I was already forced to get a Facebook by EA in order to get extra content for Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. I keep it totally hidden (no pictures, no friends, no public content) and never use it except when necessary. However, what bothers me about this new scheme is that they want "new fans." I want the stuff they're promising but I'm being punished because I already "liked" the page? It already has 10,000,000 likes and they want more? I pretty much think that everyone who wants to "like" Sims 3 has already "liked" it. So we're relying on at least 50,000 new people to "like" the page. That's BS.

I think the idea is to get everyone to go out and tell all your non-simming friends to 'like it', and bring in some new victims, er, I mean, players.

If they want me to purchase something, they can put it in the store. Or they can go jump in a lake, I'm kind of at the point where I don't care which one they choose.

I'm pretty much the same. I don't have any use for a facebook account and I'm not going to get one for EA.

In the left column in The Sims 3 Store App page - Underneath where it says 10 mil + like this 238k are discussing this etc. There is a LIKE tab and if you click on that it opens up a box with all their "global" pages with a like button next to them. I believe all those count towards the goal...

See if "unliking" it and liking it again makes a difference, just an input that might be possible? x.x
