I wouldn't be surprised with all these releases have someting to do with the upcoming release of Simcity and I am waiting to see what kind of affect it will have on the Sims being Simcity itself was just as popular and older than the Sims.

To be honest I don't see how they can say that this island is made for seasons. It's supposed to be like a tropical island? How does that fit in with winter and fall?
Plus I don't believe that the people who made seasons are the same people who made this world.

My issue with Sunlit Tides is that it's boring.

It has been designed with ocean swimming in mind, at least from what others have said, with small islands that you can swim to. Ppl don't mean necessarily weather wise but the ocean swimming which comes in the seasons patch in November. It's where the 'Should've been in Seasons' stems from.
Regardless of when the world comes out compared to Seasons. It has been optimised for the ocean swimming. It's that simple. And why do ppl think the teams don't talk to each other?

But like any other world, you can say the same for Hidden Springs, Lucky Palms, or any of the EP Worlds. I think the statement just makes it sound much better as they want to promote Seasons themselves by hyping the swimming portion of the patch, which is not tied to the game itself, rather something anyone can enjoy.
I'm sure even if Seasons wasn't released, they would probably still release this type of world.

I agree, too. Now you have to pay for sim points and i am not going to do that. its stupid. If they gave out Sim points in each game, that would be alot better. Maybe even add a wheel so people could win Sim points or something.

They made it perfectly clear that they were not putting a new town in with Seasons because they wanted to work on integrating seasons into already established worlds. Yet now they are saying that right around the time seasons comes out, this new world (basically built for seasons) will be released in the store. So not only do we have to pay for the expansion pack, we also have to pay for the new world.
Who else thinks us dedicated simmers are getting a little ripped off yet again?
(These are just my opinions, agree or disagree, I am not trying to start a fight, just needed to vent to people who understand)
The Store team and the EP team are completely seperate, the world would have come along eventually wether Seasons was coming now or later. They have very little in common either than being apart of the Sims team. They have different leads and everything. The ones who work on EP's find out about store stuff the time we find out about them.

While I can see how this fits with Seasons, I do believe it was a separate team.
I used to move every time and buy every new world but now I'm on the hunt for a custom world that encompasses everything I like from various styles and can be used for the rest of the series

The only thing I wish is that the massage table was included in an EP. But hey, I don't see how a tropical island is fit for an EP that's supposed to showcase all four Seasons. I do know that I'm getting this world though. No way I'm passing up getting rid of that spa rabbithole in my game and putting a fully functional one in it's place.

I can understand the OP's frustration about not including a world in Seasons. This business of selling "worlds" through the store only started with Sims 3 so for me, it's kind of annoying. It doesn't make me angry but it does limit my game play since I can't afford all the separate worlds and stuff packs. But, that's my problem, not EA's. I guess I'll just have to win the lottery. In all honesty, Sunlit Tides doesn't appeal to me that much. I'm way more excited for the new weather, traits, etc. in Seasons than I am for a new world.
