Hey All –
So I have been going through the ideas and options for contest and it seems creating buildings and Sims are both popular so and everyone seems to like themes so here is my next contest.

Larry is a goth who loves to party! He has spent all of his teen years and even part of his childhood hanging out with friends and just having fun. His parents have always taken care of him, never making him show any responsible for anything. They have supported his life style and all of his habits his entire life! His parents told him that now that he was a young adult he had to grow up and show some responsibility, learn a few skills and even get a job! They have cut him off from everything, they took away all of their money, all of his friends and EVERYTHING he has every known!

They sent him to live in “Riverview” feeling that the calmer urban life would better for him then the big city. They found him a house that had been started but never finished with only the shell of the building up. No rooms nothing! They gave 100,000 to finish his house and told him to contact them again and one year and they wanted to see him with a job, a wife, and his fixed up house! And if he did all of those things they would give him 1,000,000 dollars.

The Contest!

Too keep things simple Larry, the house are upload separately. You do not have to upload them together. You just will upload your version of the redone house.

The House – Part 1

You have to download the shell of the house from here - http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=3810897

You then are allowed to spend 100,000 dollars to finish the house. So you total cost of the house cannot be more then 130,000.

You can design and decorate it anyway they you want but remember that Larry is a goth and like things to have that gothic feel about it. (His taste will be taken in consideration when judging). You may change the roof, add on additions but the square shell must stay in place.

You cannot use any Custom Content. All expansion packs, store items, and T-Mobile are allowed. Dr. Pepper items are ok but I have limited Dr. Pepper items so hopefully it is something I have.

You may create your own style so patterns are fine. But, you must link the link to download the pattern if it is not in your studio.

The New Wife – Part 2

Along with a new home he needs to find himself a new wife. Your job is to Create a Sim that he can married.

Few Other Things.....

As with the luck of the Irish Contest both the Create a Sim and Create a House are separate. So you may create just the Sim or just do the house or both, it is completely up to you on what you decide you are willing to try.

You may enter as many times as you want but please put one entry (House or Sim) per post. And, no sims or houses that have been entered it other contests before.

It will run from now till March 21st. Hope it is something you guys find it is something you are interested in.

We Have Winners......

For wives after we explained to Larry that he was not the next bachelor and he did not get to keep all of the women who signed up he narrowed it downed to his top three chooses.

They were…..

Then it came to houses and again he tried to have one of each saying he could use one for a summer home, another for a vacation spot, another for family and so on but he was of course told he must pick his top three and go from there. So he chooses…..

Thank to everyone who enter and am sorry there will not be any extra prizes for this contest; hubby is still not working due to his broken finger so got to tighten up the purse strings because finances are getting tight.

Well his rich snobby parents were thinking he would grow up and doing something great with his life, like computer science or a laywer. You can imagine their suprise as Larry grew up to be much differently then his name would suggest!

Mystik, would you mind posting what you do have from Dr. Pepper?

60x60 size Lot? Phew! This looks like a tough challenge.

And, you may go ahead and use any of the Dr. Pepper items. I was able to good a good amount of them but was still missing a few when it ended. If it is something I do not have I can just swap it out for something else.

Oh yeah, Larry's parents set him with with a nice large lot to start him off with. But, they only gave him 100,000 to work with! That is not going to be easy. (On a side note I did think 100k was a small amount hopefully it is not too low, what do you think? Think I should up it a bit before everyone starts?)

I'll try to work within the budget. But I usually have a hard time keeping it low. lol...should make it more challenging. But if you want to up the budget, I won't complain, lol.

I think the amount is more than generous. It will keep it challenging to build a place of that size on that amount of money.

Do anyone of us start our adult life with every single possession in place?

Psstt... the new DP codes work on the old content (as they haven't released any new DP items yet). Also... If you find that someone uses an item that you don't have but would like to get, let me know. I have a pile of caps spilled accross my desk waiting for new content. (Thanks to my loving husband and two of his coworkers who are so generously sending caps my way).

I know I'll make a sim for him to marry... I'll have to think on that big lot there.
