Teamwork Contest [Now Open] VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

Hello there lovely people :] I hope you are all ready for my new and first contest. You can now sign up to be either a builder or a decorator. I am still looking for sponsors as well. Since this is a three-part contest I want to give out good prizes.

What to expect:

1. After I have 15 builders and 15 decorators I will create teams. Each team will have a builder and a decorator.
2. I will post an assignment for the builders along with a deadline. Once each builder is done with their part they will need to upload their house for the decorators, who will also have an assignment and a deadline.
3. Once all houses are in the judges will score each house and I will announce who goes on to the next round.

Rules/Guidelines:

1. Cheating = Elimination.
2. Be respectful to your teammate. Communicate with each other. Through email, facebook, twitter, blogs, etc whatever works for the two of you. Get close to

No CC. Use of CC will result in point deduction.
4. Any Expansion, stuff, or store items are accepted.
5. If you can’t upload to the exchange mediafire is allowed.
6. Have fun

Do not sign up if you’re not good with team work projects or if you’re not serious about this. Remember other people will be involved.

Assignment One: Builders

-Build a small family home, Traditional not Modern
Requirements:
One attached garage
two-three bedrooms
one-two bathrooms
No pools or hot tubs, ponds are okay
Pick one lot size [25x20, 25x25, 30x20, 30x30]
Pictures:
At least one picture of the floor plans
One of the front
One of the back
Budget:
Try to stay under 75,000. 125,000 if you choose to landscape

Deadline: August 25th, 2011

Assignment One: Decorators

Requirements:
At least one fire place
Keep furniture on the cheaper side, not too expensive. Think of a middle class family.
I’d like to see more patterns than solid colors
One of the bedrooms needs to be a nursery
Cozy atmosphere, friendly, inviting.
Pictures:
Five minimum Twenty Maximum
Budget:
Try to stay under 100,000. 125,000 if you choose to landscape

Deadline: September 16th, 2011

NOTE: It is up to the two of you to decide who does the landscaping. Which includes anything added outside of the house. Such as playgrounds, ponds, pools etc. Builders you also need to paint the exterior of your house, as well as adding doors, arches, walls and or half walls to the interior. Decorates you are not allowed to remove or add walls/ half walls, doors, aches or windows. Ask your builder to if something needs to be changed.

Score Sheet Round One: Judges

Followed Assignment = 40
Builders On Time = 15
Final On Time = 15
Creativity = 30
Does décor match style of home[Traditional house, mod décor] = 10
Sportsmanship = 10
Creative use of space [Too crowded too much empty space] = 10
Playable [can my sims move around and use things] = 10
Wow Factor = 10

Total = 150

Judges please start judging as soon as the first completed house is in. So we all aren’t rushing at the end. Thank you.

This sounds like an interesting idea! At elimination time during each round, would the whole team be eliminated or, if the decorating was amazing the builder would be eliminated but the designer would be safe (and vice versa). Also, would your team be the same for the whole competition or would you mix partners after each round?

I'm sure you would dear but it'll be hard for people to do that. There will be people who want the same teammate and that won't be possible. :/ and I don't want any arguments or fights. The whole point of the contest is to see how well you work with someone you're not use to. It wouldn't be that hard for you guys to work with your best buddy. But I have faith that everyone will create something amazing.

Yes the whole team would be elimanted. It's up to the team members to find ways to talk to each other. Figure out what's best for team. You'll have more than enough time to try things out. Make a few houses, design a few rooms. Take your time and see what you both like. And I'm not sure if I'll mix the teams or not lol I'll let you know when I open the contest.
