1.5 The Lavoir Legacy: Unexpecting
Hello and welcome to the Lavoir Legacy, where we have received some unexpected news…
Yeah right, ‘unexpected’. This is your fault. You clicked ‘Try for baby’ and I know it!
My finger slipped…
Well it doesn’t matter anyway because I refuse to be pregnant. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to work.
Since when do you have a car?
You mean you didn’t buy this for me?
No, like you could afford it. I’m selling this right away.
You have to tell Barry.
Tell him what? That I’m not pregnant? Because I’m not!
Fine then, just keep doing your makeovers.
Where are you going? You’re on the clock you know.
I have to go home; I could really go for some mac and cheese.
Would you say this was a craving?
I told you, I’m not pregnant! Now excuse me as I throw up…
What? Don’t look at me like that; I had a lot to drink last night!
I was just going to tell you the oven’s still on.
Man! That was a close one.
Yeah, if your house burnt down where would you raise the baby?
For the last time! I. AM. NOT…
Oh look! I’m pregnant.
I hate to say I told you so...
Then don’t.
Are you calling Barry?
Yes, ssssssssshh! He says he’ll come over.
Poor guy, he’s got no idea…
When she told him she was pregnant, he was really happy.
He gave me thumbs up, that hardly fatherly spirit.
You did tell him he was the father right?
Yes… at least I think I did…
Lexie tried to kiss him, but he pulled away.
Well if he’s going to act like that he can just leave!
I agree honey, Barry is trash!
*sob* But we were supposed to be together forever!
Poor kid, want to watch some TV?
She did, and that didn’t surprise me. What did surprise me though was that she turned on, not the romance channel, but kids TV!
Well I’m going to be a mum right? I have to get used to this.
This place is disgusting. How can I raise a child here! I need to read a parenting book!
So off to the library we went, I was genuinely surprised at Lexie’s commitment to parenting.
She even went out of her way to talk to this kid.
Oh please don’t let my baby be that ugly!
I take it back, this child is screwed.
You won’t be ugly will you, no you won’t.
Lexie, you’re scaring people.
When did you get so mushy?
Shut-up and take me to the diner, I need spaghetti and ice cream.
And while she was trying this disgusting combination, who should I see but Barry ‘baby-abandoner’ Tenderlove.
I brought out Lexie ready to give him a good talking to, but he seemed so excited about her baby bump.
So we decided to forgive him!
And it seems, now that the initial shock has worn off, he’s willing to kiss her and everything.
So I asked him to move in together!
And with the extra money he brought to the house hold…
They had enough to move to a more family friendly home!
*I also discovered Barry wishes to marry Lexie, but sssh, it’s a surprise* and don’t ask me why he changed his hair back, I like his new ‘do.
Awww, look at them finally at peace.
Of course, that didn’t last long.
Would you stop narrating for two seconds! I’m in labor here!
Here’s the home in the day light, I’ll give you the tour next chapter.
Nahhhh, just do it now, remember to get a few good shots of me giving birth on the lawn!
You're mean when you’re pregnant.
Slow down would you Barry? Your girlfriend can’t keep up.
Sorry, I’m just so excited!
Barry? Who gave you a speaking role?
I did, he’s part of the family now.
A few hours later Lexie came out with a beautiful Baby girl named Shay, who is artistic and excitable.
And Barry followed with her twin sister Grace, who is absent-minded and insane.
And I leave you off with this picture of family bliss. Tune in next time to see how Barry and Lexie cope with family life, because things are going to get a lot harder around here with twins in the house! Leave your comments below and see you next time on the Lavoir legacy.
