better because I don't have to replay as much, but I will lose adding a couple headstones to the family graveyard and the paintings that those moved out siblings created are showing blank canvases. To my great sorrow I do have the recent game folder, but I can't get the game to read it. Would a complete uninstall and reinstall of Sims 3 allow me to read it though, as even reinstalling the CAW didn't work? What are your thoughts?

I have had a problem similar to this, I had a game file that didn't work, but after WA was installed it suddenly did... If Reinstallation doesn't work, I may suggest loading the game that hadn't had the heir yet, move them out and put the more recent family from the library in to have the most recent sims and the evolved neighborhood.

Hopes this helps although it probably doesn't Hope you get this sorted out as well.

So my husband says I should share this.. When I was playing last night, my founder decided to go dance with his wife. I have been pushing them very hard to get achievements and things done, so I have been turning down all unnecessary interactions. So I canceled it and told him to go to bed. A few ingame hours later, his wife died. I was shocked and hit the pause button, staring at the screen. I had expected her death, but I just turned down her husband's wish to have one last dance with her before she died!!! I had to exit to the main menu to redo those few hours, because I felt such remorse! I had her romance with her husband, and then brighten her sons days, the 4 of 5 sons I got to before she died again. Even so, I was sad for the rest of the evening! I'm still feeling the loss. I got to gen 3 of the legacy before I restarted with this one, and I didn't feel anything at the loss of the founder's husband that time. Guess I just felt more connection with this one. She was Meadow something-or-other from riverview, insane tree-hugger. I'll miss her.

Ooooh, thanks! I always like to hear good feedback. ^^ Even if I haven't checked here in ages, obviously... I do intend to get back to the blog, but I've been kinda holding off to see if they get some more of the bugs fixed, since it seems like each game I try to play gets bugged fairly quickly, and I don't want my Legacy family to get wrecked (again)!

Were there any specific rules added with the addition of WA that I should know about?

I know it took ages but here it is finally. A new chapter of the Watery Legacy is up. Hope you enjoy it. http://maritwatery.wordpress.com/about/chapter-7-growing-up/
I am also already working on Chapter 8 so that should be up soon too.
Thanks to everyone who reads my Legacy and please leave comments on your opinion about it

I think my legacy game is lost. I sent an elder to France just to shop, and now the game crashes every time I try to get him back home. My 3rd heir was just born, so I'm not that far along but a lot of work went into it along with an in character blog with pics etc.

So I'm wondering should I just scrap both and start from scratch? Or try to reconstruct using cheats to get me back to where I was ?
Very frustrating.

Lmao, I don't know if anyone has asked this question already or what, but here goes.

I have a budding alphabet Legacy, only on Generation 1 (although voting for the heir is taking place at http://dohlfamily.wordpress.com/2010/01/28/gen-b-voting/). Anyways, two of the children are Artistic, and one of them has already painted a portrait of her mother. The other one is also Insane, and when instructed to paint a portrait of her father... well, this is it so far:

I find it rather hilarious, but I have to ask: does this still count even though it is deformed by a Sim's insanity? I'm not really playing for points, but I still want to do things right so... yeah. I really need an answer here. xD

Alrighty, so i'm restarting my legacy because i kinda have to. I switched from a PC to a laptop so...
---->anyways, i have a question before i start. Pinstar kinda contradicts himself when he says that kleptos, rummagers, and thieves are now allowed to liquidate their stolen goods for cash. But later on he says that we can sell collected items as long as they werent stolen outta someones trash can.
---->this really confuses me because in my first attempted legacy, i sold the items i had stolen but now i'm just confused.
---->HELP?:)

Also, are anyone's sims turning into long limbed naked (but not graphic) people. Ive seen a couple sims walking around like this but now my newborn girl is invisible except this long bare limb that only shows up at certain angles.
---->PLEASE HELP?
