New Patch Not Patching Game

I started my game up today and it said there was a patch available, so I proceeded up to update my game with the patch and it failed ... twice!!! Has anyone else experience problems like this?

Yep. Seems there's a couple different errors. Mine keeps coming up with Invalid File Found.

Yup, I've got the invalid file stuff, too.

Same here. Error messages I have never seen ever pop up before on any EA game. Always something with this game...

i just saw the update option on my game now but i thought id check the forums first to see how its working before i download it. atm my game is working fine except for the speed buttons.

should i upgrade or wait a bit ?? i dont want to screw over my game by doing this...

If you've replaced any of your files with cracked ones or modified ones, such as the "nude patch" that's currently circulating online...the patcher will reject them and tell you that there are invalid files in your game. If you saved your original files before replacing them with any modified versions, replace them and run the patcher again. It will work once all unmodified files are back where they belong.

Thanks for reporting these errors. I've just patched my own game and am testing for any issues now. So far, things are looking great, but please keep posting any issues you have so we can address them as quickly as possible.

i dont have any other patches on my game... all ive added is the new skin and face custom content at peggysims, just easy custom content.... would that be rejected? im scared to download it now haha

I just installed the patch, too. Haven't had any problems like they listed, though. About to try and see if my game got any better! I didn't know if my speed buttons were having problems or if I was impatient, but it seems like the last one (4) doesn't go fast. It clicks off on to speed 3 when my Sims are sleeping. Also my game "freezes"-I've booted my computer twice since I got the game. Hopefully it works.

Just so ya know...

i do have the nude patch but i dont have this exact issue...
when the download finishes my screen shaded out and i hear a bing sound; when windows vista opens the user account control...i assumed to allow the patch to install....but nothing poped up...it went away...and the launcher opened again and said "there is a new patch. whould you like tp update?" but i just did....... O_o
and to make things worse...i didnt save the original files. >_<
i never do. because i usualy dont have problems with over-written files. bbahh.
all i want the patch for is the speed fix...which it apperently dosnt fix anyway?

Mine installed flawlessly. I do have the nude patch, but I got the "good" one off of MTS.

I get the error about modified files and to re-install the game. I never downloaded any mods so I don't understand why I'm getting this. ugh!

I am having problems...I had no problems before the patch and now my game won't run for more then a minute. I only have one mod and it's the instant skills one from MTS. I know other people who have the same mod and have nothing wrong. Does anyone know how to remove the patch without reinstalling the game or losing any saved games?
