I never have large families, that isn't the problem. My families are usually,5 at most. But since we now will be able to control the animals, does that mean we will have limited space for Pets/Sims?

I am not aware of the official answer to this but a lot of people are assuming that since pets are fully controllable the max amount of sims and pets combined in a household you can have is 8. and apparently, if you really want, you could have a household of 8 animals with no sims!

Nah, I think there has to be at least one sim in a household of pets.

I hope the household limit will be increased. I'll be quite upset if it isn't.

I see no reason why there won't be an increase in the household limit. In sims 2 pets, the household limit increased to 10, so if you had 8 sims, you could still have a dog and a cat (the max number of sims remained 8.). I reckon in this ep, there will be an increase to allow for large families who want pets. I'm guessing it'll go up to 10 or even 12. I'm secretly hoping though that there will be two panels, as the pets are now controllable, so that would give us 8 sims and 8 pets. I don't know if that'll happen though. Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about household limit, unless you intend to have a large family with loads of animals. I'm taking it as a given that the household limit will go up by at least 2, allowing pets for large families.

I don't suppose we'll know the answer to this one until it comes out. There is going to be a games convention in Germany next week and some simmers will be there from the UK, I could add that question to the questions to be asked and we'll see if we can get an early tip. Though don't hold your breath or it, just in case they want to keep playing their cards close to their chest.

I think they are getting a shot of the game, so they might be able to just find out that way.

Yeah, I'd want them to extend the household limit, and maybe even have the 2 different panels like you mentioned.
