A Mini Vacation

Yawning, you thank your lucky stars for the baristas at Flying V’s coffeehouse that manage to keep you supplied with caffeine on those early days when you arrive at the office before Rose does. Typing up the final bills and paperwork on the latest Johnson project is a good feeling, but you know that you are only keeping your head above water as new projects are flooding in all the time. Not a bad problem to have at all, you chuckle to yourself as you print out Kaye’s final bill and place it in an envelope for to Rose to mail.

Leaning back in your chair and feeling quite satisfied with yourself, you hear the sound of a key in the front door and Rose’s cheerful humming. You beat her in the office by just 30 minutes this morning. “My goodness,” you think to yourself for the thousandth time. “Whatever would I do without her?” It doesn’t bear thinking about, and you make a mental note to give her another raise and to seriously look into the profit-sharing structure your accountant mentioned at your last meeting.

At 8 o’ clock on the spot, Rose knocks briskly on your door, and enters with a stack of file folders. “You were here early,” she says with a smile. “Finishing up with Kaye’s latest project?

“Oh, yes,” you respond. She and the entire family were quite pleased with the design.”

“This next project will be something a little different, I think,” Rose says with a hint of mystery as she hands over the first file from her stack. “It’s a family from Sunset Valley, but they’re looking for something out of town.”

“Well, that’s not so unusual,” you remark as you take the file.

“But,” Rose continues, “they’re looking for a vacation home. And not just any home - one that will fit on a 10x10 lot they ‘ve inherited from relatives in their vacation destination.”

You look at Rose a bit skeptically. “A 10x10 lot? Really? That seems terribly small…”

“Well,” Rose confides with a secretive air, “the rumor is that the relatives were big spenders at the Lucky Simolean Casino. No one is totally sure what happened to the family fortune, but a few small lots scattered over various worlds other than Sunset Valley were all that was left when Grandpa Les Pleasant passed a few months ago.

You nod in understanding and begin flipping through the file Rose has compiled on the new clients, Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant. “They’ll be here at nine,” she reminds you as she puts the remaining files in your Inbox and exists discretely.

When Rose showed the couple and their twin daughters, Angela and Lilith, in later that morning, you felt sure you had a full understanding of what the family required in a vacation home. Your conversation with the family added to that understanding by revealing personal traits and preferences that would be vital in creating a vacation home that would suit the entire family.

As Rose escorted the Pleasant family out following your meeting, you could already picture the bones of their new get-away in your mind’s eye and couldn’t wait to get started on the design.

    Best Laid Plans III

Sitting at the desk in your office, you stare wistfully out of the window, thinking about how quickly time seems to pass these days. There is a knock at your office door, sighing you turn back towards the room and say “Come in.”

Rose pokes her head around the door and says “Kaye is here, she has the twins with her, would you like me to try and keep them entertained??”

“Rose you are a life saver.” You say, then cover your mouth with your hand as you realise what you said.

Rose looks at you and you see understanding and compassion in her eyes.

“I'll bring her through, and get the kettle on for a pot of green tea.”

You rise from your chair as Kaye enters the room. You see that she looks a little wan, worried, you cross the room and envelop her in a hug. “Come on Kaye, sit down.” You guide her to the closest chair. She lets you lead her and that concerns you even more.

You sit next to her, in the other visitor chair and ask where Kieran is.

    “He couldn't.... He just couldn't...”

You notice tears welling in those green eyes that look a little pallid, not at all the colour they were when you first met her.

    “And Kaiden?”

“Oh, he's at school, we didn't want to disrupt his routine too much.”

    “Of course.”

You sit thinking about tiny little bundle you met on that first job for the Johnson's. You find it difficult to believe that he is at high school now, and about to graduate at that. It's amazing how people come and go in and of our lives, you think. Take Kay, little did you know when you helped her struggle up the office steps all those years ago, that she would become one of your best friends. You find yourself reliving some of the memories of the Johnson's you have been privy to. The birth of the twins, now in their 7th year, the death of Kieran's mum 5 years ago, countless barbecues and dinners you have been invited to. You were even lucky enough to witness one of the twin's first steps!! Now that Kieran's father had passed on, you realised it left Kay and Kaiden as orphans, Kaye having lost her parents just before you met her. It was no wonder that the woman sat in front of her was devastated, Kelvin had been her father as much as Kieran's for the last 17 years, especially with them living on the same property. You finally wonder, why Kaye wanted to meet you at the office instead at either of your homes.

    “I'm pregnant again.”

As if reading your mind, she blurts it out, as if it's a bad thing.

“But Kaye, surely that's wonderful news?”

“In the circumstances, no, it feels devastating, to know that these new little bundles will never know any of their grandparents.”

“Does Kieran know yet??” You ask, fearing you already know the answer.

“No, I haven't told him yet. I don't know how.”

As you lean over and let her lean on your shoulder, there is another soft rap at the door. Rose steps through with the tea pot and two china cups and saucers. She sets he tray down on the desk and gently lays a hand on your other shoulder. You hear shrieking coming through the open door, but this doesn't seem to stir Kaye, so Rose quietly leaves to deal with the twins.

“Come on honey, let's have a drink.”

“Of course, thank you! I'm sorry, I really didn't know who else to tell. Kieran has started planning another remodel and I wanted to come and see you first, so that you knew what you would be getting in the middle of.”

“But you two are OK right?” You ask hesitantly as you pour the tea.

She sighs, “Yes, I guess we are, but how do I tell him?!”

“Well, if I were you I wouldn't tell him, like you just told me!”

A flicker of a smile passes your friends lips and is gone as quickly as it came.

“No, I think I should at least pretend to be happy.”

“Oh Kaye, sweetheart, you should be happy about this, it's OK to be happy about it, you do know that right??”

    “I don't think I do!”

“Oh Kaye, of course you can be happy about this, Kelvin would be over the moon wouldn't he?”

“Yes, you are right, of course he would be. Thank you, I knew you would understand.”

Sensing a change of conversation might be the best course of action you say “So, Kieran's planning a remodel hey?”

“Yes, he wants to tear down the annex! But I wonder if we should turn it into a place for Kaiden. You know, he's graduating soon, he'll want some privacy when he comes back from college in the holidays.”

“I understand his point, but yes, I think you might be right, re-purposing is always more constructive than demolishing.”

Reluctantly you realise you have to put the subject back on the slight bump, now that your attention has been drawn to it, you wonder how on earth Kieran couldn't know.

“So, how far along are you?”

“I've just got over the first trimester, it was so different to when I was just carrying twins.”

“What do you mean, just carrying twins?” You ask.

“Well, I went in for my scan last week, there are three of them in here.” She says as she strokes her belly and looks down at it fondly.

    “Oh... My.... Well... Wow!!”

“I so wish I had known sooner, at least Kelvin would have known he was going to be grandpa again.”

    Tears start to well again.

“Kaye, you weren't to know he would be taken so suddenly.”

“No, I know, at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself.”

Feeling slightly frustrated with this strong woman you had grown to love and respect, you raise your voice.

“Now listen to me Kaye Johnson, Kelvin had a wonderful life, filled with happiness and good memories, and I am darn sure that he would not want to see you questioning yourself like this. You are going to have triplets, they are going to need you to pull yourself together, and what about that pair out there?? They must have been running rings around you this last month or so. You're telling this is good for them?”

You see how startled she is to be spoken to so firmly. But you also see her straighten her back and look a little more composed, a little colour returns to her cheeks.

“You are right, of course you are. I have been so selfish. My babies are so important to me. Especially these ones in here, they really need me in a good frame of mind don't they? Oh my, their lives will have started with such negativity? How did I not realise this before? Thank you, for having the courage to talk sternly to a tearful pregnant woman, that was very brave of you.” This time she smiles and that sparkle is back in those emerald eyes.

“Well, you were already tearful, I don't see how I could have made the situation much worse!” You joke.

“Now, let's get down to business. What is this project going to consist of?”

“Yes, let's start planning for the future.”

    Brief
For those who took part in #227-228 take your existing 60x60 lot and make the following additions:
    • The twin nursery needs to be turned into a twin child's room (no specifics on gender here, do as you wish)
    • You need to add a triple nursery to the home with an attached bathroom.
    • Another guest room with attached bathroom.
    • Take the annex you built for Kelvin and Kathleen and turn it into a home for Kaiden. The specs for this remain the same, i.e. a fully functioning residence, with 2 bedrooms (one of which must have an attached bathroom), a separate bathroom, kitchen, dining space and living area. although, it no longer needs to be wheelchair friendly. As for the décor, well, it's for a teenage boy about to head off to college!
    • You will need to find an area in the grounds for a new weeping willow, somewhere for the Johnson's to go and pay their respects to the loved ones who are no longer with them.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE INTERIOR WALLS ARE KEPT TO MATCH THE PLAN GIVEN, WE WILL NEED TO SEE OVERHEADS OF THE MAIN RESIDENCE!!

For those who took part in #223-224 but didn't take part in #227-228:
    • Using your existing 60x60 lot, add to the main dwelling. A double children's room (no specifics on gender here, do as you wish!)complete with attached bathroom, 2 guest rooms with attached bathrooms. You will also need to add a triple nursery complete with attached bathroom. The interior walls you have built (from the plan) need to stay the same, but you can expand the exterior.
Kaye doesn't know what gender their babies are, so the décor needs to be gender neutral.
    • Design and build a separate dwelling for Kaiden to move into, it needs to be a fully functioning residence, with 2 bedrooms (one of which must have an attached bathroom), a separate bathroom, kitchen, dining space and living area.

For those of you who have yet to meet the Johnson's:
    • You will need to start either by either building this floor plan, or by downloading this shell on a 60x60 lot. All interior walls will need to be kept to the plan specifications, including window and door placements. Then you can start adding to the build...

PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE INTERIOR WALLS ARE KEPT TO MATCH THE PLAN GIVEN, WE WILL NEED TO SEE OVERHEADS OF THE MAIN RESIDENCE!!

To conclude, this epic legacy build, when finished, will contain:
    Main House:
    ☆ 1 master suite
☆ 2 guest rooms with attached bathrooms
☆ 1 double children's room with attached bathroom
☆ 1 triple nursery with attached bathroom
    ☆ Kitchen
    ☆ Dining space
    ☆ Living area

Separate self-contained apartment (a fully functioning residence):
☆ 2 bedrooms (one of which must have an attached bathroom)
    ☆ 1 separate full bathroom
    ☆ Kitchen
    ☆ Dining space
    ☆ Living area

One weeping willow somewhere in the grounds for the Johnson's to go when they want to remember family members no longer with them.

    The Budget
Each challenge has a budget of $250,000, so your final build can not cost more than $750,000.

    Optional Challenge
There are a couple of optional challenges for this one. If you started at the beginning, we want to see how your build evolved, so before and after pics are a must!

If you joined in after the first part of the challenge, we want to find out more about your Johnson family, who are they, what are their traits, what are their hobbies etc... We want to see them enjoying their newly expanded home.

You have three weeks to complete this challenge, as if you are starting from scratch it is a mammoth task! (I might just have to join in on this one myself...)

Now, I am sure there are going to be tonnes of questions about this challenge, so I'm setting up a question and answer section here, we will endeavour to answer any and all questions as quickly as possible.

    Q&A's

You can find the original brief's for the previous challenges here:
    Part 1
    Part 2

snakecharmer wrote:a couple of questions. do we have to use the rooms as they are shown in the floor plan, or can we keep the internal walls etc the same allocate the space differently? also can we build more stories or does it have to remain a single story home,?

    thanks x

You can use the space however you please, just make sure that the internal walls all stay the same.
You can add stories, basements etc etc, but as before, ensure that all internal walls stay the same.

snakecharmer wrote:sorry for another question. do the guest rooms have to be double size? x

Yes, both guest rooms are doubles!!

RachelShennan wrote:I just realised I never added in a vegetable garden to my build, I never took part in the first build so i was building it from scratch.

Is it okay if I can add one in and amend my build?

    That is fine RachelShennan

To others in the same place as RachelShennan (i.e. joined in at part 2 and didn't fit in everything from part 1) feel free to amend your part two project. We only need before and afters from those who started from scratch!

folala wrote:Sorry I missed the last challenge,I didn't even get past the 1st part - I have a very bold computer that likes not working when you least expect it! Everyone's builds look amazing.
Anyway on to the next challenge, so for those of us who haven't done the previous challenges, are you just looking for pics of the finished build or must it be done in 3 steps with before & after & after pics? (hope that made sense)

Up to you entirely folala, if you want to show us all three stages, then go ahead!!

masajo wrote:If we have extended to a first floor, does the first floor plan have to be the same 'wall' layout as the ground floor plan or can we put walls where we like on the first floor extension?

Hey sweetie, it is only the ground floor that HAS to stay the same, you also cannot change any of the ground floor layout to accommodate for the steps.... But you have free reign everywhere else

Due Date: Wednesday, 31st July, Midnight Central Time

    A Neighborhood of Epic Proportions

It was never a good day when you were in the office by yourself. Somehow it seemed that whenever Rose was out of the office, everything went wrong. Already today you had somehow managed to break the coffee maker, been forced to abandon concentration on a floorplan to answer the phone and now the file for the build you just finished seems to have disappeared!

As you mutter to yourself, a little burst of light in the corner of your eye catches your attention. Quickly picking yourself up, you see the little flash of light dart just behind the frame of a door. “What the-? Hello?” Curious now, you follow it, trying to figure out if its someone playing with a laser pointer, a reflection from outside or a possible hallucination from the horrible coffee you made earlier in the day.

After about five minutes, the will-o-the-wisp light vanishes back into your office and is gone. “Huh…Weird.” Still confused, you step over to your desk and pick up the tar that is your coffee. After a long swallow that makes you again regret giving Rose the day off to take her dog to the vet, you realize that there's an strange aftertaste to the drink. It's an odd flavor, something like the way a forest smells mixed with a hint of sparkling… something. You can't even think of what its like.

Even more perplexed you look down into the mug and catch the faintest glimmer of stardust across the surface of the liquid. Then the room around you fades to a mist. It clears quickly and you have a hard time keeping your jaw from dropping.

All around you are stone ruins, deep gray with green moss and vines draped over them. Around the ruins huge trees tower above. The most musical birdsong you’ve ever heard drifts through the air, which smells of pine and woodsmoke. Something about the combination brings back a memory of listening to fairy tales as a kid. With a reminiscent smile on your lips, you turn around to look some more.

Now your jaw really does drop. Standing behind you, watching you silently, are at least 50 people… well not people, specifically. You’re pretty sure you see a few elves, a flying carpet and… and… You struggle to wrap your mind around it as that will-o-the-wisp you chased around your office flitters over the crowd to stop in front of you. With a small starburst of light, it goes from a glowing powderpuff to… a human size fairy? You’re pretty sure that whatever was in that cup probably WAS NOT meant for human consumption.

The fairy, a beautiful woman in a gauzy blue gown, smiles. “You aren't dreaming. Nor are you hallucinating. I am the Fairy Godmother.”

“Um… ok, then. Hi?” You know you sound like an idiot, but you cant help it.

Her smile is understanding, “I know you must be confused. I will try to explain. You are in the world of Storytime. Here dwell all the fairy tales that your world has read and told to others over all the centuries.”

She gestures, “The Three Bears.” A little bear, tucked into the arms of a truly huge bear wearing an apron, waves as Papa Bear standing nearby tips his hat to you.

“Cinderella.” An elegant looking princess curtsies.

“Aladdin.” A dark skinned rogue grins mischievously at you.

“And so many more,” says the Fairy. “So many in your world have read of us, believed in us and loved us that we became real. We built our homes in this half world of dreams and managed to live peacefully.”

“Sounds like a great life," you smile. "So… why am I here?” you add, hoping you don't sound rude.

“We need your help.” She sighs, “With any amount of light, you also have shadows. The brighter the light, the darker the shadows. One particularly dark shadow, the dark fairy who cursed Briar Rose, decided she no longer could tolerate the light. She led the others against us, destroyed our homes and chased us out.”

She waves her wand and the ruins open up to a beautiful rolling valley bordered by the sea. you recognize it as Sunset Valley! “We have come here, to the very edge of our world where it rubs up against your world. Since they are so close together, our new home is a mirror of yours in many ways: geography, a few buildings. But we need new homes. Even here we’ve heard of your skills, your talent and how happy you’ve made the people in your world. We want you to build our homes, so we can have a fresh start. Will you help us?”

You stay silent for a moment, rubbing the back of your neck and looking over the valley. Then you turn back to the assorted fairytale folks, and take a deep breath. “I’m definitely going to need some help on this one…”

Welcome to the Build-n-Share Weekly Challenge!

The Build-n-Share challenges will be posted every other Wednesday and run for two weeks. Results will be posted approximately one week after all entries have been submitted in the Winner's Circle thread.

Judges and Keepers of the Thread

    Your current host is Kittkat7147

Your official judges are Lebanna, FaithofKaela, _Princess_Natasha_ and ISHTARJMD.

FaithofKaela is the official organizational guru collecting entrants' names, levels, links, and results!

Judges will post their results in the winner's circle thread: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/279926.page

And you can keep up to date on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/buildnshare
Or with our new Twitter feed: @buildnshare

Look for results typically a week after the deadline.

Big thanks to our judges and helpers!

    The benefits
First place will be awarded at all levels. If there are at least eight entries in a category, up to four places will also be announced. Challenges also create an opportunity for community on the forum site. We get to know one another’s names, share news, builds, and positive words. This is a chance to get your name out there, and hopefully make a few friends along the way.

What makes this challenge different from all the other ones I've seen?
We have been hosting this weekly challenge since the first week the game was released. We have many levels of builders in our community and welcome them all. This group is truly a product of all its great members!

Within the first few challenges, our group was recognized by the gurus that be, who have helped the weekly challenges gain even more popularity be stickying both Build-n-Share threads. Since then, we have had at least one featured creation almost every week, and our list of featured members continues to grow.

With 4 successful collaborative neighborhoods (Gnomelandia, Summer of Love, NYC, and Sanshi Sumei) completed, Build-n-Share hopes to bring more creative challenges and new neighborhood ideas to the community with the help of our dedicated participants who willingly contribute and help each week to make sure each challenge runs smoothly.

    The rules
All entries must be original work. Any competitor who submits another builder’s work will be disqualified and banned from any future Build-n-Share challenge. These competitors will also be removed from the Builders' Boulevard related websites if they have chosen to join (membership to the site and the Yahoo! group are not required to enter a Build-n-Share challenge).

Playing your lot to purposefully allow depreciation, i.e. to allow you to buy more stuff for the budget, is not allowed, you can of course play test your lot, but please make a note of the cost of the lot prior to testing and state this as your lot price. Also using 'low value/high quality' CC is a no no.

By entering, you agree to allow your lot to be nominated for Builders' Boulevard's Lot of the Month feature if chosen by the judges. You do not have be a member of Builders' Boulevard to participate in the challenge.

Please announce your official lot posting using the entry form below. Make sure to leave the "Official Entry" label big. If you need to reformat it, you can do this by highlighting the desired text and then selecting "Big" in the font box above. This will help us see the entries in a sea of posts with no pics to guide us.

Entries must be submitted by the deadline, midnight Wednesday evening (eastern time, USA).

Your media should include a variety of screenshots to best showcase your entry. Please include at least one clear shot of the main floorplan of the build. If your build has multiple floors, please take a screenshot of each floor.

A description of the three major level categories

Beginner--I have a little experience, but I'm still figuring a lot of things out. I would not call myself an official "builder" at this point.

Intermediate--I have been building for awhile. I know the basics and maybe a little more. I enjoy building, but it is not my primary focus with the game.

Advanced--I know the Sims, and the Sims knows me. My name is familiar to a lot of veteran players, and I've competed in and won some building challenges and maybe even been recognized in a community showcase or two. I know most of the cheats AND I know how to use them.

We also have a Yahoo! Group for builders. It can be accessed at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/buildersboulevard/ . You do not have to be a member to enter. This group will be used primarily as an announcement center and for some of our more complex polls, and possibly, databases.

    Screenshots: Tips and Tricks

Since judging will be based on screenshots, we figured this would be a good time to go over some tips and tricks in taking good screenshots to help showcase your lovely builds.

    1) Camera Man Mode - This is a must in taking good shots! You will have to be in live mode to do this, but just hit "TAB" to enter this mode. Once you are in this mode, you can use the mouse to freely control the angles and use "W, A, S, D" buttons to move forward, backwards, and side to side. "Z" zooms in, "X" zooms out. "Q" moves up and "E" moves down. "C" to capture the shot.

    2) Find the perfect angle - With photography, it is all about finding the right angle. Spend some time in camera man mode to find the perfect angle. Get down to a sim's point of view to take the best shots of rooms.

    3) Walls up - Most people play with walls cut away, but when you are taking pictures of your lot, try to keep your walls up to make your shots look more realistic.

    4) No grids - Unless you need to show the grid for a specific purpose, make sure no build/buy grid is visible when you take your pictures. You can avoid this by taking pictures in live mode or by hitting the terrain paint button in build mode.

    5) More is better—Weird, huh? But in this case, we want to make sure judges have enough shots to fairly judge your lot. Be sure to show off each room with at least one picture. Also, please include an overhead shot of the floorplan for each level.

Ok, those are the basics! If you want to further your simatography skills, we highly recommend you visit http://simatography.webs.com for more tips and tricks and to see some excellent shots taken by professional simatographers!

Please try to keep this thread as photo free as possible and either create a story, a slide show, a separate thread, or use the stickied photo thread to post shots of your lots!

    A few tips for starters
Here are just a few tips to get you started. If you know a few more and are willing to give them up to the competition , feel free to post below with more info!

    Walls:
Are expensive. Use alternatives whenever possible.

Open layouts work nicely for starters. Just use natural transitioning and create "areas" instead (ie. the kitchen opens onto the living room, instead of being its own little room.)

Simple foundation basements are nice because they are made out of foundation, which is cheaper, and they add a whole lot of room to your house. If you leave them bare with brick walls, they cost even less. (I would at least cover the floor, though.) Attics can be good for the same reason. If you use a pointy roof and the house is big enough, there is some area under the highest point of the roof that's usable. All it costs to utilize this space is a set of the cheapest stairs and some inexpensive flooring.

Diagonal walls can be a little awkward, but because they can go from corner to corner and are wider than regular walls, you get a "room" out of one wall.

    Foundation:
Whether you are going to use a basement or not, hollow out the middle of your foundation floors. You really only need foundation around the outer edge of your home so your walls aren't floating in outerspace. When you use ctrl with the foundation tool, it erases foundation. If the area is still closed in with walls and a border of foundation, you usually are left with a floating floor. If the tile grid "disappears," start from the outside and work your way in. Each new row of floor will add the grid for the row after it. Soon, the whole room is covered.

Deleting the foundation has a second advantage: you can create little sunk-in areas with a set of stairs. Kind of a fun design twist that's cheap.

    Columns:
Also expensive. You know that carport? Instead of columns, you might consider using a two-level patio foundation (the one with the wood slats). Build the patio foundation. Then, on top of that one, hit shift and drag another patio foundation. They stack and become taller. High enough for that carport roof.

You also don't "need" all the columns. If you're trying to get flooring above a column, use the column, add the floor, and then delete the column. Voila! Floating tiles. I wouldn't have a massive floating object with no columns, but a few less than you need helps pinch pennies when you're talking starter.

    Wall coverings:
This is something I've figured out in Sims 3. I probably shouldn't tell you if you haven't done it yet...find the cheapest wall with no built-in pattern you can find (I use Flat Wall in the paint section). Click on it with the create-a-style tool. Go to your brick or whatever other more expensive pattern you want and select it. Your brick wall now costs about $3 less per panel then if you just did it the normal way.

    Floorplan:
Always go small. More walls=more money. They're expensive, and you have to cover them. Make it big enough that the sim can move around. But if they outgrow the house, they can always add on later. This is probably the biggest money-saver for starters.

    Windows:
Check window prices carefully. Some of the double windows will be cheaper than using two of the smaller ones. It's usually not by much, but if you're doing a whole wall of them, it can add up.

    Build and build again:
The cool thing about starters is you can build them pretty quickly. I usually find the more I build consecutively, the more I can get in and for less money.

Create a spooky story using images from you build.

Use no more than 10 images and use this story starter to kick things off:

That abandoned house two doors down has always been a bit creepy. Lights seeming to come on at odd hours... dead birds on the porch... it's just odd.

Then, last night as I was taking my dog King for what turned out to be a longer evening walk than usual, I heard the strangest sounds drifting out of the window...

Hi all! This will be our temporary thread for Build-n-Share until Addict is back. I hope you'll join this starter challenge in honor of the master of all starters... Addict! Let me know if you have any questions about the challenge. I'll have the "helpful links" section updated ASAP.

Big congrats to Addict on her new baby!

Hi guys! Hope everyone in the Build-n-Share community is doing well. I know I haven't been around in ages, but I am so glad to see we are still going. I needed a long break from all the responsibilities. Thank you to everyone who is picking up the slack.

I am so excited to see we are approaching the 100th challenge! I can't wait to see what it is going to be.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out while Addict is busy.

    Cheers and happy simming! <3

Can't wait to start. I never got the chance to finish my build for the last one. We had way too much going on with plays, volleyball tournaments, and field trips.

    LEVEL: Intermediate

LOT SIZE ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 20x30 $16,430 (approx)

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Starter for Ms. Foxglove (http://www.mediafire.com/?kam1w7nuyuve746). 1 bed 1 bath, 1 study for her to advance in her chosen career, a living/dining/kitchen room.
Exterior & Interior French Country inspired. I just love their use of bricks and stones in their construction. Garden outback is a French twist on the English garden so I hope you all like it ^_^ (It would have been better but I was running out of simoleons lol)

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: Yes please. This is my real attempt at a semi-classy starter home and the amount of corners I cut was ridiculous, and I would love to improve. thanks

CREDIT TO SIMMERS FOR CUSTOM CONTENT USED: No Custom Content...I believe.
