Lainie and Becky were walking in the park when they heard the sound of crying coming from the children's playground.They went over to see what was going on,and found a young child sobbing next to the sandbox.
"What's wrong,sweetie?"Lainie asked softly.
"I-I was playing with my f-friends,we w-w-were pilots."The girl answered between sobs."Bu-but they w-wanted to be airplanes pilots,and I s-said I wanted to be a rocket pilot,and we had a fight,and they l-left,and now I'm all alone!"
"Well,we'll play with you,won't we Becky?"Lainie told her,winking at her friend.
Becky was about to refuse,but when she saw the look on the girl's face,she nodded as enthusiastically as she could and smiled at her:
"Sure!We'll be airplane pilots.And you can pilot your rocket,okay ?"
Soon they were laughing and shouting,their arms stretched out wide.Becky was a little embarrassed at first,but the young rocket pilot's beaming smile made it all worth it.
