You're not the only one that feels that way. I'm glad they don't judge just by the pictures as well.

I can't wait to see what this next challenge will be. But I'll have to wait and find out. I should be sleeping now. LOL Sims is so addictive. Goodnight.

Great job on this challenge, everyone!

Just a quick announcement that starting next week, the deadline time has changed from Wednesday 7am eastern to 7pm eastern to accommodate addict's back to school teaching schedule. Because of this, I will be holding off on posting the next challenge until about 4pm eastern today. That way I can be around to answer any initial questions. So please look for it around then!

A note about depreciation:
There was a lot of stress last time about depreciation. The only rule is this: Please do not play the lot to devalue it. If you exit the home in build mode, some of the items will depreciate (go down in cost). This is absolutely OK! I just don’t want people playing the home for 2 sim weeks to fit in a bunch more items. This is intended to be a starter, so money is a little tight but adequate.
<snip>

I am wondering about this. I see people are much better than me getting their moneys worth, I did not play my lot, but I am wondering if others have? How can you tell and will it affect your ruling?
Cheers!

Zcrollan - I've got your category for judging, so I figured I'd answer.

We can't tell for SURE, but if someone has a ton of decorative items in the house that shouldn't have been able to fit in the budget, it definitely gives us suspicions. Personally, I know what a hard time I had getting some things in, so I'm keeping that in mind when I judge. It comes down to small house = more decor/higher end stuff, versus larger house with very little decor. A big house with a $4k painting in it and an expensive bathtub will definitely make me wonder.

Don't feel too bad about what you fit in - I looked at your lot last night and was very impressed you managed to afford a fireplace. Made me jealous since I opted for the "larger space and not nearly enough furniture" look.

Thanks MamaGoth, I figured it would be hard to see, but some lots got me wondering! (I actually posted on the Boulevard forum too, because I am confused about this rule).

I have NOT installed the latest patch (doing it as we speak) and I have entered and exited my lot a billion times. In the end I got the price where I needed it, but I sure missed the "living for a week" because then I would have afforded the tons and tons of stuff I really wanted there for the girls. haha

The "inside" is my greatest challenge and what I need to work on, thats why this bit me in the as.

Freynas - Amazing is all I can say. I thought I streched myself with the L stairs, but you really outdid yourself. Thanks for sharing all your tips and guides for the roof and showing us how it looked without the roof. That was really amazing, okay, I can't stop saying it.

Annie, thank you for all the comments. I know that takes a lot of time to do it, and you are always here for us. I appreciate your effort, and I’m glad you liked my building. The forum says build-n-share, and for me it’s not just share our buildings but our experiences as well. I’m happy to be part of that group! Thank you!
