Weel, im sort of stuck in bridgeport in late night and as soon as EA releases an optio to more around neighborhoods, I will download your world.

If you go into Edit Town mode you can copy your family (complete with existing skills & funds) to the family bin so that you can 'move in' on a different world.

Beautiful! and looks realistic, which is a plus! Amazing job, would the game run without World Adventures? This might be silly to ask since I'm downloading it without it. So I guess I'll be answering my own question Lol.

Any chance of a Late Night or Generations version of the town? Since the town is so big, subway stations are an obvious addition. Many buildings currently are only there as decorations (eg. various condominiums) and can be upgraded to Late Night apartments.

BTW, Los Aniegos is great! I've enjoyed playing it, but when my game borked, I figured I'd take a break and explore Red County.

NOTE: below is a saved game file of "Red County" an earlier version of California that Coasterboi made. This save file is being posted with permission and is in response to friends that asked for "My" updated version only. This is not Los Aniegos that everyone is waiting for. That's still coming and can only be download from Coasterboi.

Ps. To anyone who uses this save game file, I have cars from Fresh-Prince Creations and a couple of patterns on here but that should be all. Also, this save is completely empty of sims. It takes about 2 sim days for the lag to go away, as the NPC are being added to the game. Then you can add your own people or let story progression do it for you. I really hope you like the mall I put a lot of thought into that part.

The world file from Coasterboi does not BUT the saved game comes with a "Fresh-Prince Creations" car at EVERY house to help get rid of all the same cars all the time Google Fresh-Prince Creations. Also, if you download the files separately, just make a save(folder to put them in) and title it whatever you want with .sims3 at the end. example: CyberRedCountyUpdate.sims3

Then you put the saved folder in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims3/Saves

You don't need to download the individual files. You can just download the file that says it has it all and just drop that folder in the saves folder like the instructions above. I just did that in case the folder didn't work. (I'm a newbie) Hope this helps MistySmudge01 . Also, I added you to my friends list. I must have to Misty's now

FYI, Coasterboi did a Redd County Lite variation where he stripped the world of weather and lots.

There is only one world that I gave serious thoughts of cloning, and this is it. If I were to make changes, I probably would (1) expand Disneyland, (2) make room to add a movie studio, (3) replace the Hollywood sign with a metaobject -- either the sign from Showtime or a custom made sign., (3) replace the downtown skyscrapers with buildings models from LA (converted from flight simulator), make a few custom rabbitholes, (4) replace the airport with a model of LAX (again from flight simulator - there are a couple real nice models of LAX), complete with planes, (5) add some bars and other venues from Late Night, (6) Add some pets, and perhaps and equestrian center in the country, (7) rework the golf course, and ( cull the houses and replace some with deco homes.

But, I'm too lazy to try to clone the CAW files and I don't want to rebuild things from scratch.

In many respects, Red County is superior to Los Aniegos, and it is a shame to see it fade into oblivion.

Though there is limited space there is room to grow. You could also delete things if needed. I have added some clubs from LN but I know you may have some favs you wish to use. Mod the Sims has a mod that allows you to make any lot size if you were interested, but I did add LN and ST lot for each category.

Also, I am a bit OCD when it comes to the sims and I was taking pics at the mall and noticed where I could make improvements to the paint and toy store and I added more pet stuff to the parks. Also trying to make a download that is just one link When put it up in just a few moments.
