Yes, yes the contest queen is at it again - hope you all don't mind. With my Irish contest being done it was time for a new one so here you go......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~

Elizabeth and Edger just got married they bought their plot of land (30x30) and now they are looking for a contractor to build and design their dream home. But, they don’t just want any house! They want Caribbean Colonial style house. Money is not an object and they are providing 500,000 simoloins to the contractor to build their prefect home along with a nice award to the winners of their top three favorites.
Your goal if you choose to accept it is to build Elizabeth and Edger their dream home. To give everyone an idea of what I mean when I say Caribbean Colonial house I am adding this bit of information I got off a website for you.

Caribbean Colonial
• In the 1600s and 1700s, British colonists were adjusting to the tropical climate of the Caribbean. Elegant facets of British life, such as silver accents and fine china dishes, crossed the sea and meshed with weathered woods, elegant silks and other traded materials. Celebrate this in your home with a mix of airy British colonial and Caribbean style.
Use fundamentals from the British colonial era to establish the room. Dark wood furnishings and dark floors create the backdrop. Walls should be colored a light hue, such as a sea tone, and should be highly reflective.
Add texture to the room in the form of woven baskets and rugs. Add accents of china, silver and crystal for an elegant touch. Put fresh flowers in an antique vase. Add tropical palms or ferns for a touch of green against the dark furniture.
Exotic Caribbean overtones should be added tastefully. Include rugged, worn woods such as beams, trunks or rough-hewn furniture. Use colorful silk pillows, throws and lampshades to decorate furniture. Boat-based items, such as a captain's wheel and model sailboats, also evoke the Caribbean. A bookshelf can be made from an old wooden boat and creates an interesting accent.
Bring the beach inside. Use sand, seashells, and other beach items. Decorate a table with a glass fishbowl filled with sand, seashells and plastic gold coins. Use a small fountain for the sound of moving water. Use old rum bottles filled with sand to line a windowsill or shelf.

~~~~New Part 2 – Create Elizabeth and Edger Household~~~~~
So I told you that "
Elizabeth and Edger just got married they bought their plot of land (30x30) and now they are looking for a contractor to build and design their dream home. " but what I didn't tell you is that I need you to create Elizabeth and Edger. Your job if you choice to accept it is to make your version of Elizabeth and Edgar.
Some Details....
1. They must be uploaded as a household without a house (so I may add them in my game with the winning houses).
2. They must be married.
3. They must have the first names of Elizabeth and Edger. Last names are completely up to you.
4. Age (Young Adult/Adult/Elder) is completely up to you.
5. I want them to be "real people like" I am thinking up a contest in the future for pixies, vampires and ghosts but for now please make them similar to the everyday person please.
6. So is the other details from skin tone, traits, sun sign, how they dress, their body side and every other detail about them is for you to decide. Get as creative and have fun with this who do you see in your mind when I tell you Elizabeth and Edgar want you to build them a Caribbean Colonial house?
7. Since I will be putting them in my game no custom content - except custom patterns. All expansion packs, stuff packs, store items, t-mobile and Dr. Pepper items are allowed. I will check each entry with Custard and you will have to remove any custom content before I will accept it as a valid entry.
8. Please use my Entry Form as it makes it easier on me to keep up with all of the entries since I run a lot of contests.
Entry Form
Creator’s Name:
Name of Sims in Household:
Link To Download:
Traits:
Bio/Background Story: (Not required but is looked at when picking winners)
Screenshots: (At least One of the household, one of each Sim in a full body shot – add as many as you wish to make it look good – screenshots are a big part of how winners are picked)
Any other information you want to add:
Prizes
Best Elizabeth and Edger Household
1st Place – 350 Points
2nd Place – 250 Points
3rd Place – 150 Points
Deadline for Elizabeth and Edger will be finish a week before the house deadline is due, so they can be pack and ready to move into their new house when it is done. (And, since I know many people do not like to wait as long for winners on Sims contest). So contest will end for part 2 on April 8th with 1 or 2 days judging and winners should be announced around April 11th.
Ok, hopefully I remembered everything this time. Hopefully this will interest some of you simmers who like me do not feel comfortable enough building houses. I originally was just going to do the build a house this round with no create a Sims but I have a lot of people who really seem to enjoy creating Sims and I know, I myself would not dare entry a contest like this was my newbie building skills but I would love to take on creating a household. So I hope this is an addition people like. You all should know by now I like to keep it as open for as many simmers to entry as possible.
(Boy that was a long post….. Sorry, :blush: )
We Have Winners
Ok, I finally have everything tallied up and ready to post the winners! So at long last here are the winners! I have added 3 runners up as well, since we always have trouble sticking to just three people. So here are your winners……
As always with spending your winners, I do not mind gifting others for you or long list but please give me links and details to help make it a little easier.
1st Place – LoveEvil with her Crib Mystique - – You Have 600 Points to Spend (GIFTED)
This entry was hands down my husband’s favorite and house and got the highest points, of course, with a five point difference between this entry and first place. For this entry we loved the landscaping – the kitchen was amazing and the story was very well done.
2nd Place – Svlyn with her Maison Martinique – You Have 400 Points to Spend (GIFTED - LuckyHeather In Her Place)
With this entry we love the landscaping, the slide show was a joy to watch and we felt you did an amazing job on the entire entry.
3rd Place – Orginalsim with her Ocean Kisses – You Have 200 Points to Spend (GIFTED)
We all liked how you described the house with your screenshots and the bright colors that were used it really gave it that Caribbean feel to it.
For this contest I have added three runners-up that will each get 75 points to spend and they are Luna181618 (GIFTED) with her Caribbean Dream and LuckyHeather (GIFTED) with her Caribbean Colonial Bungolow and Romagi1 with The Seafoam.
Ok that should be everything! If anyone has any questions please let me know. As always winners let me know what you would like to do with her winnings.
How sad that there is no way to replicate hat gorgeous rail...
I may be able to come up with something once my game stops being all wonky. I'm afraid I might need to do another reinstall. But this looks like a lovely contest, as always you delightful hostess you!
Thank you Bloo, I normally always do CAS type contest but I have been so insipred with some of the builders ones like 10x10, shot-gun and other build a houses that I decided to try a builders only contest. I figured with so all of my other contest I still had enough for everyone to do.
And, having just redid my Sims stuff and crying over reinstalling everything I would dread if I had to do a full system install. I hope you get everything back up and running soon and thanks for replying and letting me know that it wasn't a bad idea.
Are we allowed to use ANY patterns, or just ones we have made? I've gotten a couple that I have no clue where they are from, they were downloaded with things I've snagged from contests. If not, I'll avoid the ones that I don't where they came from.
Any patterns are fine. You do not have to link them or anything.
Well, since I LOVE this style of home I will be working on it inbetween Bloo's contest. It may take me awhile but I am going to try.
EDIT: course, if I get the boot you will get your house alot sooner.
May have to give this one a try.
Watched a tv show a few weeks ago about the Caribbean, remember thinking then the houses looked nice. Sounds like the excuse I need to try building one.
Oh, Mystik, you always throw a good wrench in the works! I'm not *really* complaining, LOL, but that 30x30 lot feels so small for this style of home... Maybe because whenever I think of those types of homes I always think of the rich plantation owners who had grand estates near their sugar cane fields. I'm having trouble scaling it down, but the challenge should be fun!
