Chapter 2

"Hey Blake..." I said calmly though on the isnide my heart was beating a mile a minute.
"Oh... did he flake or something? You sound down..." He said. Did I really? It's not like I was trying to be.
"No!" I said a little too loudly.
"Oh... then why are you-?"
"Can you meet me at the beach?" I asked. The line was silent for what felt like hours.
"Sure..."

I stood around, looking at the sky, Counting the stars when I heard a farmiliar voice.
"Counting the stars again?" Blake asked. I looked forwards and smiled.
"Yea... trying to look for us." I said with a laugh. he frowned.
"That star is long gone." He said. I sighed.
"It didn't have to be." I said grabbing his wrist. His face flushed.
"Do you want to look? For your star i mean..." I said my face turning beet red. He laughed and brushed my cheek.
"You never changed."

"I miss doing this..." He said staring at the sky. I bit my lip.
"yea..." I said looking at his eyes.
"Why did we break up again?" He asked. I sighed.
"I don't know... why don't you tell me." I said feeling a lump rising in my throat. He turned away.
"Things got difficult and I thought after what you said... that we were done." I let a tear roll down my face.
"You kept saying you had to give up your dream... you kept saying this wouldn't last anyways..."
"But look at us now." He said. I smiled.

I placed my hand on his.
"I didn't call you hear to discuss our past." I said.

His eyes widened.
"You said it yourself, you didn't know why we broke up. We made mistakes... I think we should start over." A grin spread across his face.
"Does that mean your my girlfriend?" He asked. I smiled and shook my head.
"I said we are starting over remember?" I asked. He nodded.

He leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. I giggled. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to my feet. He slid his fingers between mine and started to sway back and forth.
"Will we be this way forever?" He asked. I laughed.
"Depends, will you trade me for a house?" I asked. He grabbed my waist and whispered in my ear,
"I wouldn't trade you for all the stars in the sky."

We stood there kissing until we were both out of breath. He smiled and whispered in my ear,
"I have work tomorrow." I sighed.
"I know. I'll see you later." I said. He kissed me good bye then drove away in his car. I stayed there staring at the sky all the more. Trying to re live every second we both shared within the past hours. That night I fell asleep on the beach.

I stumbled home and showered. I sat eating my waffles and glaring at my diploma.
"What have you done for me recently? Except cost me about $10,000..." I said spitting out a chunk of partially chewed waffle. It sat there, practically laughing at me. I sighed, then took a look at the paper. I almost choked when i saw it.
"Wanted medical personal will pay $22 per hour 4-5 hours a day." I stood up and grabbed my diploma. I called them up.
"Please tell me the job is still available!" I said. The woman laughed.
"Honey... of course it is i'll have rodrick take your information... welcome to the bump and grind"

I was so excited I started runing to the salon to tell blake. That's when I heard it.
"Aurora!" Billy yelled. I groaned and stomped to his porch. He looked away.
"So... you and Blake are back on again?" He asked. I nodded.
"How did you know?"
"Blake called me... he was bragging about it like he won a trophy." Billy said. My mouth fell open.
"Blake would never do that to me..." I said. Billy glared.
"Who are you trying to convince? Me? Or yourself? Face it Billy is a jerk with a capital J." I shook my head.
"Your just jealous! You've always like me and I know it!" His face turned red. I immediately regretted saying it.

"Billy... I didn't mean it it just slipped out." I said. He shook his head.
"How long have you known?" He asked. I laughed.
"Billy, in third grade you followed me around like a sick puppy dog." I said brushing hair behind my ears. He bit his lip then ran inside.
"Billy!" Yelled after him. He locked the door. My heart sank a little. I had to talk to Blake.

But first, I needed to get the mail. I walked to the mailbox and sighed.
"Bill... bill... what the-?" I opened the strange blue envelope. I stared at the pretty pink paper and started screaming and jumping up and down. My first paycheck. $54. I hopped on my motorcycle and rode to the grand white house.

But when I got there I was surprised by a little barking fluffy ball of black fur. I laughed.
"Your a vicouse one." I joked letting him sniff my hand. He growled then started licking it. I laughed and fed him a treat.
"Oh... you two met?" I heard Brodrick say with a laugh. I spun around and flashed him a smile.
"He's darling, is he yours?" I asked. he nodded.
"Had him since I was a kid. His name is... ok promise you won't laugh?" I nodded.
"Mr. smoke." I giggled.
"Mr. smoke?" He nodded.

"So other than making fun of me, why are you here?" He asked. I leaped forward and handed him the check.
"Ta dah!" I sang. He smiled.
"Great! Only $750 more and your out of debt." He said. I laughed.
"You know it! Well I have to go break the good news to a friend of mine." I said running to my motorcycle.
"What kind of friend? Is he a boy?" He asked with a laugh.
"Maybe..." Is all I said before I left.

I finally made it to the salon. When i got there Blake lifted me off the ground and spun me around.
"Finally, my break." He said jokingly and kissed me. I felt butterflies flying in my stomache.
"Missed you too." I said jokingly.
"You'll never guess what?" I said. He stroked my cheek.
"What?"
"I got a job. I'm an organ donor." I said. He grinned.
"Good for you."
"Yea, but I have one question... did you call Billy and tell him we were dating?" I asked. He pulled away.
"Why? Did he give you trouble? Is he harassing you?"
"No... it's fine but we talked and he told me you had."
"Well, yes... okay, I just thought it would be good to put that smug little twig down a peg. I just wanted him to know that your my new girlfriend." I crossed my arms.
"That wasn't really nice... and I never said i was your girlfriend." I said feeling the lump rise again. He smiled and grabbed my hand.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I bit my lip.
"I'll have to think about it." I admitted he kissed my cheek.
"So be it."

I wiped away a tear that made it's way down my cheek. I had wanted this for so long... I had dreamed of this day for years since we broke up. But now it just feels stressfull. I sighed and looked out the window. Was it right? Was I making the right decision? I looked back and said
"Blake... wait..."
