The Sims 3 World Adventures Errors, Bugs & Problems

Well im on version 2.0.86.002001. And Ill load the game via the laucher and the world adventures loading screen pops up and doesnt load at all. Ive already uninstalled it im going to add the patch to it but I doubt that matters. This has to be the worst gaming exprience ever for me. I've never had a game that doesnt work at all. Thanks EA

deleted the cc and that resource file and got my traits and lifetime rewards back. Except rewards that were already purchased are gone. I think I'm going to copy my town before trying to send 'em on vacation . . .

Before installing the game, I took out all of my custom content and backed up my files. Installation went quick, I updated the game, and then started to play. Nothing too noticeable except it seems like the time to build up skills was taking longer than usual and when my sim was at work her performance bar would barely move even if she was working hard. Also, I have this problem where the game will freeze for a second and then continue and freeze again for a second, continue and it does it over and over again...I dont know if its World Adventures doing it or the patch but it got kind of annoying. And, like a poster above has stated, even though I took out all of my CC it still shows up in game so I thought that was kind of weird.

Edit: forgot to add that I had my sim make a group meal and put it in the fridge to save for later, she goes to bed that night, in the morning that group meal is spoiled....so i believe those are all the issues i have experienced in the few hours that I played.

I can't install the patch it says: Update Error: Invalid File Found. Without installing the patch I can't install WA.

I was so excited to play WA, however, i signed in to see if i had to change the settings like i used to do for Sims 2 expansions, then when i tried to save my family or even go to the main menu it wouldnt let me. It read ERROR CODE: 16, i checked the read me, no 16 so i have no idea whats going on!

i hope they fix this soon, i dont wanna play and have it not save

also, maybe someone can help me, if i need to uninstall custom content, how do i do it? and will it delete the stuff ive made like patterns?? and will it delete the items ive purchased?

I can't save anymore.

Unless I use Save as, Save as, Save as. I don't have ANY Mods/CC/Etc. I have WA and have done all the patches. No idea if it's the patch or WA or a combo causing this error. :S

My problem is I can't even get the game to fully load. I can get to the screen where I chose which family to play. I click on that and it looks like it's starting to load. The music is playing, different tips are presented. But down at the bottom, that green bar, it just gets to about a fifth of the way and then...nothing. It never goes past that point. And getting the game to stop is a pain all by itself. I downloaded the patches right off the bat. Now I'm wondering if that was the problem in the first place. Hmm, maybe I should uninstall WA and try again [i]without[/] the patches. Couldn't be any worse.

darkgoddess - I am having the same problem! I reinstalled the game, but i still have an issue where are the mods/pkg folder and the resource file? If anyone else has a solution or has the same problem reply back please!

My game is on window mode, and runs fine, except that I have to use Save As.

I am having a problem with saving like most of you. I keep getting an error message and it is getting on my nerves

. I haven't had a problem with saving my game since I got the Sims 3 and I thought that was because of my computer. The computer itself is quite new. I hope they come out with a patch, soon. I want to play the game.

I had no trouble installing or running the game. Here's my situation:

Single young adult SIM with life set to longest setting (epic, I think) has about 42 days before aging up. Goes on first trip, 6 days to China, and returns still as a young adult, but with 190+ days left until aging up. Don't recall anything happening on "adventure" that suggested any form of "rejuvenation," so it just seems to be some sort of error.

Also, I kept getting error 16 when trying to save the game after returning, but eventually I tried using "Save as..." and chose a new name for the file. That worked for me.

While nothing as serious as the errors people above are facing, I came across one bug while building a house.

There is a "slat" door, and for some reason, the lighting of the door is inside out! For example, if you place the door on a room where the inside of the room is dark (no windows), and the outside is bright (outdoors), the game will light the door opposite as it should: i.e. the inside of the door will be bright, and the outside dark. I don't notice this behaviour on any other doors, just the slat door.

I just bought the game today and am having the same problems. So removing my MODS will give me access to the traits? Can I put them back after I've created a game, or will this cause more problems?

I'm having a ton of problems. Whenever I go on vacation my Sims' relationships get destroyed.

I sent a married couple to Egypt and when they showed up they weren't married anymore- they were just friends. Then I had a family of four go to France and only one member of the family returned home. The other members showed up as residents of France and when I had my Sim invite them to visit (hoping I could move them back in) they weren't related anymore (they weren't her daughters or husband).

I'm getting a tad frustrated. I have no hack or custom content. Sigh- guess I'm waiting for the patch.
