Thats good to hear about your son

Wow, I love the living area! The colors are perfect. If it's easier for you, you can just put as much decor as you like, and I can take out the stuff thats lags.

Hi Emily! I'm glad you like the living area
I'm afraid giving me free hands with decor is a major mistake...
But I try really hard to not use too much clutter/deco here and there.

News about your lot:
The landscaping is nearly finished.
I was stupid, because inside the house I watched very hard to not use WA-items, but absolutely forgot it in the garden, because WA contains really great landscaping stuff..., so needed to re-design everything...
I hope it won't lag your game too much, but you can delete what you wish there too.

I think, I'm close to finish the interiors too.
I need to recolour the furniture-items on the 2nd floor's rooms (unfortunately I often have huge lag in create-a-style-mode nowadays, even lost 2 hours work in a game-crash...) then I'll start to re-check everything, then playtesting and upgrade the appliances.

I don't want to promise anything in advance, but there's a chance that I'll be able to finish it this weekend.

Now back to your lot in my game

Hi, Emily! Congratz on getting WA, I think you will like it
I read it only now and I just (nearly) finished your lot - I need to playtest it and take photos, (and also need an idea with the name lol), so I think it will be up tonight or tomorrow.
But I will see around where I would like to change something for WA-items.

I do like it very much. I've only seen France and China so far, but I will probably have my sims go to Egypt today.

And OMG I AM SO EXCITED!

Hi, Emily! Your lot is finished and ready to move in. I hope you like it, and will enjoy it in your game!

SUMMER BREEZE - NO CC
http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=5644341

Fully furnished and decorated luxury family home with modern interiors.
4 bedrooms (master, 2 child-girls, teen boy), 5 bathrooms, office, laundry, garage (with gym) and outdoor parking spaces, and accomodation for a large dog.
Kids' living-areas on the 2nd floor with a play- and a game-room.
Beautiful garden with pool, spa, barbecue, playground and a little free space to play with balls.

All appliances upgraded unbreakable. Coast of the furnished version is about 201.000 Simoleons - after my handy-sim lived in there for some days.
No custom content and tested in game with a full family.
I used only 2 pay store content (the large paint from the Stancke-set and the fruit-bowl from the Mid-century - you wrote you own both -, and one deco from the latest free Halloween-set (the skull in the game-room).
As I see, the download-page shows the Outdoor SP, but still have no idea what it would be, tell me please if you find something.

I broke the design a bit for the easier gameplay, added a plus door to the back of the garage, so the kids can reach the bathroom more easily from there. Because of this I had to remove one of the cars to the outside, but this way there were enough free place to add a gym-function to it.
There were enough place to create separate rooms for the girls, and also added a kid-livingroom, so I felt that I spoiled the girls too much with these (forgive me, I have 2 boys LOL), so "the parents" let the teen boy create a game-room above the garage
I placed the stairs the way the large dogs can use it too.

Most pictures were made in Hidden Springs, but the end of the post I added Starlight Shores-screenshots too to show, how it will look there.

I don't like the the basic landscaping colours in Starlight Shores, so I fully painted the floor with the best looking grass terrainpaint (4th one from World Adventures), this is what you see on the last pictures, but the lot itself doesn't contain the full paint of the terrain, only some realistic paints around the trees and some bushes. This way if you'd change your mind and would like to use it in Hidden Springs, it will have the original grass-colour, which is extremely beautiful - I think.
So if you'd like the same design in Starlight Shores, paint the ground everywhere - just be careful around the trees and some flower bushes where you see other terrain-paints.

OMG I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS HOUSE! Thanks you so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much! *squeal*

I do have a few questions though

1. Did you run it through custard? I saw a few items that look like CC, but it might just be the Create a Style.

2. How do I download from the exchange? I haven't ever downloaded from the exchange before

EDIT: One more question Where is that lot in Starlight Shores?

I'm so glad you like this lot!

1. Of course, I ran it through custard, and it's completely clear.

I re-installed all games a month ago, and added only the store-items to it, but for any case I always check my own work with the custard.

Which are the items you think, that it's custom content? I often use the moveobjects on cheat to create decorations, so probably it will be that.

I don't use custom- or CAP-patterns either, so this lot contains only official stuff which came with the EPs/SPs. I even didn't use store-patterns, because if you don't own the item they came with, they won't show up in your game.
I like to play with the pattern-channels to create a bit different and prettier look like the original.

BTW I found the culprit from the outdoor-living SP, the little fruit-dish-like thing on the corner-counter in the kitchen. Sorry for this, just delete the thing which replaced in your game, please.

Downloading from the exchange is really easy:
On the lot's download-page you will see a link with the text: SAVE FILE. It's on the right down side of the lot's picture. Click on it, it will ask you where do you want to save, choose a folder and save it. You can save it in your Downloads-folder, but I usually recommend to save somewhere else, because first I check everything with the custard before I add it to my game (I NEVER use the large green dot which says: add to game)
If you're sure you'd like to add something to your game, copy it to your sims3/downloads-folder, then as usually - open the launcher and install it.

3. I don't know the English names of the roads, but there're 2 empty 40x40 lots close to the hills, I choosed the one to front of a large 'canyon'. This empty lot is nearly a 'corner'-lot, close to the road on the side of the pool which goes down towards the beach.
I edited the landscaping with more palms.

I hope I could answer your questions, tell me please, if you need more help.
