New Patch Not Patching Game

This did not help me at all, I'm able to begin the installation of the patch on the download manager but it stops at 7% and then says "invailed file found". I have downloaded no CC or mods anything, there definitely seems to be a fault with the patch for vista.

Go to start, and in Start Search type regedit > Hkey_Local_Machine\softwre\sims\ The sims 3
One of them is SKU. Double click on SKU and change Value Data from 1 to 2.
If its another value other than 1 try putting it to 1.. If this doesn't work.. put it back to how it originally was.. And make sure you are downloading the correct patch for your version of the game.

You need to download the Ea Download Manager, I know this because I unistalled and reinstalled and there was a bit for the ea download manager and it said you will need to download this for any patches.

This patch made the fastforwarding a bit faster but now it just crashes for no reason.

I don't know if anybodyelse is having this problem, but once I install the patch, my game loader won't let me install anything anymore. I can't install store items, sims, lots or anything.

Other than that it works fine.

Let's try this, then:

1. Click Start or press the Windows key and R, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.

2. Click on Startup.

3. Select disable All.

4. Click on Services.

5. Check the box that says Hide All Microsoft Services, then Disable All.

6. Apply, then restart your system.

Attempt to reapply the patch. This will eliminate most of what might be interfering with the patch running properly on a software level. Once you're done, repeat the above procedure, using the Enable All buttons to turn services and startup items back on. If the patch has already been applied, you may want to back up your files, remove and reinstall the game.

I dont know whats going on with this game but i cant play more than a few minutes

When I clicked on regedit > Hkey_Local_Machine\softwre\sims\ The sims 3 in the start search i got an error message saying that this was not a valid win32 application.

I downloaded the patch but i still can't run the game for more than a couple of minutes :/

My game worked just fine, except for the speeds not working. I downloaded the patch and my speeds work now, but every time I go into build mode the game crashes. The game never crashed before I installed the patch.

After I attempted to install the patch, the game now crashes randomly everytime.

I've installed the patch without any problems but my game is still crashing after a few minutes of gameplay. I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that i'm just not going to be able to play the sims 3
