HappySimmer3 wrote:Conor, I love it!! Love the road layout, especially the winding road and the way you lined it with vegetation. And the fields! They look great, too! This sure doesn't look like something I would just look at and not play, either. And it seems like something the Pets expansion will be terrific for. Very nice!
Fast reply, Tangie! Thanks. The area that is in the pics above will perhaps be the most remote - the rest of the map will consist of a small village with nearly all rabbitholes.
Oh, and surprisingly, it runs very smooth in-game - even on my computer!! I thought it'd be as laggy as hell with that amount of trees but no it's grand
Thanks.

I'm jealous of your very cool field boundary work; amazing from bird's eye and low level.
Horses route like walking? Huzah. That is great info for planning in my world. I've been afraid to lay down roads/trails in the area intended to have Horse ranches.

Hi Tin! Thanks If I need help, I'll ask you! I'm going back to school in another 2 weeks so I may be busy then so I may need a tad bit of help.

Thanks, Wombastic. Surprisngly, making the fields doesn't take so long. I was dreading making them but it's kinda fun It's all just random; I place the road and lots first, and then go crazy with the fields. Oh and yes I'm THRILLED about horses. There's tons of new info/videos at the Pet Forum. One of which shows a sim on a horse and from what it seems, just operates exactly like telling a sim to walk where. Brilliant.

I love it-just don't forget to put a cozy little pub in the village!

Thanks Lennon - haha don't worry I will be!! There'll be two pubs in the main village, one pub in the small port village, and then perhaps another two out around the corner roads!

Conor this is really really beautiful, and so accurate! (not that I visit the countryside much!) Your sculpting and painting is as good, if not better, than anything I've seen on an EA world. I don't usually download worlds because I'm focusing on making my own, but I'll definitely be exploring this when it's done. I wish we could add our own custom vacation worlds because I'd love my Sims to go on holiday to Ireland (and then be disappointed by the weather )

Conor, Rinn Fada just gets better and better. I love it. It really captures the essence of that part of the world. Some worlds can look fancy and knock you out with a wow factor one-two punch, but something like the essence you are capturing with Rinn Fada is very rare indeed.

Hi, and thanks Rochelle! I'm just done the cliffs now so that's pretty much all of the tedious sculpting done THANK GOD. Anyway .. oh that would be great, the vacation world thing. Oh and ahaha! As I type this it's lashing outside

Oh wow, thanks Johnny And as much as I am eager to start lots, I'm not the best builder so hopefully they wo't destroy "the essence". Google Images and my neighbours houses are my friends, though

Thank you Lizzie_c. I'm planning to release it/have it done a bit after the Pets Expansion is released, so it's not that long to wait yet.

Connor it is really coming along nicely. It is so lovely. I am looking forward to playing it. You know my non-native American ancestors came not only from England, but from Scotland and Ireland, so I have a good part of my heart there, particularly in Scotland and Ireland. I love the music and the sound of the Celtic languages. I am hoping that some day some one will make a world of the Scottish Highlands too. We try and go the the Highland games in Northern California every years, and I bask in the sounds of the music and the games. I love the music of the bagpipes, both the Scottish and the Irish. No doubt I will hear the Irish pipes when I play your lovely world, taking turns with the lilting sounds of a harp.

Conor, I actualy adore your worlds. It looks unbelievably incredible! I especialy love the little path down to the beach, and the port area.
I would love to build a little port area like that, now I feel like I'd be stealing your ideas!

Thanks Rukaya Oh A Scottish world would be delightful ... but I believe there's one in progress! It's by the creator of the magnificent Constant Springs, DoubleMedion: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/365872.page#5120597
I suppose that kind of inspired me to make this, though I have been longing to make an Irish world for some time now. Tá athas orm go maith leat mo dhomhain (forgive any gramatical errors in that )

Hi and thanks Kay. I wanted to make a beach, as the world is on the coast, but I didn't want it littered with tourism. It's awfully small, but rather beautiful, so I think it fits Oh I like the port too; I knew those clumsy retaining walls would come in handy at some point!
