Drugs. These potheads in real life society are all about drugs and destroying young peoples brains with drugs and making the entire society less productive through their evil methods to turn everyone else into lazy, hippie, anti-war drug addicts.

So true! Gain or lose weight? Get implants? No having to deal with buying a whole new wardrobe - everything in your closet magically adjusts to your exact shape!

Also: job interviews. Sims don't have to fear being over or underqualified for the job they're applying for. There's never an unemployment crisis or a job shortage. Any sim can walk into any business and get an entry level job, no questions asked. There's always an opening in every field.

THIS. Lucky ducks! I've been hunting for ages with no luck... Finally have a potential plan A and a potential plan B, though, for the first time in quite a while.

Also, all those things that have been mentioned, like menstrual cycles and stuff.

ANNNND

Social issues and things with a serious stigma attached (LGBTQ rights, racism, HIV/AIDS, etc.). I love that they made it so that whether or not two men can get married are left entirely up to the player, instead of restricting it to just male/female couples. If a player doesn't want men marrying men or women marrying women in their game, that can simply not be done. If a player wants it, then it can be done. That freedom makes me happy.

-Cancers, Other Diesese...
-Puberty, Cliques, School Drama
-Violence, Assault, Murder!
-Resessions, Finacial Crisis
-Depression, Self-Harm etc
-Car Crashes, Run Over etc

There is alot more. I honestly don't know why some Sickos on the forum want Cancer, Terminal Illnesses, Murder, The Tradgey of seeing a loved one die etc. -_-

Well,

I agree with some of these, but I disagree. As you know I would.

The things they did leave out or remove that did make the game 'funny' and challenging to cure sometimes but fun:

The flu, a cold, getting fat and the Sim 'noticing' and wanting to get 'fit' again.

A virus spreading thru out the town from the Science reward object, food poisoning-Sim throwing up every where they go until cured, Dieing from the flu if no one in the household could make the antidote from the Science reward machine.

Flies..swarming flies that devour your Sims in a black cloud if your house was too nasty from green plates, dirty diapers, and green, left over bottles. Stinky fumes to the point neat Sims couldn't stand it.

Roaches, no more stomping roaches and getting the flu from using to much pesticide, a chance you might get fired from your job...making your Sim miserable and refusing to find another job, or socialise, or have fun until the mood wore off, motives dropping far enough to kill your Sim when they saw a ghost, random deaths from 'weather' not yet returned to the game....

Yeah, for everything we got with this 'nice' moodlet system we lost a lot of 'fun'.

In real life, stuff happens and no I wouldn't want things like cancer in the game..absolutely no, but geez they removed everything to make TS3 a cake/pie game.

May I add, don't mean to hijack your thread OP..but to me TS3 is more like TS1 with better graphics in so many respects that after being given so much game play in TS2 it is much more a step backwards with just better graphics.

Take for instance shrubs no longer need trimming..TS1.
No illness...TS1.
No mishaps...TS1.
Less Interactions or very long pauses between interactions...TS1.
How they walk...TS1.
How they interact with one another and the limited pie menus..TS1.
Flowers no longer need watering...TS1.
Cars are just pixels..that show up thru out the town..TS1's Superstar, fake cars driving around...like in Bridgeport car spamming..
Sims no longer find looking at art raises fun meter thingy..TS1.
How they eat (animations of head movements) TS1.
How they interact with limited options with children..TS1.
How the job is the big thing in their lives...with no chance to be fired...TS1. No vacation days..TS1.

Just TS1 revamped..and everything Simmers felt improved The Sims in TS2 because it opened up a whole new way to play and interact and 'things' did happen to Sims..gone and a return to the bare minium basics of TS1.

I thought that there was illnesses in TS1, I remember something called "Crazed Guniea Pig Diesese" or something like that? I may be delusional but I am sure there was a cold or flu thing in TS1 :]
And you can be fired in all Sims games, My Sim just got fired when I was playing TS3 earlier today and I am sure that a lot of my Sims got fired in TS1. There is also vacation days in TS3...
